I have a residence and the lot is just short of an acre so there's plenty of tree maintenance. Unique Tree service personel arrived on time as committed at 8:00 am. My project consisted of two ash trees, three palms and one Chinese elm tree. The crew began by moving patio furniture and my Bbq - so nothing would be damaged. They even covered several sprinkler valves to avoid being damaged. The crew came equipped with chain saws, heavy machinery and trucks to work efficiently. Several employees worked simultaneously on the three queen palms and the Chinese elm. The two tall ash trees were cut back and trimmed lastly, since they were nearest to the street for chopping and shredding. I was surprised how much debri there was. I requested the wood to be hauled away which was completed. The crew did a superb job cleaning up and even blew all the areas lined with pavers. The owner Carlos also showed up and assisted his crew who were all cordial and friendly. We used Unique Tree Service twice in 2022 with mixed results. The first job involved pruning an enormous 60-year-old Oak tree. Carols and his team did outstanding work! The 2nd job involved pruning 5 other trees. Carlos was unable to supervise; some of the work was disappointing. Cross branches were left in a Mulberry tree (see pictures). And our overgrown loquat tree, which used to have lovely lower branches that provided our family loquats for over 50 years, was probably ruined. I asked them to not cut the lower branches -- it is a fruit tree, after all. Instead they cut all of the lower branches. Only birds will enjoy the loquats for a long time. But for very large trees, like our Oak, I would recommend Unique Tree Service if Carlos is on site to supervise the work. read more

This review is long over due, and I feel bad I haven't written it sooner. So back in July 2020 I had a dying tree that sat on my retaining wall to the point any amount of pressure could cause the wall to fall. I explained to Carlos the owner that someone with experience needs to be on this, he said no problem. A week later Carlos was the one to not only climb the delicate dead tree, but him and his team knocked all 3 trees in about 2 hours. And that was with clean up. And when he didn't have the right stump grinder, he came back a few days later and got it done. The price was fair for the amount of work, I had also gotten 3 bids and he was the cheapest and honesty the best. They even wore mask to keep everyone safe cause of covid. Unique Tree Service just removed my tree and stump today. They were professional, efficient and careful. The tree was leaning toward the house and was about 10 feet from the house and nearby wooden fencing. They took the tree our chunk by chunk protecting my property. They ground up the tree into their truck. They used a stump grinder to finish the removal. They removed all the debris and leaves and raked the area making things presentable. I would hire them again and am thoroughly impressed with them. One thing I would suggest is to notify your next door neighbor to move their car as the stump removal generates a lot of dust. read more

First, I rarely write reviews on Yelp but this company deserves some serious praise. Couldn't be more happy with the service provided by Carlos and the team from Unique Tree Service. These guys are true professionals. We are in the process of remodeling a home and the backyard had numerous towering King and Queen palms, Giant Birds of Paradise plants and ficus trees that needed to be removed. We interviewed several tree services and none of them could match the price or offer the services provided by Unique Tree Service. Most of the companies we interviewed offered to cut down the palm and ficus trees leaving ugly stumps behind but Unique Tree Services was one of the few companies who could actually grind the stumps down and in many cases remove the stumps. You can barely tell where they removed giant palm trees or ficus trees. The removed tree areas are level and ready for planting. Carlos and his crew showed up on time at 7:30am, worked all day, cleaned up for the evening and then finished the job on time the next day. Every employee was very careful not to damage the remaining landscape or hardscape and they used best practices when it came to safety. They hauled away all of the material and let the place looking better than when they arrived. I also had Carlos trim a very, very large Coral Tree in the front yard and he did a fantastic job taking the branches up and creating more space for the tree to thrive. It looks better than ever.
