A Dancer's Pointe is an exceptional studio here in the High Desert that we happened upon quite by luck. The atmosphere is welcoming. The instructors are both compassionate and professional. The owner is one of a kind, in the best possible way. My daughter absolutely loves it here! We started attending ADP on a whim, when one of my daughter's kindergarten classmates joined, and it has become our home away from home over the past 7 years. Her teachers have all been pretty special, but one in particular that stands out is the owner, Miss Linda, who was also my daughter's instructor at one time. You can tell just by talking to her or watching her with her students that she puts her whole heart into this studio, and our children by extension. My daughter has always been incredibly shy, but with the understanding and guidance she has received at ADP she has slowly built up her confidence over the years. So much so she is even trying out for a dance solo this year, which I never imagined. I can remember a time a few years ago, when my daughter was really struggling emotionally during Covid. As a shy child who normally stays to herself, most people wouldn't have taken notice. Miss Linda noticed. She took the time to pull me aside and ask me if everything was okay. She went out of her way to make my child feel seen, and I know my daughter truly feels loved by her. If you want your child to feel valued while building confidence and a lifelong love of dance, I highly recommend this studio. From Princess Camp to combo classes, friendships formed, dancing down Main Street at Disneyland, Recitals and Nutcracker... so many amazing memories to be made. read more

I'm updating my review as we are now starting our 12th year at ADP. My daughter started with Ms Linda in pre-ballet when she was 3 years old and Ms Linda's gentle but effective approach to teaching the littles caused her love of dance to blossom. Her 5 years of combo classes with Linda helped her develop into a graceful dancer with strong technique and, more importantly, the desire to continue dancing because she truly loved it. Over the years the studio has been a family to all of us and both myself and my daughter have developed our best friendships with other dancers and dance moms. The studio is clean and well run with many different opportunities for dancers to further their dance education, have fun performing and to give back to their community through things like performing for school field trips at VVC, performing for seniors at retirement communities and participating in community events like the Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremonies. The studio always makes my daughter feel special by celebrating things like her birthday with shout outs and her teachers always remember important events and milestones she has. My daughter is a type 1 diabetic and the studio rallied around her when she was diagnosed, makes her feel loved by showing their support on World Diabetes Day and I feel truly comfortable leaving her in their care as they have taken the time to learn her needs and how to handle any emergency she may have. My daughter is now looking forward to earning her 15 year trophy in a few years and I know the foundation of trust and hard work that ADP and all of her teachers have instilled in her will help her reach all of her goals in life. read more

Unfortunately, I do not recommend this location. I will be professional. I have been with this studio for 16 months, now. Mrs.Linda requires 99% of volunteer services for shows and events. She strong-arms parents to volunteer, and if parents don't volunteer, she advises other parent volunteers to put pressure on other parents. This creates a negative impact on parents. Businesses should not force parents to volunteer, especially if it is not documented in the paperwork. This business lacks communication and preparation. Figuring out what is going on in the organization, including meet times, location, uniform, and personnel, is a puzzle. Signing up process is strenuous and puzzling, with an extra lean emphasis on confusion...... wow. I've been overpriced for a couple of years and it was been an uphill battle to regain my money. The selection process to act in the capacity of the favorable character is a biased and favorable selection. The same students get selected even though there is a tryout..... hmmm Mrs. Linda has recommended parents pull their children out of class, (TK-5) grade to attend ballet training because school at that age isn't that important. In my own opinion, and the opinion of the state, an academic education is most important. When an organization states they are going to throw a BBQ and have a water slide for the kids, they should follow through. If it cannot be done at that time, it should not be ignored. There is a lack of logistics or a money-hungry situation. The way that Mrs. Linda handles recital ticket sales is crazy. In 2024, many parents waited in line since 5 am to buy front role tickets, and later that day, Mrs.Linda broadcasted on Facebook (many people don't have FB), that those tickets were voided and to come back the next day for a schedule change. This is unprofessional and unfair. This messes with people's time. As for pre-ballet, it is a waste of money and time. They are not allowed to perform in any events. Additionally, parents pay for 30 minutes of class time, but unfortunately, the I instructors start 5-10 minutes later and lose class 5, 7 minutes before the actual time. That means the customers are getting robbed of time and money. Security aspect: Instructors (Mrs.Sammy and Mrs.Linda) there is no accountability for the release of children under 4 years old. Instructors open the door and let the children leave. Waiting room: Unsafe conditions. The waiting area is approximately 3 1/2 feet by 12 ft. Mrs. Linda allows the room to be so filled that people cannot walk in the area. It is a fire code issue that I will bring up to their attention. I have a video. The outside waiting area is extremely cold, and the outside heeaters are NEVER TURNED on. Hopefully, these issues are addressed. read more

