Hated my nails . I'm diabetic and don't like getting my cuticles cut and so I mentioned it and she made me feel weird abt it . And then didn't even colour in all the way . Also I didn't love the colour and I asked her 3x to show me a different colour and they are Ofcourse always in a rush even though they charge a good amount of money for it, and I'm like I wanted it darker but she's like with more coats it'll be darker . And then was just pushy about it so I'm like whatever . Never ever going back here . Don't recommend . Lots of good nail places in the area . Will never come here ever again. I can't blv this place is so popular! It ducks the service and people suck I just never want go here ever again I'd rather spend a $100 at any other place than spend $40 here . There's nothing worse than being finally away on vacation after 3 years to then notice by the second day that your pedicure is chipped and looks awful. I knew that wasn't going to be me this time around! I haven't had a spa UV gel pedicure before, and I am THRILLED I gave Eva's a try this past Sunday! Yes, believe the reviews, and yes, believe the hype! Although this place is tight quarters with only three pedicure chairs, coming here as soon as they open is well worth it! I didn't have an appointment, and literally got there as soon as they were lifting open the window gates. They were super nice and asked me to just hangout a few until they opened the place; easy enough to do with the chairs they had places outside - which was a nice touch that not too many places ever consider doing. Mei (her name tag actually reads "May") took care of my UV gel pedicure. She was very gentle and gave a great 10 minute leg massage that was included in the green tea spa pedicure I chose. Another plus, the massage chairs they have ACTUALLY work and are fabulous! They didn't moan and creek like many of the other salons I've gone to; it was so soothing, I almost nodded off! Ahh, the life of a boy mom! They have a HUGE selection of colors for UV, and I picked this pretty trippy rose color (#23) that had an opal effect to it that was activated by a kind of magnet ($5 extra for the effect; well worth it). I was nervous because I'm very picky, but I asked her to do my nails.SHE IS ALSO AMAZING!!! I'm so excited to have found this place and these amazing women. Every design I ask for is done perfectly. Today I requested a more complicated mani. I asked for a gel mani with a specific pattern from their options. lovely work. a little of the topcoat bubbled on a few nails, so I may fix that with my homekit. I didn't know what it might cost to add a pattern to each finger, just that I lusted for it. price for gel mani is $24. price for stickerwork on all 10 nails is $13 total $37 after tax $40.XX plus tip It brought my vision to life and gave me a great fresh nail to go with new hair for a special day. Eva wasn't the one who did my nails today. It was another technician. Eva was checking the sticker work and noticed that I was sweating behind my mask and glasses. I run hot, it's nobody's fault. But she was kind enough to open the door for me so the spring breeze could help. She gave me a new punch card because I lost my old one. Four days later: I love Eva, and her salon is great. Unfortunately, parts of my manicure weren't adhering well and the ends of my nails started splitting/chipping the next day. I've done 3 minor repairs over the last 4 days. It still looks good, but next time I am going out of my way to make an appointment with Eva. I think she understands my weird soft rickets nails with a special intuition. I haven't posted pictures of that one yet, but I will show how great it looked (and the small signs of future trouble) and then the repairs which really have kept it going. I think I've found my new nail spot! I went in for a gel manicure but my nails were so short and I didn't want to do acrylics so the lady offered doing tips with sns gel powder. She was super detailed and such a perfectionist! She reapplied the tips on one finger 3 times because they didn't stick right and she didn't want them to fall off within a week. Most nail salons would not have done this and just let the tips be even if they weren't gluing onto the nail right. The whole process took 2 hours and I love that she was taking her time and not rushing. Maybe one complaint if any was that she was buffing my nails super hard and it kind of cut my cuticles a little but it's no big deal! So happy with the look and colors that they helped me pick out for my nails. It was $35 before tip which I think is a decent price. read more

