I absolutely love the Taiwanese Fried Chicken here at AiTaiker. They have so many different variation and flavours, really satisfied with their service and food. The fried squid was so darn good, it's out of this world. The deep fry mushroom was also one of our favorites. Conveniently located by markham rd and 16th, a great option around the area. While there are a lot of people picking up orders to go, we'd love to sit inside and enjoy the food fresh. Great snack or dinner choice!

Wow. This is such a good spot. Loved the fried chicken and the street food snacks. Really enjoyed everything. Busy spot too with lots of takeout and walk in customers. Small plaza. Ample parking.

Satiated my Taiwanese fried chicken cravings at @aitaikercanada after our vacation They are famous for their tasty fried chicken but their sides are just as addictive. We had the fried squid tenacles, fried fish sides, the taiwanese fried chicken with seaweed seasoning, and and a popcorn chicken bento...everything was tasty, moist, just lightly battered and not too oily. They are made to order so be prepared to wait a few minutes (promise it will be worth it!) They also have locations in North York, Thornhill, Richmond Hill and Markham, hopefully there is one in your neighborhood! #supportlocal #supportsmallbusiness #aitaikercanada . . .

Had a great experience at this location, we came rather late for food, but we still felt welcomed. Service was quick and friendly. They offer a variety of Taiwanese, fried chicken cutlets, sandwiches, and combos with various sides. Everything is fried to perfection and super tasty. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're craving a quick bite in the area.

Ai Talker Taiwanese have a great selection if you want to have a snack or a full meal. I ordered the New Orleans Chicken Leg Bento Box for $11.99. A perfect portion if you looking for a full meal. The chicken is moist and flavorful. They also have during daily special if you want a quick snack. Monday's special is 3 pieces fried chicken fillet. The batter was light and crispy. 10% discount if you pay cash

I love this place. The food was so tasty I have been craving it ever since. It is also available at very fair prices. The interior, although smaller, was bright and clean, and had nice decor that was very on theme. The owner is friendly and staff provided prompt service.

New Taiwanese snack shop serving fried chicken, bentos, and other fried snacks. We tried the popcorn chicken and fried squid tentacles. Fried fresh and seasoned well. The chicken is an ok portion and I found the squid tentacles to be more worth. The chicken had a lot of uneven sized pieces, leaning on the small side (see picture). Otherwise, everything was hot and crispy. There are maybe 5 tables inside. Happy to have this in the neighborhood and will return to try their other items.

    Clean & cozy interior.

This was our first visit. They have a soft opening right now and everything is 10% off. We tried a bunch of stuff such as the Taiwanese crispy chicken meal which comes with fries and a drink for about $15. The chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper. We also ordered the crispy burger, snack platter for about $20 which comes with a mix of fried fish cakes, fried squid tentacles and popcorn chicken. Everything tasted really good. It was very fresh!!! The store has about 8 tables a couple of them can accommodate up to 4 people. We also tried the crispy wings which were amazing!! The New Orleans wings were okay for me. Overall, we really enjoyed everything and definitely will be back to try the other menu items.

we love the chicken was so juicy and how you get to customize the style and flavours with options like salt & pepper, black pepper, hot chilli, and seaweed. we also tried their deep-fried squid tentacles and squid balls, and they were perfectly seasoned, tender, and fried to perfection!

Convenient since they're available on Uber Eats, and often have BOGO deals. We've tried their fried chicken, New Orleans wings, popcorn chicken and deep fried squid. We've re-ordered their fried chicken and popcorn chicken a few times. Would recommend their deep fried squid too!

I've come here twice now, usually to grab a quick bite or a snack. The first time I tried the chicken they're known for and the second time I ordered their snack box for $20 that included squid, popcorn chicken and fish cake. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the snack box! It was very filling for 2 people and we also ordered their hot mayo. Will definitely be back!

As soon as I was ready to order, I was pleasantly greeted by Mohammed who showed a high degree of professionalism & was so well spoken. I ordered the 4 piece chicken dinner which comes with one side & a biscuit. I asked him on a side recommendation & he recommended Cajun fries, onion rings or coleslaw. I really like that I could pick any side & there was no up charge for certain ones. I chose the coleslaw & added a order of the fries. I was told that it would take 15 minutes & as I waited, I watched him work like a pro. He would ask the kitchen how much longer for certain food/orders then would update the individual. My order was ready around the time he said it would be. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised at the size of each thigh & drumstick (they only serve dark meat). The coleslaw is larger than a typical side at other fried chicken places & there is a good amount of fries. The chicken was tasty! Skin was crunchy and the meat juicy. I did get it spicy but it's still on the mild side for me. The fries was cooked to perfection... crispy and full of Cajun flavor. I really liked the biscuit too. Coleslaw was good but top sweet for my liking. This place has easily hit my list of top fried chicken places!!! Highly recommend.

