Additionally, she makes you FEEL like you are the only bride she is working with, which makes you feel at peace, prioritized, and cared for throughout chaotic wedding planning! Katy doesn't miss a step during timeline creation, last minute changes, or day of the event. In fact, during the day of my wedding, I sent most of my family out of the "hiding room" and felt comfortable when she was in the room because she was alongside me during the wedding planning process and made me feel a sense of ease. THAT is the type of wedding planner you want, especially if the whole "planning process" isn't your thing (like me ;)). Lastly, Katy handled vendor communication incredibly well. From reaching out, to follow ups, to ensuring all vendors were on the same page (especially if they did not respond) which took a layer off of my responsibilities. I opted in for the Day of Coordinator because I had already selected all of my other vendors. I also paid extra to have Coastal Coordinating put out my florals that I created. Chloe was MIA minutes before the ceremony - the venue had to stick me in a random room to avoid being seen by the groom. Chloe or one of her helpers broke one of my pillars (decor) and proceeded to put it in the ceremony instead of informing me or leaving it out - it looked so awful. Half the florals I had arranged for the reception weren't put out despite paying extra for this service - my bridesmaids and I were the ones having to put them out while guests were lining up to enter the space. The owner is VERY unprofessional and never bothered trying to have a conversation with me about my experience. Instead she made up lies as an excuse for providing such poor service. I did not have a single problem with any of my other vendors. Would not recommend Coastal Coordinating.

If I could give the property and the company two different ratings I would…read more The layout of the property; the backyard, the private entrance to the beach, just enough dunes to create a great look - all are perfect. The company who manages it: Sue, Jake and Simon are a different story. Jake makes promises that he can't keep. Sue isn't organized and visible overwhelmed. Didn't work with Simon much, but when we did he backtracked on a lot of his answers to questions. No one could give me a solid answer on lights. Lights were supposedly hung by a licensed electrician. I've never seen a licensed electrician leave power cords with exposed openings hanging on the side of the building. Sue is great for trying to make the property's problem, your problem. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. My clients absolutely LOVED the property which is THE only reason we stayed. If you use this property, please please please, get a day of coordinator to handle the mess of Sue and Simon (Jake has been MIA for months)! Don't rely on them or you may end up with LED backyard lights!

It was a shame to learn a week prior that Sarah, our wedding planner for the past year, would be unable to attend our events. As expected (without the original wedding planner) a few things went wrong along the way. I confronted Sue, the owner, with the issues in writing via email and she made it right with us in the end. We are confident since the company took responsibility we will be able to put the small things behind us in our future memories of our big day with the closure we received. It was a beautiful day on Clearwater Beach and we do have a lot to applaud Sun Coast Wedding for! I just wish it was perfect, but doesn't every bride? :) My advice: read your contract and make sure your original planner will be at your wedding! There were a few things I was promised and/or misunderstood with my original planner. Such as, Sun Coast is not your wedding "coordinators". They are your wedding "planners". Example: If you have things that need to be set up (like personal decor) they are not responsible for setting it up because it is not in the contract. So make sure everything is in writing in the contract, not just agreed upon via email or phone. Congratulations and good luck!

Freaking Covid-19! We even decided to just call it off because of the stress of Covid and the wedding. Everything was a mess, like most people during 2020. Dawn was amazing and supportive through it all. I know she was my wedding planner but I saw her as much more of a friend than just a planner. She talked me through soo much and she couldn't have been more understanding about the cancelation after the multiple delays. When my husband and I finally worked through all of the covid stress and were ready to tie the knot Dawn was our first call. She put together our perfect micro-wedding in a matter of weeks. She had back up plans for her back up plans so that, if anything went wrong, we were covered. We had our dream day and to top it all off Dawn was our officiant! She wrote the perfect ceremony for us and kept it the length we wanted. It was everything we could have ever wanted. We are going to be having a big wedding once it is safe to do so and I can't wait!