Was looking for a new nail salon around the area. I used to go to the one at 68st but the previous owner moved to Staten Island and sold their business. I started going to nails lab but I think it's bit too pricey for simple gel nails and feel like they are rushing most of the time. I came across eva's from yelp and decided to give it a try. I did SNS and some nail design (my first time being that fancy and trying SNS). A lot of their customers requested SNS too. My total came up to $66 (not including tips). I have gems stone/designs on 8 fingers, 3 kind of colors for the nails and I added tips (cus I have short nails). I think their price isn't bad and I think it's cheaper than most places. When I first walk in, everyone is very welcoming (some places they would be like whatever). I noticed they have good team work too Sabrina helped me with my nails and she's really patient (and I mean very patient) and very considerate!! She doesn't rush and take her time making sure the nail shape and design is okay. She also sketch out the design for me to see if it's okay. Highly recommend her for fancy nail art. She speak mandarin, understand little Cantonese and able to communicate in basic English. The place have A LOT of nail polish colors (including powder). My cousin got the gel nail. She originally want to get normal polish but the lady recommend gel because they last longer and won't chip easily. I like how they aren't pushy about it and explain it nicely why gel is better. They would tell you the price before hand to see are u okay with it. Some places just do you ask you requested without telling u the price and ended up pretty pricey. read more

I came in asking for a French ombré and they said they could do it so I waited an EXTRA 30 mins for Emily to finish her client. The ombré has such a horrible blend that I decided to just stick with one color... ugliest nails I could have ever gotten and they kept cutting my cuticles and it burns so bad and their top coat kept messing up and wasted even more time Honestly if a worker isn't confident or comfortable in what the customer is asking for then just say so to prevent wasting each other's time and money. I'm super disappointed and this makes me never want to go back to nail salons. You are better off doing your own nails at home. Been going to this salon before Eva took over since it's so close to my house. However, Eva is amazing and really knows how to run a business, which is why their amount of customers have definitely risen. Eva is really friendly and because my mom & I always come to her, she throws in some specials for us here and there, which I really appreciate. That being said, the technicians are all pretty good. In fact, Eva makes sure they're good by listening to her customers. My personal favorite is Emily, she really knows what she's doing and takes her time doing my nails. Came in to remove my gel polish and was greeted by three ladies who tried to pass me off to one another. Finally, the lady closest to the window helped me. She was extremely aggressive filing the top coat of gel and even filed my finger a couple of times. Then she forgot to cover one of my nails in acetone but still proceeded to try to scrape off the gel polish. When it came to scraping off the gel, she kept scraping right into my finger. She asked me afterwards if it looked okay but I couldn't see cause they didn't even provide a place to wash my hands. Just realizing now that there's still some gel on three of my nails. My nails feel too filed down and thin now despite my extremely healthy and strong nails. She even managed to dig into the middle part of two of my nails, now there are cracks. read more

I got the green tea pedicure treatment (smells amazing) and Emily worked on trimming and shaping the nails while I picked a color and design. She's always willing to do my nails in whatever shape or design I ask for. If you show her a picture on your phone, she will 99% of the time give you what you asked for. Eva's Nail Spa which used to be "Nail & Spa" is *insert thumbs down emoji*. As yelp provided the pre-statement for me: "Meh. I've experienced better." and yes!, this is 110% true. This nail salon WAS my last resort if i need to get my nails done due to my schedule and the location is conveniently close to home. There seems to be a big employee turnover problem at this salon. The handful of times i've been to this salon (and the times wasn't that far apart), it's always a new face. A new face that tend to apply extra pressure on my nails when pushing my cuticles back and a new face that tend to viciously yank my cuticles off until my cuticles starts to bleed even after expressing to the technician that my skin is super sensitive and delicate so be extra careful. I am petite so my hands are the size of a 10 year old child. No need to aggressively manhandle my nails. There was never a time that i walked out of this salon without my eczema attacking me twofold for getting a manicure. Since the last time i've been to this salon which was early April, i vowed to never return to this salon and instead just paint my own nails. Given many chances, this salon always left me disappointed. After the experience from this nail salon and other nail salons, i have this fear of getting a manicure/pedicure any where else. read more

Do Not recommend this place. Came here for the first time before their ownership change in 2021 and liked it. Came back with a friend recently because the place we usually get our nails done wasn't opened that day. The Owner Coco was nice to us in the salon and we chatted. We both paid via cash and gave tips with cash. Then we get two phone calls from them that evening from the owner and her son saying we did not pay for two people, claiming that we only paid for one person which is absurd. I explained to them that we paid them and even told them the exact bills we paid with individually and the amount of change we got. Then they called the second time claiming their "security camera" shows we didn't pay. At this point, it's harassment and we are getting annoyed because we never even gave them our phone numbers, let alone call their customers multiple times accusing of nonpayment. I told them to hand the footage to the police if they are stating the truth. The owner then starts apologizing stating its a mix up, etc, and translation issues. Complete BS and scammers.