It's probably best to come here when it's not a Monday or Friday. Sadly, Friday was my only available day, so I spent 1.5 hours to get my driver's licence renewed. Specifically, it was time to get my photo retaken. After It was done, I needed to fetch lunch. It was just after noon. I haven't been to this plaza for a while. The Indian restaurant next door looked like it had shuttered for good, which was sad. My original thought was to hit the bakery. An even better discovery was The Wing Spot between the bakery and Service Ontario. Perfect! I walked in. There was a mom-daughter duo having lunch. I was greeted by the nicest woman. I went with the special that got me a pound of wings, chili onion fries, and pop for $19 before taxes. I got honey garlic wings. She said that I could grab any canned pop from the fridge. I liked the variety. I saw peach, pineapple, and strawberry Crush. What got my attention was blackberry Dr Pepper. I got it. I paid with my credit card. I tapped and was good. I took my can of pop and waited at a table. Ten minutes later, my food was ready. She asked whether I needed cutlery and napkins. I said yes. She put everything in a plastic bag. I thanked her and happily left with my lunch. I put my lunch in an insulated bag. I then drove home, feeling accomplished that I got my driver's licence renewed and had grub to devour. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I loved my honey garlic wings. I'd say that I got more drums than flats. I like them both, so all was great. They were large and meaty. The honey garlic sauce was the perfect amount that coated each wing. So good! I have never had chili onion fries. They were excellent. It had slight heat, but not enough to do any damage. I don't think I can get regular fries. I loved how tasty the onion, chili, green onions, and sauce were on the fries. I loved my blackberry Dr Pepper. It was refreshing and yummy. I wish it came in zero, but it was a nice change. This eatery was a wonderful discovery. I look forward to returning for more wings. This place has over a hundred flavours and the wings are halal. It was crispy but there was a piece of cartilage. The sauce was below average & almost not spicy at all - just sweet & sour. It was lacking something & not just spiciness. Most of my honey butter fries were varying degrees of undercooked inside & they should've been crispier outside. The flavouring was the usual honey butter powder. We went for the lunch special and tried Original, Soy Garlic, and Spicy Butter Chicken, with fries tossed in Honey Butter seasoning for one of the sets. I had no idea what to expect walking in, and was honestly surprised to learn they use air fryers here. Now, taste-wise, let's be real. I've had better fried chicken elsewhere and yes, there are spots that push a bit more in quality. But here's the catch: at this price point, it's rather impossible to complain. Sure, the sauce toss was lazy, and a few bites were a bit on the funky-smelling side, but it all somehow landed within the range of "worth it." Fries were a lot crispier than expected, and so was the batter. Air fried or not, the texture really surprised me. It's weirdly satisfying. Getting into the place was also a bit awkward for a first-timer, but I'll chalk that up to the building's layout, not the restaurant's fault. Overall, it's one of those spots that feels like a random find, and turns out a lot better than you gave it credit for at first. No complaints here, and honestly hope they stick around. I wouldn't mind coming back when craving something easy and affordable that still hits the spot!

After paying and taking a seat, it dawned on me that my order was oddly expensive as it costed me $12 extra to make my sandwich a combo, whereas it costed my buddy only $2.50 to do the same to his. After inquiring about the discrepancy to the worker, she tried to pass it off as something that's in the system. Not willing to take it as it is, I finally got her to get a hold of a manager who over the phone conceded that there is a problem with the prices in the system. In the end, the worker was directed to issue an $8 refund which I accepted without fuss, even though that still equates to $4 to make the combo which is more than $2.50. The way they're running this place is comically inept. Prices aren't clearly posted, the online ordering portal doesn't function, and the food prep time is extremely slow. I really hope they get things together, because the chicken however is actually quite good.

