Front office staff is unprofessional and rude. Not very friendly. Staff makes visits to office unpleasant. It's sad this business could be so much more. Hours are very limited and professionalism is lacking in all arenas. I will be switching dentist. I've been a patient at this location for over 29 years. my dental hygienist Bri who was a new hygienist to me. I really enjoyed talking with her, and she was very friendly and pleasant to chat with. She was very gentle and took great care of me during the entire cleaning. I especially like the ease with which I can make my next appointment right from the chair with the hygienist. My only negative comment about this practice is that they are not open on Fridays or Saturdays, which makes it very, very difficult for people who work out of town or until 5 PM to get to an appointment read more

Why 4 stars? They are as nice a group as you can be around. --- --- --- I've had a lot of doctors that: 1) Make you wait forever to see them, and... 2) Once they finally arrive in your room, they act like the only thing on their mind is to get out of there as fast as possible. Dental Laser Center couldn't be farther from the norm. Lori and Dr. Gordillo are incredibly patient and caring with you. I don't think anyone looks forward to having their teeth worked on, but they make the experience as pleasant as it can be. read more

I have been going to this dentist for several years, and there is an argument every time I go. I just want my teeth cleaned. That's ALL I want. They always want to take X-Rays. I explain every time that I don't want to be exposed to radiation unless absolutely necessary. I have had X-Rays at the dentist since I was a little kid and they never found a problem unless I told them beforehand that I had a toothache, etc. I have had several people in my family die of cancer and don't feel like I need unnecessary exposure to radiation. This time I had a different hygienist, and the first thing she said was they needed to do X-Rays on all of my teeth. I said no and was getting up to leave when she said "how about we just do bite wing X-Rays?" I said ok, that I was willing to compromise (I had done so in the past). She proceeded to take X-Rays of my whole mouth anyway. I asked her as she was doing it if she was trying to trick me and she said no. After she looked at the X-Rays she said everything was fine except for the broken tooth we already knew I had. So basically I had another set of unnecessary X-Rays, just like I didn't want. Then after she did a good job of cleaning my teeth and tried to tell me I should get a crown on my broken tooth, she had me sit and wait for around 20 minutes to have the dentist come in and tell me I should get a crown on my broken tooth. Only after I said I had to leave did the dentist come in. Then they wanted to charge me $390, including charging for the full set of X-Rays I told her I didn't want and she agreed not to do! Plus $64 for the dentist to look in my mouth and tell me I should get a crown. I explained that the hygienist deceived me and that I wasn't going to pay for the extra X-Rays. They grudgingly took them off my bill, saying "those X-Rays are mandatory, so there was no deception". HUH? These people don't understand customer service. It is my mouth and my teeth. I tell you what I want done, you don't tell me what you are going to do whether I want it or not. Needless to say I would never go back to this dentist again. It is all about padding the bill for them. I am wondering if the Department of Professional Regulation would agree that it is not deception to tell a patient you are not going to do something and then you do it anyway and try to charge the patient for it. read more

beware of the 225.00 special that says you will get xrays, cleaning,plus another free claning in a few months. It is all a bait and switch. they will do xrays and then say that cant do cleaning and you must have a deep cleaning..( per the law I was told HUH). THAT DEEP CLEANING IS GOING TO COST YOU ABOUT 1400.00. AND have to come back again. You leave there only after paying 225.00 and you wont have you teeth cleaned. GOOD OLD BAIT AND SWITCH. I went down the street to another dentist and they were great and had a fair price and went above what I expected and xrays,cleaned, found a cavity and took care of it and when out of there way to treat me fair. I would highly recommend SKYLIGHT DENTAL CARE. 813-530-0091. The dentist is very nice and explains what he is doing and really does care and does it at a fair price. cant say enough good about them. AFTER paying 225.00 for xrays and leaving with any other work being done. called and tried to work something out and was blown off and told I had gotten a good deal..huh. don't think that was the case. don't let a pretty face fool you..please!!!!! I am telling 100% the truth. read more
