Having called MANY other venues before I found Lucas Event Center it was REALLY FRUSTRATING how every single venue that I called & even went to look at in person would NOT budge on the fee at all..NO negotiation..like really!!! Do these venues not know negotiation equals great customer service!!! BUT the owner(Gloria) of Lucas Event Center must know this since she was totally open to negotiation because yes, I want my kids to have an awesome & of course bad-a$$ graduation party BUT I am on a budget & senior year is costly so having Gloria be open to negotiating on the cost is 5+++++++++Stars in my book all day, every day!!! Since sharing is caring :) read below for ALL the reasons why Lucas Event Center is the venue that you'll want to use for your special event or to even use as a work training space.... -Budget Friendly: Open to negotiating on the price & working w/ your budget..THANK YOU Lucas Event Center!! -The venue is very pretty w/ a built in stone bar, wood flooring, & has a built in projector on the ceiling to use for a slideshow or presentation, built in colorful party lights (sorry don't know the correct names of those darn pretty lights), has a built in stage for the DJ, you can also have another stage built if needed. -When you rent the venue this does include tables, chairs, & clean up services after your event (awesome I know) & you have the option of renting the venue only & you doing your own decor, setup, etc but if you don't want to do your own decor, setup, etc Lucas Event Center also does decor..table linens, chair covers, balloon arches, fabric draping on the ceiling & on walls, etc so together w/ Gloria the owner you decide on what your vision is for your event & she will execute it for you..again all budget friendly because you have the option of deciding on what you can do & what you want the venue to do. -Lucas Event Center has 2 spaces you can rent depending on your event size..a smaller room that fits up to 100 people or the bigger space that fits up to 350 OR both spaces can be combined & rented out to have a whole lotttttttttttt of space :), which is what I decided to do even though my party size is for 125 people (at least for now it is ;) -The other event services offered by Lucas Event Center are photography, cakes, balloon arches, balloon columns, etc..... We booked just in time and we were able to actually come in and set up a couple of times so that we had a visual concept (only on Wednesdays). The communication between us and the park was really calming and they were able to almost accommodate all of our request. It is not overly expensive and you are given virtually the entire venue. Our experience was 10/10. Any events such as baby showers, wedding receptions, graduation parties etc, this is your way to go.

However, the AC turns COMPLETELY OFF when the doors are open and takes forever to cool down the room even the least bit. We spent 4 hours in 80+ degree heat due to this dysfunction. If you are planning an event I would recommend you LEAVE THE DOORS LOCKED. Otherwise, beautiful venue, wish I didn't sweat for 4 hours in formal wear, or that this wasn't a venue in Texas.

I've been DYING to go back ever sense. I don't think I can even explain to you how addictive and all consuming the joy of playing these games are. Bonus, it's for sure a work out. If I lived closer I would would be at this joint two or three times a week, and in the best shape of my life. The games are all fast paced and high energy, but does it feel like a workout? Not at all, until you realize when you are so SHWEATY. It's like burst sprints mixed with body weights and maybe some yoga? I just know that I loved it in a way that I haven't loved physical activity since I was in my teens. The staff was all super friendly too. The perfect kind of friendly as well. Polite, informative, but not all fake high energy/chatty like your at a kids camp. It was nothing but good vibes. It was fairly busy when we went, which means we had to cycle through rooms pretty fast, but there are so many rooms! You can always go back for your favorites again later, and some of the ones that "looked" boring were actually the most fun for me. I was practically BEGGING them to give me a membership, but they don't do those... Yet? There was some discussion of some locations offering memberships as a trial run, and that it might become a thing nationwide. *fingers crossed* GO!

Our family of five did have a boatload of fun though at 8, 11, 14 and 42. Lots of skills levels so it was good to be able to pick a variety of games. Note to anyone with shorter kids - maybe skip the basketball room as our 8 year old took a rebounding ball right to the face because he was the perfect height. Also, sometimes the rooms don't work. We wasted time in one room because it stopped working and we didn't know. It let us do two full rounds with literally nothing happening. They do fix them fairly quickly, but your time is gone already and you don't get it back ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This would be great on a weekday where I assume the crowds are smaller. Would do again - we all came out sweaty and smiling.

By the time we got there, ordered our drinks and sat down on the couch, a group of people came in and sat near us with drinks in hand. Guess this hotel lobby is the trending place. The vibe is pretty cool. It doesn't feel like a lobby. Just seems like a chill place to talk and catch up without a lot of noise and distractions. I believe the bar in the lobby is open to midnight. I got a mint cookie drink. And literally tastes like a liquid mint chocolate cookie. I could have had 4 more. Yum, minty.
