I went there for the first time because it was a convenient location with pretty good reviews. The staffs were nice but the quality of work is horrible. I got a gel mani and the polish lifted the very next day. The application was done really poorly as the color was not distributed evenly on to the nail bed and you can definitely feel the "powder cause by filing" underneath the polish. The nail tech did not properly clean my hands before she started putting on the polish. Plus there were some gel residue underneath my nails after the application which was just annoying. I contacted them to get a redo which they did offer me. I was quoted by the lady that "the lifting is very normal." But same lifting issue again and a botchy application. One thing to note is that they take off the gel polish pretty harsh. The lady first soak my nails and she file it off. Let's just say that my nails were in pain.

It was recommended to me by my friend because of the great customer service and affordability. The nail technicians are indeed really sweet and take care of you. For gel manicures, the price starts at $20. Usually it's $5 for an extra design on two nails. I really like their selection of colors, though I wish there were more neutrals. My go-to perfect shade is 111, a pink-toned beige/sand color. Their sparkle shades are so beautiful! Definitely check those out when you want a little pizazz on your nails. Definitely make an appointment over walking-in, especially on the weekend. They're pretty popular and I've waited once for 1.5 hours on a Sunday morning until Lucy could take me. I'm not doing that again, so learn from my mistake. You can call usually a day ahead or early on the day of for a spot. This way, they won't rush to fit you in.
I've been frequenting this nail salon for a few years now as it's conveniently located near my best friends house. The ladies are the absolute sweetest, and they remember their regulars no matter how long it's been, but lately the quality seems to be declining both regarding nail work and sanitation. They use to sanitize the tools after every customer, swap out the tray with a different one that's been sitting under the UV disinfectant box or whatever, but now they just wipe it off and toss it back in the drawer. In regard to nail work, my cuticles were barely pushed and cuticle oil wasn't even used before being cut. NAIL POLISHES: They still have a wide variety of regular nail polishes and gel colors. Some of the nail colors that are popular barely have product left or are watered down by acetone. I rarely get regular nail polish nowadays so I'm not sure if they've replaced those older polishes or not. They have been adding to their gel color selection so it's gotten harder for me to choose a color. PAYMENT: Cash only! They used to accept card, but their machine broke (I was there the day it happened-- t'was a sad day). They don't plan on accepting card again so it seems. Fret not if you don't have cash on you, there's a Western Union across the street that has an ATM. Plenty of us ladies have waddled across the street in our pedicure flip flops to withdraw cash. If you have Chase like me, you'll be charged a $2.5 transaction fee. PRICES: for services I've personally had done before 2018 New Set//Acrylic Tips: $23 extra $3 for filing into desired shape) Fill In for Acrylic Tips: $17 (extra $3 for filing into desired shape) Gel Tips: $33 (French design: $38) Gel Mani: $15 Pedicure: $15 (pricier than most but they do turn on the massage chair for you!) Overall, this is my go to salon still because so far they're still fairly reliable and the atmosphere is comfortable. I'd ask for Lucy or Nancy if I were you. As of late, the decline in quality has my eye wandering for better.

