Buyers beware. Their so called "clean title" vehicle category is fraudulent! I bid and won a 2018 Toyota Camry from their website that was clearly advertised and contracted as CA clean title with "Normal Wear". I had not received the title after one month, upon calling them I was told by their title department that they need to register the vehicle to their dealership in Florida before they can send me the title as the vehicle currently holds a California title where I live. This was the first red flag and I was starting to get nervous. How were they able to register an out of state vehicle without the vehicle being there is fraud in itself. Surely after a few weeks I received a Florida title registered to their dealership name. Upon attempting to transfer title at my local DMV (after 2 hours in line), the clerk and manager of the branch notified me that they will not be able to transfer it as a clean title reason being the DMV system and NCIB is showing the vehicle as a salvage theft recovered vehicle. They further explained that I would need to go through a very lengthy process of obtaining multiple certifications including a smog check, VIN verification, brake and lamp safety certificate, and a highway patrol safety certificate. I called and e-mailed A better bid to try and get this resolved and they did absolutely nothing! Customer service just told me to e-mail their title department whom a person named Stacy responded and gave me a run around basically telling me there is nothing they can do and that what I am claiming is not possible. I tried calling multiple times and each time they do not answer or their customer service tells me their manager is not available. After another month (highway patrol appointment for safety certificate took one whole month to get) I was finally able to register the car. Another 2 hours at DMV and countless hours plus additional costs for smog, brake lamp certificate, etc.. I now have a very expensive salvage Camry. I won the auction just under the market value for the car which would have been fine if it was as advertised and I was able to obtain the clean title. Unfortunately the car is now worth less than half due to the branded salvage title. Fraud at the highest levels, I have already reported their dealer license to DMV investigations and the NCIB. I strongly urge everyone to stay far away from this manipulative and deceiving business. I am in absolute shock as to how they are still up and running. read more

I bought a car stating '' start and drive'' when I receive the car it was a total scums transmission didn't work. Tried to work with these guys twice now and got very disappointed both times. Buying prosses went ok both times but they will offer shipping for your car and will add price of it automatically to your invoice. Refund prosses, contracts and shipping was absolutely disaster both times. Wrong invoices, incorrect shipping rates and suddenly cancelled shipment got me to loose thousands and caused lots of extra hassle. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I was constantly promised phone calls and emails that were never followed up on. Getting answers on anything, even as simple as shipping lead times was like pulling teeth. I was told the title of the vehicle would be shipped to me via FedEx 2-day shipping. When I checked my tracking number and saw that the estimated arrival time was 5 days later rather than 2, I decided to call down and see what was going on. They took no responsibility for the delay and I was actually forced to pay the difference with FedEx myself. Their English was very poor and when I politely asked to speak to a manager, I was hung up on. Stay clear if you can and save yourself the headache! Those guys are scammers, they charge extra with hidden fees. but one thing is very seriou, i am watching abetter bid auctions 24/7, and i notic, that they STOP AUCTION BEFORE REAL AUCTION STARTS, so in other words, copart is still selling car, but Abetter bid show that the auction is ended, so you cant buy that car or bid no matter that is still for sale, also if you have bookmarked car add next day that car is gone and not for sale anymore, i think they are very corrupted and they selling cars to who they know to make big money illegally. They claim they reply quickly, but after starting multiple different chats with a multitude of customer service representatives I am left with "not seen" for over 2 hours. I have been doing business with A Better Bid for several years now, I have bought 4 vehicles so far with them, but at this point won't be doing any further business with these guys. I have seen all the bad reviews about them stealing money from people but I never had this issue until this week. I placed several bids ending at $475 bid on a BMW X5 at the San Martin CA location at 1:25PM which then went under my current bid saying pending approval. I checked the next morning and it no longer said pending approval and no longer was in my account, I saw that it was posted back on for bidding. I guess it didn't meet reserve. Several hours later, I get a email from ABB stating that I won a Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan. I figured that there is some sort of computer glitch, so I contacted Anastasia with ABB and she stated that there must've been a issue and that she would look into it. I get a call several hours later stating that it looks like I did place a $500 bid on this Oldsmobile which doesn't make any sense. She said I placed a $500 bid on it at the same exact time I placed the bid on the BMW X5 I wanted to