My reg nail salon was not being accommodating this weekend, so i decided to give A&Y a try after reading about the gel manicure and pedicure only being 25$. its now 28$ - still a great deal! I wandered in on a Sunday afternoon as a walk in and it was not busy. I was seated immediately. This place is small and no frills(no massage chair during pedi) but the service made up for it! The girls working were extremely friendly and nice. I was in and out in under an hour with a beautiful gel manicure and pedicure. I recommend, and will be back =) They did very nice job read more

This was one of the worst pedicures ever. I've been thinking a lot lately... why do women have such low expectations when it comes to a good mani/ pedi. Let's just be honest here, most of these Asian salons hire new immigrants who don't speak English and have no prior experience. The workers are unlicensed and have been trained to make pretend that they are actually doing something. It seems as long as each toenail is touched with each instrument, even for 2 seconds, then the job is done. Not to mention the lack of simple curtesy to greet your client rather than a " what do you want" Anyways this was a rant but the pedicure was awful. Rushed, uneven nails, sloppy polish, 5 second massage, and in the end she eagerly awaited the $5 tip, which most of these poor women are just expecting regardless of their skill or effort. This place is great, it's affordable and the services are extremely well-given. I've been going to this place for almost a year now and I've never had any inconveniences. They offer all types of nail-care services, and they also offer waxing and facials. I've tried everything with them and I love it, my eyebrows are always great, people ask me where I get them done. && most importantly, the girls that work here are super friendly ! This was my go to place to do brows, because they shape them so well, but because i moved, I didn't feel like walking more than 3 blocks to get them done. I don't know about the nails, because I never got them done here before, but they have pretty cool nail polish. I saw one with butterfly shaped glitter. Freaking. Awesome. read more

This is definitely a no frills kind of place but it's clean and at $16 for a mani/pedi ($28 for a regular pedicure and gel manicure) you can't go wrong. They don't have a great selection of nail polish, gel or otherwise, but there's enough to make it work. It's a a small place so I always call ahead and make an appointment with Betty. I've been going pretty steadily for a while now and I'll continue to do so unless Betty leaves. read more

The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because it isn't a fancy nail salon. It's a small salon with only 3 women working (the same ones). I always go in the morning on a weekday and never had to wait, without an appointment. They are really nice people. Super friendly and doesn't bad mouth customers. They are a super clean salon. Great price but sometimes sloppy. I get gel and toes painted under 30 bucks. They have limited colors and gel is often thick. I don't mind the thinkness but others might. They also use gloves while doing gel so edges might get messy. When that happens I just mention and they will fix it. They are pretty nice nice and quiet and dont talk about people or eachother unless it is an occasional comment. That is why I continue to go to them even though they don't have the best technique. It is pretty relaxing. They changed owners couple of years ago. The people who come here can be strange and the technisions almost play around/flirt with the men sometimes so it can be uncomfortable. My usual place was packed so I decided to give this place a shot. I came in for a spa pedicure and manicure for $28, which is a great deal. I started off with the spa pedicure, which was kind of disappointing. Spa pedicures usually come with a long massage but this one did not. She massaged me for maybe 3 minutes and said it only came with a regular massage. It was hardly a massage actually, there was no pressure applied. The manicure was fine. Overall, I will probably stick with my usual spot because the massage was a deal breaker for me. However, if you're looking for a simple manicure and pedicure, they do a decent polishing job. read more

I've gotten a few gel manicures here in the past since I needed it urgently and it was a location close to my home. It wasn't too bad - your no frills kind of place so there aren't much gel colors to choose from. If I remember correctly, it's $25 for gel manicure. In my most recent visit, I got a gel manicure and pedicure for $31. Let's just say, I won't ever get a pedicure from here again. The technician who worked on me sped through the process and the nails were poorly painted. She removed lint or hair from one of my toenails and it messed up the painting. She proceeded to just fill in the messed up part instead of redoing the whole nail. If I wanted to have messy painted toenails, I would've done it myself - actually would've done a better job myself. I didn't realize she didn't smooth out the polish until I got home because I was in a rush. My manicure was decent but their polish is a little old and clumpy so coats were on the thicker side. read more

The place looked okay, nothing too fancy. The only thing that sold me to go here was the free pedicure with gel nails ($25) and it was close to my boyfriend's place. Super nice staff and they speak Cantonese or English. They had a "perfect match" polish for this and this color did match well. They're under a new management. It's no longer called Juicy. Now their name is A & Y Nail salon. I went on a Saturday and they were busy! There's only three workers and I waited about 20-25 minutes before it was my turn. I opt for the gel mani and pedi for $25. But I wanted a squiggly design on my ring fingers and they charge an extra $3 for each hand. I started my pedi the same time as one of my other friend and the lady that did the clipping and scrubbing rushed thru everything! She started painting my toe nails when my friend on the other side was still being scrubbed by Betty. And we started the same exact time. When it was my turn to do my nails, the lady did a horrible job. She was painting the polish far away from my cuticles ! I kept telling her to paint it closer to the edge and she told me that it's going to start chipping off once my nails start growing. I had gel polish before and everytime I get it done, it looked perfect. As I kept complaining, she told me okay the second layer would be closer. And it was disgusting bc you can clearly tell that the edges were not coated enough. Then onto the ring finger. She tried doing the squiggly lines three times and couldn't get it right! Then she had to ask Betty to do it for her bc she didn't know how to do it. Unfortunately Betty couldn't do it either. I just gave up afterwards and told them nvm. So I would only recommend this place if you want a simple mani and pedi. No designs. With this new management I'm not sure if I would be back. If I do come back, I'll ask for Betty. I absolutely love this place. I came in on a sunday an there was no wait. I recieved a gel manicure and a free pedicure! The total was only 25. It's been over a week and my nails have never looked better. MY gel is on perfectly fine, not a single scratch. Not to mention how beautifully the technican had did my nails. They have never looked this good. My pedicure is still in tact now & not a single chip. I love this place and would def recommend it! read more

LOVE this place! I come during the summer for gel manicures with a side of FREE pedicure($25)! Absolute great value and service. It's a hidden gem, never had I had to wait to get my nails done. All the girls there are super nice and accommodating. When they do the pedicures, I actually get a foot massage out of it and they scrub the feet really well. My gel lasts for 2 weeks and never crack on the sides. Love the staff. read more

Im giving 2 stars because they do GREAT eyebrows. I didnt have time to make it to my usual place, so I went here. I ended up getting a pedicure because it was free with the Gel manicure. My nails looked like crap, the gel was bumpy my nail wasnt smooth. The bumps caused the gel to only stay nice for 4 days. To top it off I got ATHLETES FOOT!. No lie! I had athletes foot once, 13 yrs ago when i was in HS and an actual athlete. I get pedicures at a different place every 6wks, I have a ton of sneakers and Ive never had a problem before.
