I needed service outside of the 9-5 window when mechanics are usually open. Anykine Assistance was responsive, professional, and very reasonable. Called Anykine Assistance around 6 pm and they replied and arrived within an hour. The car worked after jumpstarting and he assured me the battery wasn't drained and wouldn't need replacing after it had been om I had already paid when Kaleo noticed my front bumper; it looked as if someone punched it, forcing the panel to jut out. He kindly offered to help fix it's appearance in a jiffy, without me mentioning it! He was able to pop the dent out and used some of his tips and tricks to make it look half decent again. It would've cost an arm and leg to replace the bumper, if he hadn't kindly offered to help make it look normal again. I wish I could give zero stars for this con artist because that's what he deserves. I found this guy here on yelp and sent a text message on April 22 to ask if he could change a freeze plug on my 1998 Ford Ranger. He said yes. Then I don't hear from him for over a week. I wish I listened to my gut feeling that this guy was a joke. He was unprofessional the 3 days I had to deal with him. When I asked him how long it would take, he said for the job it would take a day, max one day and a half. He said he would come at 10am on May 5 to start the work. DAY 1: He didn't show up until after 1pm. When he finally gets here with his "assistant/wife" he checks the truck out and says that he can change the freeze plugs where the coolant leak was and that that I should change the thermostat too. I asked how much he would charge me for the job and he said $700. I wasn't expecting to spend that kind of money but said ok. So he and his "assistant" says they have to go to napa to get the parts. They leave at 2pm and don't come back till almost 5pm. He changes the thermostat and starts to change the freeze plug under the intake manifold. In the middle of doing the work he gets a call from someone who's car was not running, so he abandons the work he started with my truck with parts all over the place and goes to help his friend and doesn't get back till after 9pm. I asked him about how long it's going to take to finish the freeze plugs and he said he will finish it the next day "no excuses". DAY 2: Shows up after 1pm. Has issues with the freeze plugs and has to go back to the store to get the right parts further delaying finishing the job. I got downstairs to give them water and he complains to me the whole time about how he should be getting more money. I told him that I agreed to give him what he asked for then he said it was a "misunderstanding" and that I should be paying him more. I made him understand that I could only pay what we agreed to and he said ok. He drops the transmission and removes the stick shift and starter. At the end of day 2 he finished changing the freeze plug under the intake manifold but not the other one then asks me to pay him. I said I can't pay him till the job is done. He said he needed gas money because he's coming from Kapolei. I gave him $150, pretty much all the cash on hand that I had and told him that I have to go to the bank to get the rest of the payment and I will do that with the truck. He said ok and that he will finish the job no later than the next day. DAY 3: Shows up after 1pm again with a friend (no wife today). At 2:46pm he sends a text message saying he will take me to my bank to get the money. I said he won't get any more money until the job is done and asked how much work they had left. He said plenty but wanted me to have the cash on hand when they are done which would be after 4pm. I didn't reply. At 6:07pm he sends a text saying he has bad news. When I go downstairs he tells me I got a blown head gasket and that fixing it would cost more than the car was worth. I asked how he knew and he said because it was misfiring. He did no other test to see if it was a blown head gasket, then tells me that I can junk my truck, that was worth over $4000 before he touched it, for $200. Him and his friend leave without reinstalling the transmission or putting back the starter. My truck had parts all over the place. When other mechanics came to look at what he did they all said they can't believe that he would just leave the car dismantled the way it was. When I spoke to my neighbor she said she saw him and his wife googling how to change a freeze plug when she walked by. This guy doesn't know what he is doing (look at the photos). He had no idea what he was doing but wanted more money and when I said no he abandoned the job. He couldn't even remove the stick shift without breaking pieces from it. Please don't let this clown touch your car, you'll regret it like I did. He is unprofessional and a con artist. It's called anykine assistance because he makes anykine with you car. read more

Update your service pricing in your intro so that people don't get confused, or name your price per job upfront, you knew my car was a Ford Escape. If you hadn't wasted your time, and mine on the fob I never asked you to fix, the both of you would have been gone in a half hour with $100 including tip. We had a flat tire on the way home at 1:30am on the Pali Highway near the Nuuanu Pali Drive. It was raining off and on and windy. We called our road side assistance through our insurance and waited a little over 2 hours. They ended up as a no show. The insurance company tired to secure a second company but were unsuccessful after about an hour effort. It was already 4:30 am so I searched Yelp and found Anykine Assistance. Prior to calling this one I had tried a few other places but no one was answering their phone. When I called Anykine, Kaleo answered and was finishing up a job and said he could assist us. He arrived and by then daylight was approaching. Kaleo was friendly and professional along with his assistant. They changed my tire with no problem and we were finally on our way. Absolutely amazing to say the least. My 2017 BMW 330e wouldnt start and had no power, due to some fault codes I figured I needed my battery replaced but wasnt fully sure. I know even less than you could think possible about cars. Kaleo came out the same day as my panicked call, ran diagnostics, and replaced my battery all in one go. I wasnt quite sure of the services needed done but he was quick and efficient and got her running in no time! Look, when your alternator goes out your battery will not keep a charge for very long. You basically have two choices: One, get your car towed to the shop to get a new alternator put in or two, get someone