I have no idea why people gave this place such a low rating. The food is made fresh and I absolutely fell in love with the behind meat burger. I am not even vegetarian but this burger tastes like real meat. The poutine is perfect. Cheese curds were warm enough to melt into strings but still good to chew! Their fries are perfect to be made into poutine. The staff are super nice. Ritik especially is polite and is helpful. Overall, they answered questions are tried their best to make my experience enjoyable. I love how clean it is in there. It's a small dining area but it's quite cozy, and in the summer, they blast the AC. The area is bright and tidy. Their washrooms are also very clean! Probably one of my fav public washrooms lol. Tried the new limited time masala burger. The patty seems to be a mix of some veggies and potato that is deep fried with a crispy crust. The burger has some mild Indian spice and a very good flavour overall. The piri piri sauce they use packs some decent heat. This A&W is the closest one to my home. It's located inside the Petro-Canada's Neighbours store on the southwest corner of Kennedy Road and Highway 7. Last Thursday, I fasted before getting some bloodwork done. Afterwards, I needed to grab some breakfast. Before the pandemic, I would show up at the lab when it first opened at 9 am. These days, I need to get an appointment and mine was at 10:30 am. I tend to hit McDonald's afterwards, but it was too late to get my beloved sausage and egg McGriddle. Instead, I paid this A&W a visit to satisfy my hunger pangs. It's odd that I have never been here before. I love A&W for sentimental reasons. There was one within walking distance from my apartment in Winnipeg. I'd often get a sausage and egger sandwich after a midnight shift, and eat that for dinner. I sat in the parking lot of my doctor's office, which also has the lab. I pulled out my phone and used the A&W app to place my order. It was my first time using it. I ordered the following items: - Classic bacon and eggs, which comes with toast - Double cheese, double bacon papa burger I ordered breakfast and lunch together. Why not? What's weird with the app is that it tracks how far away you are from the restaurant. When you are five minutes away, your order gets placed. I find that it should have been ten minutes away from the restaurant or some adjustment depending on the traffic flow. At this hour, there weren't too many folks out and about. I also have a lead foot. I arrived at the drive through in roughly three minutes. I let the woman know that I had an order. It was not a surprise that my order was not ready. She asked that I park in front of Neighbours and she'd bring me my food. Cool! My food didn't take long to prepare. She came carrying a plastic bag with my food. I thanked her and drove home. I immediately had the classic bacon and eggs. I got brown toast and my two eggs over-medium. The breakfast at A&W is pretty decent. The toast was lightly buttered and came with strawberry jam. The triangles were toasted perfectly. The fried eggs were just the way that I like them. The bacon was crispy and so good. For lunch, I had the double cheese, double bacon papa burger. It's here for a limited time. I also craved bacon more than usual that day. I got the lettuce wrap version. First, it's messy cutting the carbs. The lettuce was iceberg, so it disintegrates quickly with each bite. I'd rather have romaine or that curly green lettuce that holds up better. Second, iceberg lettuce is bland! The burger patties were tasty. I enjoyed the bacon and cheese with the tomatoes and whatever else was there. Next time, I'll give the gluten-free bun a try. I have had bad gas station experiences for coffee so I was optimistically hoping this was better. I found I was ignored for 10min???? It was a 3 person team racing to fill drive thru orders. I eventually had to just interrupt them and say hello??? Theres no reinforcement on the per person capacity, where their signage says 2 delivery/takeout. They offer the full lineup of foods from your tried and true root beer to the Beyond Meat burger that is outselling many of the markets "real beef" burgers. I had the worst drive-thru experience at this location! All my kids wanted was an order of onion rings & fries on our drive home from swimming classes. I had to ask 3 times for the person to repeat themselves because they were mumbling incoherently with the "mmhhmm, uh huh etc." Didn't give us our total, didn't acknowledge that our order was taken nor any confirmation. I was going to order more, but couldn't be bothered because i knew something would be wrong with the order. We sat at the window for almost 10 min while the person that took our order completely ignored us. He kept taking the orders of people walking in or just standing around. Please please please don't try the beyond meat sausage breakfast sandwich, it will ruin your day for sure. The beyond meat sausage was very dry and it had a taste of veggie smell. It didn't taste like sausage at all ！！ even the English muffin was over toasted. I couldn't force myself to eat one more bite because of the dryness of the fake sausage and the English muffins. We also ordered the beyond meat burger without cheese, the burger was much better than the beyond best sausage breakfast sandwich. At least the burger is not too dry but the beyond meat patty still didn't taste like meat to me. Both of the breakfast sandwich and burger are overpriced​. The breakfast sandwich itself is $6 and the beyond meat burger itself is $7. I would rather go to hero burger or Harvey for a better quality of burger and price. read more