I've been going roughly once a month for the past half year now and they continue to surprise me with their expertise!! Many times I've come in having no idea what I want and go along with their recommendation for color, shape, length, everything ... they will take care of you. Prices are A+, $20 for gel mani before tip. Definitely make an appointment ahead of time because they get busy- I usually call early the day of with no problem.
I was highly recommended ftom a friend to give this place a try . Well I want to say Lucy met all my expectations I am extremely picky with any one doing my nails and she listen and knew exactly what I wanted. I'm so so happy I made appointment and had my nails done by her. Place is relaxing clean and friendly. I Highly highly recommend. I definitely will be returning.!!
Walked in on a Saturday's afternoon for a pedicure ($15) and there was no wait. 5 stars for Michelle's services and her choice of color! Definitely will return again
Came by on a weekday afternoon seeing that this place had good reviews and in the area where I was heading towards. The salon is medium size, there's maybe 5 manicure stations and 3 pedicure chairs, if I remember correctly. It seemed a little messy inside and not as clean as I hoped it to be. The service was good, the ladies were friendly. The one who was doing nails had used a nail buffer to file off my old gel mani after soaking them in acetone. However, she filed off the epidermis layer of my skin near my cuticles for several of my nails (I didn't think it was intentional but they still hurt, few days later). My skin has become swollen and I was honestly terrified that I'll get an infection. She was thorough when painting my nails to make sure she had got every part of the nail. After filing, she didn't have me wash my hands so there was a lot of lint and dust particles everywhere. Some eventually got into the layers of the nail polish (I didn't notice until I left). Their UV machine is separate so they only bring it to the tabletop and plug it in when they need it. I'm also unsure if they wash their tools but they do have an autoclave. Pros: - $20 gel manicure - Many gel colors to choose from Cons: - Not quite clean - Aggressive with the nail buffer I honestly wanted to like this nail salon, maybe I'll give them a second chance in the future.
I am so thankful for finding this wonderful nail shop through Yelp! I just moved to New York and have been trying really hard to find a nail shop to call home, I have been so a few other highly rated places near Bay Ridge and they didn't even compare to this place. Lucy did my gel polish on my nails and my toes and she was meticulous, and gentle, and very sweet. This place was very clean and I can tell they really care for there clients. My nails look so beautiful and the are very fair with prices. I can't wait to go back to see Lucy and try some new fun colors!
Got a gel manicure here and was super impressed by their work! My nail technician suggested the color and it turned out super cute. She listened to what I wanted and was really careful. Will definitely be back! The best part is their prices are super reasonable- gel manicure is 20$!
Emily did a very nice jmy acrylics today, she took her time to shaped my nails and make sure they are all at the same length. Highly recommend this place !!!

I have been coming here every three weeks for the past few months for gel manicure. And I always leave content. Any of the nail technicians will do a fine job. Of course, each of them has their own way of doing things, but nevertheless they are all careful and precise. For my latest experience, I had Lucy. With the picture I showed her, a dark blue color with a marble pattern, Lucy noted that they don't have the same dark blue but offered a solution. She layered a black coat first and then a navy blue to pull out the same effect, which in my mind, is pretty brilliant. In addition, one of my nails had chipped off earlier; but, instead of just filing all my nails to match, Lucy offered to attach an acrylic tip to extend it. She went through an extra effort to make sure her work look spectacular, and I highly appreciated it. Michelle is friendly and likes to make conversations. I often ask her to suggest colors, feeling more adventurous when I go to her. It's very refreshing, and I am pleased with the outcome. Unfortunately I haven't had much opportunity with Nancy as she is always busy with customers which says a lot already. I look forward to having her work on my nails one day. Quick tip: Please call in advance to make an appointment or to ask if they're available so they don't need to rush and do sloppy work. They are often busy or completely booked up, since this is a small salon. read more

I got my pedicure done in this place two hours ago, I only ask for pedicure, they charged my $53, and I tipped $12. My families recommend this place to me earlier, and they literally told my this nail place just ask them $35 for pedicure when I get home. Also as you can see from the picture, the nail lady didn't even fis the shape. I just called them asking for an explanation and a refund for extra charge, whoever picked up the phone was rude, then hang up the phone. I tried to call them, but they never pick up again, probably just blocked me. read more
Came here for a walk-in Sunday morning after not being able to go to another salon near by. I wanted to do UV tips but they only do acrylic tips here. I came here anyways since I was desperate, but was pleasantly surprised! Nancy was my technician and she was very detail oriented and shaped/drew designs my nails well. All I gotta say is, call to schedule an appointment and you'll be 100% satisfied. If you do walk ins, they'll honestly rush it. Nancy and Lucy does an amazing job. If you schedule to go in, pedicure ask for Lucy and acrylic nails ask for Nancy. read more

The service was very good and the salon was clean, but I was disappointed with my gel mani. It lasted 2 days before I got a chip on one of my nails and I was not doing anything strenuous to cause it to chip. I went back to get it fixed and they painted a 3rd layer on top of my mani so it looked very thick and gloopy. This fix only lasted another 2 days before it chipped again. Also, the initial color was a light pink but over time, it changed and looked white. While I was satisfied with the service itself, the quality of the nail polish didn't last that long and I feel like it was not worth the $23 I paid. read more