who can install one for you at your home. I called three different mobile repair businesses and explained that I already diagnosed the problem by removing the negative black cable from the battery while the car was running. The car died instantly, which meant my alternator was no longer working. (It was pretty old, so that was the first thing I checked.) Two businesses never called back and the third said that they don't come out to Hawaii Kai. I looked through all the Yelp reviews and came across Anykine Assistance. I thought, whoa, this guy Kaleo seems too good to be true. So I called and he said he had a few other jobs but could come out later that day if I still wanted to do it. Unreal! He came out and wasn't pau hana until 9:30 pm, after working on it for a couple of hours. This bruddah definitely knows his stuff! And he's such a nice and honest guy. Our Jeep's check engine light came on was running rough. We found Kaleo online and within 30 mins he was at our house. He diagnosed our car and offered to begin repairs right away, but we decided against it because of the weather. Our car was parked on the street on a steep hill, and Kaleo said it would be no problem. Our engine was misfiring and needed a new fuel injector, new oil housing, and other minor repairs. We left the keys with him and he was able to finish the job within 2 days, and we did not have to be present at all. He would text us updates as they came, he is constantly bouncing around jobs, but it didn't matter because we did not have to be there. He made this whole process very easy with no stress. I would 10/10 recommend him for any of your mechanical needs. I am most impressed with how knowledgeable and flexible he is, especially with a larger repair. My son's 2015 Nisson Versa's engine light came on on Sunday, February 2nd. There was nothing noticeable about the engine's running/performance, and all fluid levels were adequate. We called around to six good/reliable auto repair shops that had serviced our vehicles in the past, and without exception, they all had an automatic fee of $150 or more just to perform the computer diagnostic test of a "check engine light"; other Yelp-suggested auto repair services declined to even consider it. The Nissan dealership asked for a flat fee of $200 - as all dealerships tend to attempt to charge and "arm and a leg." On Wednesday, February 5th, I contacted Kaleo, the owner/mechanic of Anykine Assistance mobile auto repair at about 2:25PM. He was currently in Pauoa off of Pali - close to our home in Kalihi, and said that he was working on an extensive/troublesome job, but should be finished in about five hours. He arrived at about 7:15 PM. He was able to assess that the problem was simply faulty wiring using computer diagnosis in less than 15 minutes, and finished rewiring and fixing the problem in about the same amount of time! He only charged us our prearranged cost of $75 to assess the problem!!! He came amply prepared with assorted tools and equipment to fix almost any problem it appeared, AND he travels to YOUR location. He was quite friendly in discussion, and communicative in detailing the problem. Should we ever need auto mechanic service/assistance in the future, we will solely contact him first! My daughter called me this morning that her car couldn't start. She's in her 20s and lives in Oahu and my husband and I live on the Big Island. The AAA guy that helped to jump my daughter's car said that the problem was her alternator and for $800 they could fix it for her that afternoon. My husband's friend who lives in oahu and is a mechanic said it doesn't sound like the alternator is the problem but because he was busy he couldn't help her. So he suggested to shop around for a better price and maybe another mechanic. We're on the Big Island helping my daughter find a legit shop to check out her car so I decided to go on Yelp and find shops with high ratings that could help her. She called a few places and I came across Anykine Assistance in Yelp and told her to call. What i liked about this business was that everybody's reviews were good, he had a mobile business where he could drive to her, and it seemed like he knew what he was doing. I was right! When my daughter said that when she called Kaleo she explained her car problem. Right off the bat he said he didn't think it was the alternator because she wouldn't be able to drive at all... same thing my husband's friend said. I knew he must be good. He charged less than a shop for her to drive to his place to diagnose the problem. He found the problem, told her the price, she paid a little over half the total price so he could pick up the part. The remaining was paid when he completed the job. He told her that he had to meet another customer then he was going to pick up the part and drive to her place to work on the car. He did! He worked on the car for a couple hours and the car is working great. Starts up easy. She said he's a very good mechanic and kept his number so that she can call him for oil changes and any other problem. She said that he's a great local braddah and really knows his stuff. My BMW X3 (just of warranty, of course) was not performing to its usual level last night - could only go 5 mph even though I was pressing down on the accelerator pedal and no problem indication light or sign that something was wrong. Luckily, I was still in the parking lot of the gym, so I parked it and began thinking how the heck I was going to get home. Looked on Yelp for a mobile mechanic, and came across Anykine Assistance. Called the number, spoke to Kaleo, and tried to describe what was going on with my car. He said to give him some time and he would be right over (he got there in about 10 mins. or so). Upon arriving, he plugged in his diagnostic tool, and his screen started to populate with red warnings, so he got under the hood to see what was wrong and checked the connections, etc. Not quite sure what he did but he got the problem fixed (likely something blocking the air intake that got cleared while he was checking under the hood), and my car started to sound and feel much better. Kaleo and Anykine Assistance gets 5 stars from me (if I could give him more stars, I would do so in a heartbeat) for getting my car back to normal so I could drive home. He even told me if my car acted up on my way home, to call him and he would make sure I got home. Thankfully, I made it all the way home, and today, there isn't any indication that something is wrong with my car. I've saved Kaleo's contact # for any car issue I have in the future.
