We allowed the sellers to remain in the house for 5 days after the closing date. Our agent from River Valley did not show up to the walk through, nor to the actual closing. Apparently, she overslept. When we arrived to our new home, furniture, trash, food, clothing, bedding, boxes, etc. were everywhere. We don't plan on selling our home in the future, but, if we were to do so, we would never consider using this agency. NEVER.

When confronted the owner she said her contract doesn't state how many time they have to promote or how hard they have to try to sell your house when you sign their contract. I had to do my own videos, pictures, and promoting. The agent didn't have her own business page and was asking me to help her. I had to hold the agents hand for the 116 or so days my house was on the market. The owner of this company said that I shouldn't have had to do that and that her agent should have asked for help or talked to someone but she could not let me out of contract without holding me hostage on the contract only because she had to protect the integrity of her agent. Also, I asked the owner for three simple things. I asked her for effort, proof of effort and I asked her what is she going to do or what is her agent going to do different or that she hasn't done already for the remainder of the contract and the owner of the company said she could not handle those three requirements so she terminated me and said the contract still stick. She then sent me an email saying we were good to go then had her lawyer send an email to refer back to original contract that the owner is holding us hostage to. When I asked the lawyer for clarity because I have the owner saying one thing and the lawyer saying something different. The lawyer just said she's not here to help clarify and to get my own council. Ford Kept $247 of our deposit, they told us that there was a bit of residue in one of the tubs, so they had to clean the entire apartment. The residue is called comet from where we cleaned the tub out... we left the house in significantly better shape than when we found it....Everyone beware, These people will find a way to keep YOUR MONEY! I think just about every breaker switch had to be changed which is a huge fire hazard. My dryer would also over heat (I guess) and get the hallway all wet and everything inside the dryer room wet. So hot it fogged my glasses up. Their are bugs all the time. When called I was asked to just use bug spray. The windowsills suck and I think that's how the bugs get in? The toilet paper and towel holders have fallen off the walls multiple times. They have hardwood floor in the bathrooms so every time you get them wet, you need to dry it up or else your floor will get messed up. Overall, DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT rent from them.
