The food finally arrived and was average quality, nothing special but large portions which was the best thing from the evening out on the patio. We weren't discounted or comp anything from this very unpleasant experience, no visit from manage or apology, nada, more like oh well approach. Being out of province we won't be returning and just sharing our disappointment with the service and consideration we received as guests.

I bought a marinated flank steak that was amazing on the BBQ tonight. They also carry some great sauces, including my favourite Rufus and Teague Blazing Hot sauce. You can buy frozen pies from The Big Apple, which are the best pies around. They have a burger shack inside....sadly I was too early. Some other time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the boss a really good man. This was a great discovery and I will happily drive the 25 km to get there. Very highly recommended.

The waitress knew the menu, and was able to advise us on deserts, etc. I ordered a salad with chicken, and it came with a little cornbread - and the waitress warned me that it had a slight kick... but it wasn't bad. You know what? She was right! I would order this again. Other things on the menu that were enticing: quiche! I can hardly wait to go back and try this! We also ordered an additional side of shoestring fries. I thought my smoked wings and ribs were absolutely delicious! After some seasoning, the shoestring fries were OK. Hot Chicken Wings: Great breading, not too thick. Good fry and a homemade Buffalo sauce?! We were sold. Good amount of heat/vinegar and a hint of sweetness. My partner also got a cheese burger but I was too focused on the poutine to get a bite. Ferg saw our pup and offered him a hotdog! He also gave us free waters and free dessert. He was so kind and we appreciated it. I highly recommend you go to ferg's to grab a bite. He was chatting with us and you could tell he was genuine.
