Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.

He left me a massage on June 30 that he wasn't aware of this and would talk to the boss Tom Fitzpatrick and get this taken care of right away. Yet he saw the pics the day before on email. I have left several messages on the phone and through email almost daily for 3.5 weeks and have gotten no response or resolution. Tom FitzPatrick and his company East Coast Tree are a disreputable company. do not hire them!! I wish I could add pictures here.

They know exactly how to bring trees down efficiently and with no damage. They are easily able to spot where trees should be trimmed / taken down and give you a thorough explanation. No upsell here-- Dan will tell you like it is and will tell you straight out if something needs to be done, if it can wait, or if you don't need to do it. They are super responsive and have a big specialized crew. Their clean up is incredible-- no branches, no twigs, no wood chips are left -- they rake and use the blowers and pick every little thing up. I don't know how you can take 3 huge trees down and leave no mess at all but they do. Finally, the thing that won me over initially was when they responded to us after heavy storms hit the town. This review is long overdue, and I highly recommend County Tree Service…read more I had the guys out to my house last summer to remove a couple trees (both of which were climbs/no crane access) and a huge stump. Last month, I had them back out to remove a large pine tree next to my garage and prune the dead stuff off several other trees. County Tree Service is a family owned and operated business. Joe and, his life-long friend (they've been friends longer than I've been alive), Chucky, along w/Joe's son, Bobby, are friendly, professional, hardworking guys. I actually enjoyed hanging around while they worked, and they didn't seem to mind either. All of their vehicles and equipment are clean & well maintained. Speaking of clean, they do a great job cleaning up the yard when they're done. Some of the other services I got quotes from last year stated that they would not remove excess stump grindings, which is a hassle if you don't have a place to dump them on your property. To top it all off, Joe's pricing is very competitive and he stands by his estimates... the price he quotes is what you pay.
