Had A&S do some work on my palm trees, this morning, & they were GREAT! At my home, they were scheduled to remove & grind the stump of a SUPER-TALL palm, plus trim two other palms. Additionally, they were to remove two palms at my next-door neighbor's home. They showed up right on-time. One huge truck. Then, another. And, then another! And so many guys, each moving quickly & seeming to know exactly what he was assigned to do. They covered my little pond, carefully moved some patio furniture, and afterwards blew all the tree dust off the lawns/driveways and swept up into trash cans. Start-to-finish on the two properties was just over two hours. It was actually kinda entertaining to watch the whole process (all the little neighborhood kids enjoyed watching the action, too ). Hired to trim multiple Ficus trees in our back yard. Poor job all around. They were difficult to work with. Left dead branches and refused to come back to finish the job when I asked them. Also, claimed that our neighbors trimmed the trees after they left and threw the branches and cuttings over into our yard. See the photos of what we found. It was more than a single pick up truck could hold. Utterly ridiculous claim about our neighbors. Needless to say I would never use or recommend them again. read more

I saw a couple of mentions of good service from this company, so I did some research and was encouraged by the positive reviews. I contacted them for a quote, and they called back right away to arrange a time to come out. They were on time, courteous, and very professional. I needed a very large tree that is hanging over our property line and damaging our pool and deck. Jesus knew what we needed, but also what he was legally allowed to do. I appreciated that. He gave me a fair quote, we set the day and time. His staff showed up on time, accomplished the task needed in less time than he estimated. They did a great job. Cleaned up the area perfectly. It was a great transaction, easy to deal with. All the technicians were friendly and courteous. I highly recommend this company for any tree work you need. We will be using them again. read more

My wife and I wanted to get an estimate to remove eighteen Ficus trees from our yard. We did some research online and felt A & S Tree Service would be a good choice. They had many good reviews on Yelp. We called on a Sunday. Yelp showed their hours as 24 hrs. We felt that meant someone would answer the phone around the clock. We got an answering machine and left a message. We did not expect a call-back on a Sunday and we did not get one. Monday morning came and went and still no call-back. I decided to call again and spoke to JESUS. I explained that we wanted the Ficus trees removed and stumps grounded down. JESUS and I agreed to have him come out for an estimate on the following Thursday at 2:00pm. I then texted JESUS our address along with some photos of the trees. Thursday came and it was about 2:20pm and we had not heard from JESUS again. I called him and asked if he was on his way and he said we were not on his calendar and he would not be coming out. I told him I texted him our address and photos right after our initial phone call. The text also confirmed the day and time. JESUS apologized. I was expecting him to ask for another time to come out, but he did not. I was about to hang up and he said he would look at the photos and give me an estimate based on those. I told him that would be fine. Fast-forward two and a half hours and still no estimate. I texted JESUS again and he finally gave me an estimate. I'm sure A & S Tree Service does fine work and I am happy they have so many 5-Star ratings. But based on our interaction with A & S Tree Service, we cannot give the same 5-Star rating. We purposely rearranged our schedule to be able to meet with JESUS and I had to recontact A & S Tree Service THREE times to get a response to each of our three calls or texts. Best wishes to them. We had a huge possibly 70 foot pine tree fall down after the massive amount of rain that we had and then we had another tree that looked like it was going to fall. I called A &S tree service. They came out the same day to get the one that was fallen, and they came out a few days later to trim, the one that was leaning over they did a great job of cutting and they put all the wood through the shredder machine and took it away.
