On a search for flowers and vegetable plants, I decided to stop by here and check them out. You can…read morefind a variety of flowers, foliage, veggies, and herbs here. (even Datil peppers which is hard to find!) They have all the supplies including pots and soil. The biggest praise I can give this business is their customer service. I was warmly greeted by multiple employees, and a nice lady was very patient with me and all of my questions. Going into a garden store can be intimidating when you don't know where to start, but the staff made everything very easy and even helped me load up my car with all of my goodies.

My wife came by this store a couple weeks back and bought some pots for our cute new family members, but she forgot the saucers for them. I came in today with the intent of buying the saucers and maybe getting a new plant. This place looks great. They have tons of good looking plants, herbs, and shrubs. But with all the feel good green vibes and pretty scenery it was strange how the customer service was so eh. Now, no one was a straight up jerk, but there was something missing. I thought maybe it was just me so I asked my wife after I got home and she had the same experience. She didn't say anything to me about it before. Anyhow, they have an assortment of plants, pots, saucers and supplies. Prices are not cheap compared to other locations I've visited around town. There are people there to ask questions to and check you out, but I found staff at competitors a bit more willing to talk and answer in sentences rather than one word replies.

We had a pleasant experience picking out a Christmas tree here this weekend. I like that you can…read moredrive around the property or walk. I think they said it's about 100 acres in total. There were many trees to choose from ranging from about $40 - $90. They do provide a saw and will put net around the tree for $3. The tree that we picked out was about $80 and taller than me! They said it was maybe 7 years old. They put it in a shaker machine to supposedly get any bugs or loose needles off. They have a range of tree stands for sale too. We grabbed a sturdy one that was about $40 or $50. Nice people - family run business and there really is only one other (remotely near) place up north of Fernandina that has a pick your own tree farm.

Chopping it down and sticking it in some water is not going to help. I was afraid what one would look like if we took it up to the machine that is supposed to shake all the loose needles off and then we'd be stuck with it. Paul talked to a lady that said she bought one from this place last year and within two weeks, it had dropped almost all it's needles. No, thank you! I was really disappointed because I fell in love with idea of cutting down our Christmas Tree but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. We headed on over to our local Home Depot and found a beautiful Fraser Fir (a kind of tree you won't find grown locally anyway).
