They said no problem and we scheduled an inspector to meet me at the property. The inspector, with twenty plus years of experience, walked around the basement, took measurements, and then put together three estimates ranging from $40k to $100k. Got the "if you sign now" we will do the job for $34k. I said no, and talked with two other contractors. Both said my problem could be solved by replacing downspouts and concrete repair/grading away from the house. I'm getting the job done for less than $5k. I'd avoid Everdry Waterproofing. --- Too expensive, Over selling, and High pressure.

I hired Giertsen Company to repair my home following water damage. The project began in March 2024…read moreand wasn't completed until October 2024, primarily due to staff shortages. I paid $67,000 for the work--more than the original $65,000 estimate--and received proof of payment from the company. After listing my home for sale, multiple potential buyers contacted Giertsen to inquire about the warranty. To my shock, I was told by my real estate agent that Giertsen informed buyers I had only paid $30,000 and did not hire them for the full repair. This was blatantly false, and as a result, I lost buyers and suffered delays in selling my home. When I emailed Giertsen to clarify, my message was forwarded to the contractor, Patrik, who responded unprofessionally and was upset that I contacted the company--despite the fact that I paid more than the quote and expected transparency. This level of miscommunication, misinformation, and unprofessional behavior is unacceptable, especially from a company dealing with people during stressful times like home damage recovery. I expected integrity and accountability, but unfortunately, my experience has been frustrating and costly.

Josh came out right away to secure a tarp on our roof to prevent further damage. Once our insurance adjuster came out and determined that they would provide us very minimal coverage for the damage, Josh took it to the next level for us. It was a tedious and drawn out process but in the end we were awarded the funds to cover our new roof and our expenses for the damage to our bathroom. Josh was very on the ball and attentive to getting things taken care of for us. He came out and met with us to determine which product we wanted to use for our new roof as well as a tentative start date for the job (obviously weather permitting). When he noticed that an upcoming weekend had some promising weather, he reached out to us to confirm if this would work with our schedule. He arranged for the materials and dumpster to be delivered. On the day of install, his crew showed up and were all very professional. Came at 8am on Saturday morning and were done by noon on Sunday. Excellent site clean up from all of them. The only evidence that they had been there was our new roof and the dumpster full of materials in our driveway. Josh immediately had the dumpster removed from our property as well. Very attentive and accessible during the entire process from start to finish. 5 star rating for this company and Josh from our first encounter until the job was complete.

The plumber fixed the pipe but a mitigation contractor was contacted, by the plumber to deal with the water on the floor. RestoPros was in my home when I returned from work. The lower was rude and impatient. He did not give me a scope of the project. He was also rude to my claim Adjuster. His wife put together the invoices, which were not itemized. It took a long time for their payment, as RestoPros appear to be in the business to submit extremely high invoices, so they can 'negotiate'. I never got in writings the scope of the project. I can to get information from my claim Adjuster. I was threatened by the owner l, and I had to request he never come in my home again. Currently, I am assessing my property that was returned to my home and thre is some damage. I don't know if RestoPros is bonded to cover any cost to some damage furniture.​​ Oh, the threat to place a lien on your home is a tactic the owner has used on several clients. RestoPros has only been in business for less than 2 yrs ( The one that came to my home).