Out of pure laziness, I've started coming here because my usual place was too long of a bus ride away. So instead, I hopped on yelp and found this gem in my neighborhood. I've gone here a couple of times over the past few months and right off the bat, I can say that the best part about this place is the service. The ladies here are so nice and they really care about your experience at their salon. I think a lot of people agree with me which is why there is always a wait when you get here. You should definitely make an appointment or call beforehand if you don't want to wait. I've gotten acrylic tips done by Lucy, who was super sweet as well. I told her what kind of colors I was thinking of getting and she helped me pick the perfect one. They were $23 for a new set plus an additional $3 for getting them rounded (that's not on their pricing list). They looked great but I noticed that the acrylic sat heavily on the nail and my fingertips were quite sore from all the drilling, which was something that I haven't experienced in a while. On top of that, they were more expensive then my usual place and they didn't look as great (maybe I'm just being too picky, though). It wasn't the best set I've gotten but they still looked good nonetheless. I've also gotten a pedicure from Michelle- who was super meticulous and chatted with me the whole time. The best thing about the pedicure was the massage chair (!!!). Let me tell you, I could relax on that thing for the whole day if I had the choice- and I almost did. They let me chill there for almost an hour after my pedicure was over as I waited for my friend to finish her manicure. So if you live in the neighborhood and are looking for a solid place to get your nails done, look no further! This salon has great service and massage chairs- what more could you ask for? read more

Lucy was very nice and did not charge us for the designs. They close at 8 PM but stayed open until 8:30 because they were not done with our nails. The staff were very friendly to talk to. Regular acrylic tips are $30 and designs are $5 for 2 nails. I admit it was a little rushed but that was my fault. Our appointment was at 6 PM for 3 sets of acrylic nails. Nancy was nice and made sure she did my nails the way I wanted it to be. There are some flaws on the sides of the nails but it's not completely noticeable. I suggest you make an appointment because it can get a little busy. read more

I absolutely love this place. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Emily did. great job with my mani/pedi and she even helped me choose the my polish color. I made a few requests and she was very patient with me. She even helped me with my things while I was waiting for my Juno ride home. Overall, I love this place and would definitely come back. read more

I came on a Sunday Morning and there were only 2 other people there I came in and said hello and I just stood there because usually they ask immediately what you're getting right? They didn't so I just proceeded to pick a color instead and finally after picking one, one of the girls came and asked me what I was getting. It was nice you know she was friendly, trying to know exactly what size I wanted, but the only thing is since there were about 4 workers it started getting busy and about 3 people were waiting and I guess the girl that was working on me felt pressured and rushed things my thumb nail came out way shorter than my left thumb nail every other nail were the same size other than that the overall color was really nice. It was $26 for a full set of tips with the almond shape. read more

made an appt for new yrs eve manis for my friend and i. my mani was $8 and my friend paid $20 for her simple gel mani. she was satisfied with the work. on the other hand, i was initially content but my glitter nail polish started chipping off on the edges (near cuticle and tip) on the 2nd day! not sure if its the quality of the polish but i'm not so happy about that. the women there are very nice and friendly. so that is a plus. read more

My experience here: I waited like 40 min on a Thursday evening around 5:30pm but finally got seated with one of the nail techs. I had acrylic on and wanted a soak off but the lady pulled out cuticle clippers and said this way is faster but obviously more damaging to the nail, so I insisted no. She then went to clip a little part off and she's like, see it's easy and fast. Having knowledge of ripping acrylics off, I'm like NO cause I have weak nails already and I peeled them off many times before and it made my nails extremely thin. She finally took a bowl out and filled it with acetone and after soaking them, filing them down, there was still a little bit left on the nail bed. She then did my cuticles (nipped my pointer finger cuticle a little, was bleeding but not too bad), filed to the shape I wanted, and did the gel manicure. Everything else was pretty amazing, the cuticles were done very nicely, gel color was even all over the nails, she did 3 coats for me, massages my hands a bit. The shine from the top coat was so nice, I can't stop staring at my nails! So besides the initial wanting to rip the acrylics off, I had a nice experience and could definitely go back again for gel manicure ($20). Soak off was ($5). Paid a big tip. read more
