A Big Ticket Sound Experience was absolutely fantastic! Our DJ (Mark Hardin) was extremely professional, organized, and thoughtful in his approach to DJing our wedding. Our planning and setup were exceptionally smooth, and the experience was awesome. Mark is amazing. I've known Mark personally for 3 or 4 years now, but I've never experienced his DJ skills until this winter. My company was looking for a DJ to keep the party going at our Christmas party. I suggested Mark. Mark really did keep the party going all night, we had fun props (blow up saxophones, and guitars). He also played a lot of interactive games, getting the whole crowd involved. He played great music, took requests and knew what songs were appropriate for a corporate Holiday event. We purchased the platinum package, which included a TON of extras that are well worth a slightly higher price (I won't list the details of the extras since one of his niches is to surprise the bride and groom with them). I can't tell you how many people said "that was the best wedding I've ever been to" (I'm not joking) and I know it was due in large part to Mark. Thank you a million times over to Mark!! He really captained our night and with his direction and quick decision making in times of craziness, our night went off as smoothly as possible. At first I did not want a honeymoon dance, but after sharing his ideas and experience, the dance was so successful that my wife and I were able to enjoy a couples spa day on our honeymoon (we were swept away to a suite in Sonoma at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission in for two nights of pampering, wine tasting, amazing dining experiences and romance). I had people coming up to me throughout the night to compliment us on our MC and his work made me smile as I knew from the moment we met that Mark's personality was perfect for us. His song selection kept the dance floor packed and the smiles flowing :) The trailer produced for us was amazing and had everyone laughing, the slideshow had people smile and cry (good). He really knew how to capture the emotion and read the crowd so perfectly. In addition to this all, we were micro-phoned for our ceremony, my brother and his wife were able to hook up their instruments to his amps for cocktail hour, and he worked the sound and music for our uncle to sing for our first dance. Where do I begin? I first met Mark while I was touring wedding venues in the Sacramento area. Mark approached me, handed me his business card and gave me a brief introduction about his business. When he approached me, I knew I had seen him before, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. So I thought about it some more and I realized Mark was hired for one of my sorority formals. I had a chance after my tour to ask Mark a few questions and let him know what I was looking for in a DJ/MC. I also asked him since he been in the business for many years if he knew of a company for a photobooth. Right away he let me know that he has a variety of packages that offer DJ services, a photobooth, uplighting and more. I was ecstatic. I knew from that first day that Mark was going to be my DJ. Needless to say, I chose the venue that I met Mark at and he was our DJ. We chose the package with the unlimited DJ services, unlimited photobooth and uplighting. That is definitely the way to go. And his price...was unbeatable. Planning stages: In our first face to face meeting, Mark and I discussed his experience, different packages and my ideas and vision for my wedding. Not only was Mark available for any and all of my questions, he always responded quickly as if I was his only bride. He even assisted me with other questions not even related to his business; that meant a lot to me. In fact, whenever I wanted to schedule a meeting, Mark took time out of his busy schedule to set up a meeting for us. One meeting in particular stands out, I was creating the song that I was going to dance with my father and Mark offered me a chance to say a message to my father as the song is playing. I thought what a fabulous idea. By the end of that meeting, I had the song already emailed to me. That is how all of our meetings went, if we had an idea for a song or playlist, he created it and we would walk out with a CD in hand. From the beginning, Mark will let you know that he is available for any questions, concerns, changes, etc. I remember we made changes up to the day of the wedding and Mark made the changes without question. Wedding Day: They always say the thing that can make or break a wedding/reception is the DJ. I totally agree with that statement. I cannot imagine what our day would have been like without Mark. He was attentive to all of our needs. During the reception, I didn't have to worry about a thing. Mark made sure that we stayed on schedule and prompted us from one event to the next. During the speeches, Mark even said kind words about us which was unexpected and definitely appreciated. Mark definitely engaged the crowd with humor and everyone loved him. He played the best music and everyone, I mean everyone was dancing. By the time the last song was played nobody wanted the party to end. I am still getting compliments about the wedding. At the end of the reception, Mark presented us with a photo album of all the pictures from the photobooth and it was completely unexpected. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I received an email from Mark the next day of a video he created of our wedding day. It was amazing.
