I went to A Country Rose Flower Shop, who by the way prides themselves on their website about sympathy , well that is a joke . I walked into the flower shop yesterday , to get my beloved son I had just lost some rose boxes . I waited 5 minutes with an older woman standing there who saw me waiting without even acknowledging my prescence . I said hello , and she looked at me and continued talking socially on her phone , again not acknowledging me . After 10 minutes with grief in hand I walked out . I will never return to A Country Rose Flower Shop again , and I recommend no else does either . Poor customer service, poor attitude by employee. Easy ordering process & on time delivery is the only reason I gave them 2 stars. $100+ once the order was complete. Delivery fee, one time fee for something else, etc. I'm so sad. The flowers were NOT even close to being a $100 bouquet. A few roses and a couple sunflowers, some less expensive flowers and a bunch of green. I want to support local. Be sure to read the fine print on "free" delivery and don't expect a timely delivery unless you live close because anything outside of 8 miles is too far for them to deliver before 7:00 pm. I was charged $40 and it was less than 20 miles. Even a 40 mile round trip in a van doesn't justify such an outrageous charge. And don't think about calling and asking for an update because they never answer the phone and you have to take the time to text them. I would not recommend this business to anyone and I will never use them again. Terrible customer service. read more

I remembered this shop in the really cute building on Horizon but found they had moved just down the street to Horizon and College, behind KFC. I knocked on the door just after closing time and the new owner, Cathy, opened the door, welcomed us in, offered a seat and a glass of fresh lemonade. We chatted a few minutes until she understood what I was looking for. It was a funeral arrangement and what she produced was spectacular. Kind, sympathetic, and very reasonably priced. Her extra effort to make sure that everything was right, delivered on time and moved as necessary from service to church and cemetery was the kind of thing that I would only expect from family or close friends. Unfortunately this was the worst experience I have had with a flower shop. I completed my flower order 3 weeks in advance and realized I put the wrong date down. I emailed multiple times, called everyday, and even texted as that is what the confirmation email said to do in order to get the date changed. I never got a response. Not once. I had to take some time to calm down, but I wanted to express my frustration over the banners that came with the flowers for my mothers funeral. For me, it is not about the money of course, but for $1 a letter I was extremely shocked to see letters stapled on to the banner. I expected to see the letters printed nicely on the banner. These were something I would've love to have kept as a memory, I wanted everything to be perfect for my mom's service and these banners were quite tacky and done unprofessionally. The letters were uneven and they were not aesthetically appealing. There must be 3-4 staples per letter and you can't even touch the banner without getting poked by them. For your future customers, I hope that more time and care is taken in these banners or that at least a detailed description of how the banners are made is given, so the family is aware of what they are paying for and don't have such banners at their loved one's memorial. read more

It's unfortunate that I have to post this review, since they have been my husband's go-to-flower shop from the start of our courtship in 2010. We have recommended them to friends and family, but recently their arrangements have not been of very good quality or design. The recent arrangements have flowers dying the day after delivery. The last delivery, I called and emailed to get it redone and the same thing happened to the second arrangement and still have not heard back from the store regarding the images I sent them of the flowers from the re-done arrangement. Sadly, we will have to find a new florist and contact our family from out of town that use them to send me flowers to remove them and update them with a new florist info. Truly saddened, but seems that the quality and customer service has diminished since 2011. Not sure if the company changed owner but the attention to detail is no longer there. read more
