It just makes it that much easier to enjoy very delectable baked goods and drinks when you don't need to go very far. Service is always warm and friendly, and the owner is so kind and helpful. I always like to make my way here because the interior decoration is beautiful with live plants. It definitely gives a serene feel as if you're in a Ghibli film. Every time I come here I just feel so relaxed. 5 stars always and everyone should come visit at least once to sample their goods!

He then went back up the dark stairwell. And believe me... you don't want to follow that staircase. It's dark and steep. He came down with my order and wanted me to talk to Zarina and she had the tone of voice like she was scolding me, or just irritated. It's not worth it to go through that experience again. My friend was saying if she owned the business, she would have come down to meet us.. since it was only us and later another person who came to pick up.

As a side bar I learn Hitomi has a store located in the Marco Polo where other baked items are available for purchase. The store has restricted hours so I've yet to get a schedule to stop in however, it is on my hit list for next time I need special gifts. Her store is located in the Marco Polo condominium on Kapiolani Blvd. A definite must try if you haven't already. The cake runs about $50. But a infamous local pies run about $40. Both good, both in a similar price range but entire different styles of baking and flavor...

Chocolate, Raspberry, and Coconut allergies limited our selection, and the couple really wanted a carrot cake. When we tasted the samples of different cakes the carrot cake stood out as fantastic! When we talked about size and decorations, Kristen was very helpful with her suggestions. My daughter wanted "a Disney princess", her fiance' laughed and Kristen illustrated a very nice compromise. I really wanted to write this review because as I was trying to read reviews online to select a company to make my wedding cake I was feeling super uneasy. The reviews of almost all companies in the area were very mixed and from extreme satisfaction to complete disappointment. I was flying in for my destination wedding so I knew I wouldn't have a tasting and that I'd just have to hope for the best. The first time I saw the cake was at my reception when it was brought out to be cut. My first impression was that it was perfect! It was exactly what we discussed through email and absolutely met my expectations. It was beautiful. Then once it was cut and served I was again so impressed. The cake was so fresh and delicious! My guests loved it and my one bridesmaid said "thanks for serving the first edible wedding cake I've ever eaten!" The feedback I got over and over was that they were impressed that it wasn't just pretty to look at but was also so delicious to eat. They made everything super easy and were all so sweet and took notes on every aspect that I was looking for in my wedding cake. Jack and I eloped to Hawaii while he was there working and we had all of his crew come to celebrate with us so we needed a cake but wanted island flavors, and they hit it out of the park for me! They always were quick to respond to emails, since there is a 6 hour time difference for us, they always had a smile, were so sweet when dealing with this stressed bride lol. We picked up the package and had our tasting together at home. All the flavors were so delicious! From selecting the flavors to designing the cake theme, everything ran so smoothly. For our wedding we ordered a small cake to cut, and the cutest mason jar cakes for guests. My husband and I love their take on "island flavors". When we found out we were pregnant and wanted to have a small gender reveal dinner, we contacted Kristin and once more, she created the most perfect gender reveal cake. Kristin was great to work with! She did a great job with designing the cake exactly how I envisioned it. Our cake looked amazing but we felt that our cake was not tasteful. During the cutting of our cake, my husband and I had a hard time trying to cut through the fondant so we just had a big piece of fondant. When we finally had a chance to bite into the cake we were pretty disappointed about it being so dry and crumbly. By far the easiest vendor to work with. I came to Kristin with some vague ideas and she quickly turned into the perfect design. When asked about cake toppers, my partner and I said we hadn't really thought about it, but maybe we could work pineapples into the design, since it was a common motif in our wedding? The banana Nutella buttercream cake was the star of the show! Moist banana cake layered with rich, creamy Nutella buttercream that wasn't too heavy or overly sweet. Every bite was perfect. Also wanted a brownie, but they sold out when I got to the counter. Might try the preorder system next time, as they sell out of items pretty fast. In terms of flavor, good all around. Cookie was my least favorite, as I don't like a soft cookie. Scone was super moist. I got the scone for my wife, but I was surprised how good it was. Cinnamon roll was also tasty, especially the sauce and topping. The texture of the roll itself was on the firmer side but still good. I don't have any dietary restrictions beyond being an octo-ovo veggie, so this is coming from someone who eats dairy. Prices are on the higher side, but I think that's kind of expected because of the quality. Service was good. Rating? Probably a strong 4, but I'm rounding up because places like this are rare.

Have been wanting to yry them when they were previously located on Lusitana St (extension to Alakea). Now that they are at the beginning of Smith Street, oceanside of Smith and King, its an even more convenient stop. Tried the snickerdoodle cookie and the everything but the gluten bagel. And while the tastes and textures were not to my liking, the fact that they are gluten free is a huge plus. I have enjoyed their made to order cakes before. Would definitely return for that as well as try some of their other offerings.

Cakes were beautiful and were clean. The hello kitty cake was a Red velvet with cream cheese frosting, this was delish,cake was moist and was a hit. The Mario Bros cake was chocolate with butter cream icing, the cake was a bit dry but and the decos were falling before the party started, so now I know not to go with this type is frosting. But the decoration on this one was so nice my son did not want to cut into it. A few days later by the request of coworkers I ordered another cake for a surprise for my commander, all I told Rowena was make the cake into the rank. Everyone at my work were very impressed, it turned out beatiful. The cake was a vanilla cake which btw was perfect with fresh strawberries inbetween the layers. The frosting sweetness was perfect! This cake was gone in just a few mins because everyone wanted more than seconds.

We tried lilikoi cream, guava cream, Madagascar vanilla, and chocolate hazelnut. Let me say, it was a hard choice to make but we ended up picking chocolate hazelnut and lilikoi cream. Both flavors were a hit at the party. Cristi was just amazing to work with. Being able to make a full sheet with 2 flavors and the most beautiful cake decorations inspired by just the invitation.
