Came here for a family dinner on a weeknight and overall enjoyed my meal. They had an extensive…read morecocktail and beverage menu, as well as a full menu with a variety of items. The service was great! I ordered a risotto which was good, but not amazing. The asparagus was crunchy and seemed not fully cooked. We sat on the patio but it was loud since it was on a busy street with constant traffic. The outdoor booth was comfortable, although very low down making it hard to reach my food on the table. Overall, this is a great option for a nice meal in Penticton, but could be improved with better seating and higher quality cooking.

Buckle in for a bit of a lengthy review on this one, I have many good things to say about this…read moreplace. We are Americans that live in a somewhat remote area, so we regularly travel to the Penticton area for shopping and amenities that can't be found in our local area. After we completed our errands this afternoon we decided to stop in to The Nest for a round of drinks and appetizers before returning home. We had the pleasure of being served by the owner himself, who is an extremely friendly and polite gentleman. The vibe upon walking in immediately felt casual and welcoming. The owners passion for what he does shines when he speaks about the menu and about the restaurant. He was extremely attentive despite being short staffed this evening, and being it was our first time in he took the time to explain that the restaurant uses only locally sourced ingredients, and makes as much as they can from scratch in house. The drink menu is pretty expansive and is full of many craft cocktails that are not commonly found elsewhere. Being someone who loves a French 75 and a Tom Collins, I was happy to see both. You'll find many specialty flavors of margaritas, gin and tonics, and smoked cocktails all made with locally distilled spirits. Additionally, they have a nice selection of local beer, wine, and cider when available. As far as the food menu, there are few (if any!) other restaurants I can honestly say I would be willing to try every item on the menu, but this is one of them. There is a unique collection of dishes and options for everyone, with entree options varying from red meat, to seafood, to gluten free, to vegetarian. We opted for two of the appetizers, the baked Brie and nuts and the bison carpaccio. Both were exceptional and fresh tasting. The quality of the ingredients used is apparent. This place will have to be one of our go-to spots from now on. The service is enough to keep you coming back, but we are so looking forward to trying everything else the menu has to offer. Highly recommend giving this place a chance if you haven't already!

The crinkle fries have changed to thin ones instead of the fat cut crinkle fries. I'm a tots person, but sadly couldn't get tots because they were out. Possibly this will only be a place we go to when it's milkshake season again. We felt bad for our waitress, as she was the only one managing tables, register, phone, bar, everything. The more people in the restaurant the louder it gets. We try to sit in an area away from others to help reduce the noise. We'll still go, but seasonally.

Great stop to have burgers!…read more Gave it 4 stars because I read a review that said to try their fries. I tried their fries, and they were unremarkable. But I still ate them. My husband had the BLT. Said it tasted homemade which is a compliment! Wait staff was good. Service prompt and friendly. We kept going back and forth to find the place because we were looking for a big sign in the building. Later we saw the signs along the road. If the fries were as good as the burger and BLT, this would have been a 5 star review. I should have tried the jojos instead. My husband had the poppers. Yummy. Formulate your own opinion and try this place. We were passing through on a roadtrip. If we're back again, you can be sure that I'll order the burger, with jojos. Oh... another thing. I read about the air conditioning being too cold in other reviews. I run hot anyway, so it was perfect for me. My husband wore his jacket, if that tells you anything. I would much rather be at a place where it's too cold, than too hot. It was in the 90's outside, so having a burger and a sandwich was a welcome relief.

All delicious and plenty to eat! It took a few minutes for me to be noticed to be escorted to a table. Got up and had to find a menu. When being taken to a table please don't forget to give your guest a menu. Even after the apology and given 2 more menus (one for Brunch and one for drinks), it left a bad taste in my mouth about a first impression of the business. Thankfully, the food was fresh and tasty! We dropped in around 1:00pm and snagged seats on one of their outdoor picnic tables. Our server was friendly but beware, they don't inform you of the automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Nothing on any of their menu's state that either. Super unimpressed because we ended up double tipping. Menu consists of appetizers, hot sandwiches + burgers, cold sandwiches and salads. They also have a brunch menu (weekends only from 9:00am to 1:00pm) and drinks. - Rocking horse caesar ($8.25) - O is a picky drinker but he said it wasn't half bad. - 2x Weezy wings ($12.00) - our group shared one order with a dill dip ($1.00 extra). The wings were not good; dry and almost tasteless. The louisian style hot sauce they coated the wings with was bland. - Seattle fries ($6.00) - found these oversalted. - 4x Pastrami ($15.00) - we opted for the kettle chips (made in-house). A touch of a peppery Cajun note. The pastrami had a good sauce and the cheese complimented the meat. The bread was well buttered and had a crunchy bite to it. - Choreazy ($15.00) - we went with the daily soup (chicken and rice) which was delicious. Homey and comforting, something your mom/grandma would feed you. The chorizo was homemade but flavours were a bit mute. An okay sandwich that we didn't particularly love or hate. Food was decent but can't get over the shady practices. 2.5 stars.

It's small inside so made a reservation . We got there early and got seated quickly. Our server let us know that the patio table finished and paid so when the party left she would seat us outside . We looked at the nenu while waiting for my sib - everything looked really good! The salads were tempting and the burgers/handhelds had a variety of proteins. Our server told us what was out and new items. All I heard was yellowfin tuna with sesame crust and made it one of my choices as a $23 tuna steak burger was a fantastic deal! once everyone was seated we watched the the outdoor party for sign of movement - I think they took 1/2 hr to finally go but our server took our orders already but we got moved. It was so nice out there! ordered drinks and chatted until the food arrived. I ordered the tuna burger with 1/2 fries and salad, hubby ordered the same but with fries, sis ordered the prawn salad and bil had the chicken salad but wanted salmon instead ( he got a lovey filet) . The tuna was crusted and seared and rare inside- a thick piece so the bun got squashed and it had pineapple with teriyaki sauce - luckily the teriyaki sauce was not overpowering at all and i just pulled the pineapple ring out. The green salad was out so had caesar salad - but i should have had the dressed romaine greens as there was a lot of dressing and cheese in bottom of bowl. Fries were thin, crispy and should have just had those instead! The prawn salad had lots of big prawns and i didn't try it but other than the bread on the side, my sister enjoyed it and polished it off. The bil dug into his salmon salad and was happy with the sub and cleaned up his plate. Our server was great - very friendly and attentive. My sister asked for a nonalcoholic drink that was fruity and fizzy and she got that! She had a great sense of humour and took care of us until it was time to leave ( they were closing soon too) I'll come back to try the salad and new menu items?

Our initial order-taking and food came at a decent time but after that, the follow up was really slow. My husband commented he would have had a second beer if the server had actually checked in with us. It also took him a long time to get the bill and pay. Otherwise, my only other complaint was the our table was super sticky.
