Do not hire this Company!!! Owner, Chris Lawrence is a very nice and personable man. When He first…read morevisited us and presented his sales pitch and products we were impressed. He told us he was a certified installer for Armstrong, but later I called and He is not. I read the reviews on Home Advisors and also went and seen another job he had completed. Looked pretty good. So, I Bought my Armstrong flooring from Him(which I found out later was much higher than other flooring businesses. We set a date for him to start job, He didn't show. When he finally started job, late quite often, or not show up at all with no phone calls or text informing me he would be late, unless I initiated them. He would come one day and not show up the next or the next day either. When He did show up, he would work a little while then say he had to leave to work on another job and would be back. But he didn't come back! His helpers were so inexperienced, they knew nothing about laying flooring. All that aside, the workmanship was the worse problem. I have boards cut too short against wall in several places that even molding won't cover up. Several damaged places in wood that should not have been used. I wonder now if he bought seconds somewhere. He also used a nail gun and really damaged our Hickory flooring we had bought. I questioned him about nail holes and He promised when He was done that I would never know where a nail hole was at. That they would all go on the sides that would be covered by molding. I found out later, by other installers that he did everything wrong. He promised to fill and touch up nail holes he made, however He never did. Repeated calls to Him and texts but no response. Stairs are the worse. Not safe to use and so many nail holes showing! Chris promised my Husband and I that he would come back and fix everything so we went ahead and paid Him. Such a Dumb Mistake!!!He won't return any of our calls, texts or emails. We have never heard from Him again. My husband did some repairs, but we had to hire another contractor to fix everything. I could go on and on about all the mistakes He made. He was suppose to provide all the corner round, which was suppose to be primed, painted and installed. Absolutely none of the molding was painted. The day he worked on molding He was in such a hurry to get to another job that He made several bad cuts and horrible technique with nail gun. My Husband redid after we realized Chris wasn't coming back. In addition to doing hardwood flooring Chris also said He was an expert tile layer. He is not. Did our Bathroom and grout started coming out 2 weeks later. Tile started breaking. We had to buy tile and do our Bathroom over. Chris might know how to lay carpet but his wood flooring and tile skills are nonexistent. This was a costly mistake for us. Almost $10,000. Please don't make thec mistake we did. Run don't walk to a legitimate and experienced wood Flooring and tile layer. Don't fall for His story of awful divorce and of raising 3 daughters by Himself and He used them and His Mother and sister's illnesses quite often for not showing up or touching base with you. He has a way of making you feel sorry for Him.
