I was given everything but my burger. The girl serving me was waiting patiently for the girl on the line to make it. Meanwhile, all the other food on our tray was getting cold. She told the line girl she was still waiting for the burger. The line girl kept making other items instead of finishing with our order. Finally, the counter girl asked for the burger again. This time it appeared that the line had tossed out the slip because the counter girl had to read her slip to the other girl so she knew what she had failed to make before closing the ticket. FAIL on the line girl. I ordered a Double Whopper meal with onion rings. The burger did not have the classic Burger King flavour. I remember it distinctly becayse, to be honest, I always found the seasoning a bit to salty. The burger I had today was just void of any nice "flame broiled" taste. The cheese tasted like 100% fake, processed "stuff". Not even close to a real cheddar taste, just fake, chemical filled, yellow stuff. The onion rings I got, instead of fries, were just garbage. There was no firmness to "real onion" inside the coating. It felt like mush, total mush. Other places, like Harveys and A&W, make and serve Onion Rings that have actual rings if onion inside that will pull out at times. These here did not seem to have any part of an onion inside. My son had the 10 piece Chicken Nuggets. I did not eat or taste them so I can't speak about them but I will say though they appeared slightly over done but still acceptable. Hi fries, well they were fries. Plain old fries. Nothing to even speak about let alone write home about. Now our drinks, well, fountain Coke products are fountain Coke products. The mix was fine but the selection offered could be improved like what you find at a Wendy's. It you're ok with listening to the newer stuff that is supposedly "music" and at a louder than usual volume level, you'll enjoy it in here. If you are looking to relax and have a nice meal with "decent" and "understandable" music, this is not the place to come. Overall, I think Burger King better shape up or ship out. Their menu choices, food flavours, and choices have fallen well behind the other fast food offerings out there. Times have changed, and nutritious choices/options are now mainstream. I split a 2-piece with my friend and we were SO FULL even before we finished it. The fish (I think we ordered cod) was flaky and perfectly fried--- each piece was also almost the length of my forearm. The fries were great on their own but they were even better when you add vinegar! Have to mention the hard working staff behind the counter, manager on floor was really stressed but she kept it together! Everyone was super nice and they even gave us a few extra packets of sauce with our order. The menu was gigantic and can get pretty overwhelming but we were pretty happy with our choices!
