I could have spent hours wondering around. The outdoor space is huge and set up with pathways. There were so many surprises throughout not only with their unique statues and sculptures but there was a cage with a giant live peacock who actually spread his tail feathers out while we were watching him. It was incredible! If you're looking for garden statues, you will find something you love. They have everything from animals, gnomes, dinosaurs, aliens, flowers and all types of things. They have benches, gliders and swings that are extremely sturdy made out of hardwood. Very high quality. There is every size planter you can image. They even had wood burning stoves! The plants and trees were fantastic! They had such reasonable prices on trees. We purchased 4 trees 5 years ago from a nursery in Dallas and the trees at Roland's were bigger and at the 2021 price we paid back in the day! You can tell the employees love what they do and rally care about taking care of the plants. Everyone seemed happy and asked us several times if we needed help. If you're in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Roland's is 100% worth the drive.

Working with Victor started out well, then went bad once the actual work began. I gave him my…read morebudget, which was a mistake, but did not receive a contract. He did the bare minimum. His guys did three sections of edging and walkway wrong. When they had to redo they didn't level and it still looks poor. They also entirely covered up the pool drain and wouldn't come dig it up until I proved to them with photos that it existed. This was late fall last year and I asked Victor multiple times if the landscaping and grass would survive the winter. He assured me it would and if not he'd come back and replace what died. At the end of the project he gave an invoice, not a receipt showing I paid, and there were no terms or warranties on this invoice. His group did all of the work for the landscaped bed, they did the edging, all the paper and stone, installed the irrigation, set the duration and frequency for the irrigation. He did everything for the plant's environment and care. Now it's after winter and multiple items didn't make it. After 6 phone calls and 3 emails he finally responded saying there's only a 3 month warranty, so he will not do anything. Even though he never mentioned a 3 month warranty at the beginning and he assured me he'd take care of any issues, he's chosen to avoid me and do nothing. After a $10K project he won't replace some dead plants. I'm hoping he will come around and agree to do what he said, if not my lawyer has helped me to prepare for small claims court. I would strongly recommend against using Victor Ramirez and Big Tex Landscaping. I created a Yelp account just to leave this review for others to be aware. Unfortunately Yelp won't allow for a zero star review.

His messages were dismissive and unprofessional, showing zero accountability. A preventative treatment is meant to cover both interior and exterior for a property of this size, not just half the job.