This is the closest A&W to us and it is located inside a Petro Canada Gas Station.  Inside there's a small dining area where people can order and eat there. In addition, you will also have the convenience store that a regular gas station has including drinks, snacks etc.  We went on Free Root Beer day during the weekend, there weren't too many people, the staff was nice and food was served hot which was made to order. I can tell their quality of food is a little better and on the pricier side.  As a bonus we saw Rooty, probably doing a promotion for the Free Root Beer outside and the staff were nice and let us take a picture with him read more

Located at the Petro Canada and Neighbours Coffee, it can be easily overlooked but is definitely a better sit-down and comfort location compared to the Markville Mall food court. I came in specifically to try out the Beyond Burger that launched today in all A&W locations - it's a vegan burger that tastes 100% like real meat. For vegetarians, A&W definitely has a larger selection. Before I talk about the Beyond Burger, the service here is definitely quicker and the kitchen isn't covered with a wall like most locations so you can see how your burgers are made. The Beyond Burger is AMAZING - words cannot justify it. Normally I only eat one burger but this time I ate two and a half. I'm a big fan of veggie burgers, especially those that taste like, well, vegetables. But veggie burgers that taste like meat? No thanks, I'll pass. At least, that's what I used to say. This burger is something totally different - a paradise for vegetarians and a usual for meat eaters. My boyfriend who was a meat eater couldn't tell the difference and the A&W manager there told me they did a blind taste tests a few weeks ago and the difference was unrecognizable. Located in a busy Kennedy and Hwy7 intersection. It is mean to be a convenience location but you will have an hard time if you heading out to the West of Hwy7 or North of Kennedy. The cashier/supervisor greet with smile, that's a plus. We waited a bit over 5 minutes for 2 Teen burger. We decided to eat inside since they are few tables to seat in. However, the tables are dirty. There are peppers and fries left on the table. The floor has stain from the pop drinks, it stick to your shoes if you step on it. I'm not sure who does the maintenance of the seating. Petro or A&W. I would rather take out next time. Food are OK, a bit pricey for $10+ a combo if you pay regular price for it. read more

I went through the drive thru and got their veggie burger and I was not happy at all. I have had so many burgers before but this place seem to be the worst. The burger patty itself was fine but the buns were stale and dry, I had a huge piece of lettuce that was from the core ,and the burger did not have enough sauce. I asked for sweet potato fries as well which was oily and I also asked for chipotle mayo sauce which they did not put in the bag. I have been to this location at least 5 times, as I stop to get gas at the Petro-Can where it is located. The service here is the absolute worst I have ever experienced and that is saying a lot! I order inside (after paying for gas) and usually have to stand at the counter for at least 10 minutes, while employees ignore me, or are not to be found. Today was no different: I went to the counter today, March 10, 2021 at 6:45. No one at the counter. After 5 minutes, someone appeared, but was making food. She spotted me and yelled for a person to come serve. After another 10 minutes, an employee came to the counter and stood there, glaring at me. She said nothing. I said "hello" to her and she remained silent. Her name is LaToya. I ordered and she gave me my coffee and food. Slammed the bag down on the counter and turned her (sizeable) frame away. Word to the wise: avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated very badly for no reason. Customers are treated as annoying, which is odd as they pay the employees' salaries. No customers = no business! As someone who worked her way through school in a store, I get how hard it can be. I am always polite and kind, but LaToya is the meanest, rudest employee I have ever encountered. I contacted Head Office, but let's see if they actually respond. One of my favorite burger joints. They are reasonably cheap and taste better than a Whopper or a Big Mac. They promote their patties to be "antibiotic-free" and "steroid-free" beef. My only gripe with them is that I find their burger a bit more salty than their counterparts. But I guess you can always ask for less seasoning. This place is located inside the Neighbours Gas Station. They also have a drive-thru. Service is quick and efficient. So if you want your burger fix but want to feel more guilt-free compared to the other big fast food chains, and don't want to spend more on a gourmet burger (ex. Five Guys) this is the place to go. Had to try that meatless burger. If i didnt look at it and you didnt tell me it wasnt meat... i probably wouldnt have noticed it wasnt a regular burger. Its A&W so dont expect a gourmet experience, but as fast food goes not bad, not great. With all the toppings the burger gets lost in there so no 'heavy' meat taste. it is well seasoned on par with any cheap burger. Texture wise, it is firm so that helps with the experience. I was heading home from work late at night (11:30pm) and had to fill my car's tank. I then realized that I needed to fill my tank. Fortunately, this Petro Canada has A&W INSIDE, so I ordered a mama burger combo and one for the hubby. The staff are polite and professuonal at this location, and the food was perfect.