Well, things have changed. Pizza Hut takes up maybe a third of its old building. The other two-thirds is now this Church's chicken joint. I love Church's. Yes, its marketing tends to focus on its fried chicken, chicken tenders, and chicken sandwiches. I love everything. You know what my favourite item is at Church's? It has nothing to do with chicken. It's the honey butter biscuit. This biscuit is delicious. It's fluffy. It has a nice honey butter glaze on top that's crispy, slightly sweet, and perfect. I dropped by Church's first. It was nice seeing seating at this eatery. There were a few folks waiting for their food. I let a couple grab their food before I approached the counter. I saw the biscuits behind the friendly woman who said hi and asked how I was. My mouth was salivating. I felt bad for the pizza that I had ordered. I got three biscuits. I paid with a credit card. I tapped. Done! She grabbed three biscuits and put them in a paper bag. I thanked her and left with my goodies. I hit Pizza Hut before I put all my food in an insulated bag for pizza. I then headed home. I had a honey butter biscuit straight out of the bag. It was still hot. It was so good. Oh, how I have missed how fluffy and yummy this biscuit is! A seasonal item on Church's menu is a sundae that has a biscuit in it. I haven't had it, but I want to make my own at home. Let's see if I can make one before I devour the other two biscuits. I liked visiting this Church's. It is the closest one to my home. I'll be back soon! (92)

A Harvey's angus burger with some onion rings + some Church's bone-in chicken with some of their biscuits. THAT WAS IT FOLKS. So sad that the joint venture doesn't exist anymore. While their signature chicken is good, my claim (bold but not controversial) is that the honey butter biscuits are better than their chicken. In fact, I think the biscuits at Church's are the best fast food biscuits in the game right now. Super fluffy and moist on the inside but with the crispy, sweet exterior. Popeye's could never w/ their biscuits. The one thing I think Church's has them beat on is the biscuits. I've also tried the jalapeno bombers and they're just mid imo. But surprisingly, the mashed potatoes w/ gravy was actually not bad! Definitely not beating the gravy over at Mary Brown's though.

It took two people fifteen minutes to make it. - Communication to the customer on how long it would take for my order to be ready wasn't stellar. On Wednesday night, after driving home from Mississauga, I felt like a milkshake. Where should I get one? I remembered that the Boardwalk Fries Burgers Shake location in Scarborough that I had visited months ago offered milkshakes. I also remembered this Boardwalk location in Markham. It used to be South St. Burger. Markham used to have two locations. It now has zero, which is a downer. I came here at nearly 9 pm. There were lots of parking spots. I pulled into one and entered the store. The Boardwalk is a combo store with Lava Grill. There is one entrance for both eateries. I walked in. There was a couple enjoying a meal. I was the only person at the order area, which is shared between the two eateries. It took a while for the man at Boardwalk to come over. He was making burgers. I ordered these items: - Strawberry shake without whipped cream - Dubai chocolate brownie I paid with a credit card. Done. Communication is an issue here. This man continued making burgers and fries. He didn't let me know how long it would take to make my order. I wasn't in a rush, but I didn't know that it would take fifteen minutes for two folks to try and make my milkshake. I did like that the press for the burgers automatically came down on the patties and had a timer. I also watched fries go into hot oil and the basket automatically come up once the fries were done. It was also on a timer. I noticed that burger man got Lava guy to make my shake. They both went into the back. Burger man came back to assemble the burgers. Lava guy was still in the back. My guess was that there was some issue making my shake. Again, I got no communication until Lava guy came out to look at my order and told me it would be two minutes. Um, sure. I didn't believe it. I was right. I decided to sit down. Burger guy had finished making the burgers. He went outside. He came back in. His first communication to me was two fingers up in the area. Two minutes or victory?! Five minutes later, I saw a shake come out from the back. Lava guy was holding it. Lava guy took a box with a brownie and packed it in a paper bag. I got a napkin, a fork, and a spoon. He handed me a pretty strawberry shake and my paper bag. I thanked both guys, more relieved than anything, and left. I got into my car and drove home. Despite the wait and the lack of decent communication, the two items that I had were excellent. The strawberry milkshake was yummy. I loved the strawberry flavour. It was creamy and enjoyable. I had the Dubai chocolate brownie yesterday. It was so good. I loved the crispy bits with pistachio cream and a delectable, moist brownie layer. Yum! I'm thinking that ordering online and coming here to pick up my order would be best. This place seems to take its time because it seems to be on its own time. Boardwalk has happy hour deals at night. I may give it a try next time. Here's hoping that communication is better. (190)