purchase. I told her this isn't possible as I only have 1 deposit allowing me to bid on 1 vehicle at a time up to $4000. The BMW auction I was signed into was for San Martin, this supposed van was at the Vallejo CA location. There's no way I was signed into 2 auctions at the same time and placing 2 bids at the same time with 1 deposit, NOT POSSIBLE. First off, Anastatsia was not helpful over the phone, and hung up on me 5 times, (she kept saying bad connection every time I'd ask her a question she couldn't answer). In the end run, I told her I don't want a vehicle I didn't bid on in the first place, she supposedly contacted Copart and states I put 5 bids on this van (she originally told me I bid once). All this stuff just doesn't add up. She tells me I need to buy the vehicle or pay $600!!!!! At this point I am so upset and frustrated because I have given these people my business over and over again paying all their fees and now when there is a computer issue somewhere, they won't even cover the fees on an issue that is not my fault. I told her to look up what auction I was signed into at the time and to show me what times I put offers in on the BMW and she mysteriously says she can't pull up that information......of course not. I can't believe the way she handled this situation and yet I'm paying $600 out of my pocket for an issue that is not my fault. I know how to bid, it's not my first rodeo, you bid on a car, you take the car. I NEVER BID ON THIS VEHICLE NOR WAS I EVEN SIGNED INTO THE VALLEJO LOCATION, I was in San Martin auction. PLEASE READ LONG TIME CUSTOMER...I have been a long time customer of this company when they were called "easy exports" before they changed to abetterbid. Back when they were easy exports the customer serviced was terrible and I had difficulty with them on all sorts of transactions. Since then now the customer service has been great, 180 turn around from years ago. But they are still unwilling to correct mistakes which is why I'm terminating my account First issue was march 2016 they sent my CLEAN Mercedes title to a pervious address and tried to blame me saying my address change hasn't been updated and I should have called them instead of just changing it on the site(which it states to do)....but here the kicker....I bought a malibu 3 weeks before that and the title came to my new address, so how had my address not updated? Basically they messed up and was unwilling to take responsibility for there screw up and I have to get a BONDED title because they couldn't get me another one so they said after giving me the run around for 2 months as I called in and they said there where working on it. Aurel(973-336-8748) was the guys name who was assign to the account, nice guy but lied to me constantly until he finally came out and said they were not getting another title for me. Which brings us to the present, after this I decided to close my account. I have 800 dollars in the account and it shows on there site, they only refunded 400 saying there was some type of error when they switched over to abetterbid from easyexports. They act as if the switch wiped my account clean and I start fresh from the switch, but what about my 400 dollars that was still in that account before the switch? So basically you acknowledge the problem but I suppose to be ok with loosing 400 dollars? So now they will not refund 400 of the 800 hundred in my account. They said they would do a investigation claim on it but have no time frame on how long it would take, the lady I was talking to (Christina) even went as far to say that "they have never done and investigation before so that's why there is no time frame.... I always have to call them to get things done even after I call they will not do whatever they promise to do. I am literally fed up with their customer support I wish I have not dealt with them. I bought a boat and a trailler at A Better Bid on 02/14. I called their customer service badly several times to request the boat documents. The first time I called and the second time I was told I was going to receive the documents in 1 week. I did not receive it, I called again and they told me that I had to send a copy of my driver license (why did not they ask me to do this?) I sent and waited until today to receive the documents of the boat and the trailler.recebi today (03/07) the only boat, trailler tittle I did not receive.I just received the tittle from ANOTHER BOAT !!!!! I called the customer service again.they want me to send the wrong title by mail for when they receive this title, send my title. If you are looking for place that has absolutely No customer service.....you have found that at A Better Bid. My one and only experience included purchasing a vehicle from them. When scheduling my transport company to pick the vehicle up by the location given to me by them...it was not at that location. My driver had to spend another hour driving to another location. I called the company and they informed me that it was my fault for not locating the correct address. When given the pick up location, they had included the wrong address. It was not until my driver was at the wrong location that they realized it was not there. When I called to inquire about their mistake, they took no responsibility. Absolutely no customer service. I tried chatting with the company online...again...no customer service. Way to go company. I can see that you really dont want repeat customers....FYI..thats what every company tries to achieve to succeed. Good luck with your no service approach. Big Thumbs down on this company. read more
