We discussed a very large front yard undertaking with him. We wanted a "low grass" front yard concept and I explained to him some general flowers and plants I wanted involved. He put an outdoor landscaping "floor plan" together if you will. We talked things through and after some slight adjustments, we moved forward! He was great to organize and plan with. The issue is the timing of all of the plants and when they would be arriving due to the "zone" we are in. On the day of the project he and his team member arrived bright and early, discussed the plan and drawing once again to make sure we were all on the same page and got to work. Ben handled much of the getting rid of the grass and having level and even dirt. We had him bury a pipe regarding our excess water pump so that it was clean and underground and to the sidewalk. Then all of the plants were put into place and everything was covered with mulch. We even had him take out some large bushes that were in the back yard as part of the project while he was here. He was great to work with, had awesome follow up and always explained why something was happening. In his profession there obviously are some weather dependencies, so he was always good about keeping us informed if something had to slightly shift in the schedule.

What I expected would be a two day job turned into a three week project. Nothing was level, plumb, or straight. There were gaps left in the walls and the flower boxes were never finished. Dan became irate and combative. The work that was attempted now needs to be dismantled and rebuilt. The worker that was sent over admitted he had never done this before. He was not trained or supervised and was left to just wing it. I am left with an eye sore of an unfinished project even though we gave him half the money down at the start. I would never hire him again for anything.

Dan and his workers do an OUTSTANDING job delivering quality lawn cutting and landscaping service to our three properties in Oak Creek and Franklin. In addition, their expertise extends to cutting and trimming at Independent Cemetery in Oak Creek, too. Workers cut the grass, haul away debris, trim around the gravestones and do whatever needs to be done for cemetery beautification.. People have noticed, as they drive past the cemetery on Oakwood Road, and have commented about the wonderful way that cemetery now looks and is being cared for; and I always tell them to call Dan at D&B Lawn Service for THEIR lawn cutting and landscaping needs! Just had my yard weeded, trees trimmed, old edging removed, new edging done and mulch put in place. Extremely well done, professional and all employees are very polite. They removed all the debris so my yard looked great when they finished. Dan returned my call for a quote promptly and was very reasonable with pricing. So when she decided to whip some crazy weather…read morethrough the Milwaukee area- cracking branches off of mature trees that landed on the roofs of a couple of my properties- I knew it was time to take some action. Enter in Dennis and Son Tree Service. They called me back promptly- I explained the work that I needed done (defensive action against the trees on one roof- and offensive action toward future Mother Nature outbursts by clearing some trees away from the house at another location) Matt (would this be the son of Dennis and son?) told me he'd have an estimate to me later that same day and true to his word it arrived via fax. The price was right- the timing to have the work done- the next day, and he asked for no deposit or anything even though this was all handled over the phone. Told me just to send him a chieck when the work was complete. Love that! My trees were trimmed, offending branches removed and all the debris hauled away. And even better news is that the roof was not damaged by the tree! You can't always anticipate what Mother Nature is going to dole out. But if she is taking aim at the trees in your yard- give Dennis and Son Tree Service a call.