I am writing this review after 6 months of attending this studio. We started off with a summer camp and then signed up for the year round class. I should have taken friends' advice as they dropped during summer class but I pushed through because my child seemed to enjoy it and I thought I could look past the issues. This place severely lacks in communication and information distribution. Nothing is properly planned in advance. It is a chaotic, disorganized, and unstructured studio. Parties are announced last minute with no organization or communication. There seems to be a party every other month at least, which is a huge waste of the tuition fee. The studio constantly posts that parents need to be checking all avenues of social media and email so they can piece together information. Streamlining communication by putting all pertinent information in one place would be a more effective route. The information that actually does make its way to the parents' hands has multiple misspellings and incorrect grammar all over the flyer. It is like a word puzzle you must solve to get to the point of the letter. The phone also went unanswered every time I called over the course of 6 months. Social media seems to be the best point of contact. However, in my experience messages are read but they choose not to respond. Another issue here is the clear cockroach infestation. There are dead roaches inside and out of the studio every week. At first, I chalked it up to it being summer in the desert. But multiple times over the 6 months we attended, my daughter would get out of class and let me know there were dead roaches inside the studio as well. This is where the multiple parties take place, on the floor. The rooms in which you are expected to watch your child from are very small. Due to this, there's rarely any place to sit while your kid practices. There is an option to sit outside in the courtyard but when the choice is between literally rubbing arms with someone who is sick and smells, or freezing in 40° weather outside in the elements, I'd rather just find a new studio altogether. Also, please note that blinds are shut a few months into the year to "surprise" the parents at recital. If you would like to make sure your child is safe and you want a view of them at all times, this is not the studio to choose. The final factor in my decision to pull my daughter from this place is the subliminal bullying towards a Kindergartener that should never have taken place. Among other issues, there were a few in the final month of our experience with this place that really stood out. They refused to spell our last name correctly on receipts no matter how many times I corrected it. They spelled my child's first name on the birthday board with only 2 of the original letters. It was so far off I had to go in and ask if they skipped her completely because the name up there was an entirely different one. I brought this up 3 separate times during the month of her birthday (the names get posted on the 1st) and was told it would be fixed. My final attempt was a message through social media during the last week of her birthday month which was read and ignored. To add insult to injury, they immediately posted "Happy Birthday to *another child*" after it showed they had read my message. A big "eff you" if you ask me and confirmed by anyone that hears this story. My child was also left out of the fun extras like adding a paper to the Thanksgiving turkey with what you are thankful for. Her classmates all had theirs up, but she was given one on the day before break so that by the time it was filled out and returned it would be into the next month and not up on the window anymore. It's not like my child missed a class so she should have also gotten this paper when everyone else did. This all came out of nowhere so I'm not sure what happened to make them single my kid out. The girls are not motivated to be the best they can. If kids weren't doing what they should, it wasn't corrected. Possibly because it is a non competition studio and is treated more like a hobby/babysitting than anything serious. Kids are allowed to mess around in class and my child was distracted multiple times per class. I'm not paying $70/month to have my child poked at and physically grabbed by other girls. She just wanted to learn. If you're considering this studio, I highly advise you to look elsewhere. There are so many other nice, clean, kind, caring studios to choose from. My daughter has learned a valuable life lesson from this place: never stay in a toxic environment, go where you are properly valued and treated with respect. There are a lot of elite dance studios in the high desert and a simple tour during operation would be my best advice before committing to one. This was definitely not the place for us. Please do your due diligence before considering placing your child here. Your child, and your mental health, are worth more than the cheap tuition. read more

A lot of issues I had at this studio, I pushed for my daughter to finish the season. The owner is very unorganized, we were constantly told that we didn't pay. We always had to show receipts/ bank statements. We always found out things last minute. When they practiced for their recital there was a lot of issues and lack of communication. All in all that's why she didn't return to this studio. Also many parents told me they had the same issue. So at least I know it wasn't just me, oh and don't get me started on the cockroaches everywhere. read more

My family has been coming to A Dancer's Pointe for over 15yrs and my daughter has been dancing here for going on 12yrs! We love all the instructors and staff. They are compassionate and love what they do! The atmosphere is welcoming. Miss Linda was my daughters teacher all through her Pre-Ballet and combo years and that is where she fell in love with dance! Now she TA's for Miss Linda and is excited about becoming a student teacher one day! This studio is home to us and we have made many life long friends here! A Dancer's Pointe offers all kinds of dance classes that include ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, pointe, hip hop, polynesian, and tumbling! They also do 3 big productions throughout the year, Princess Camp during the summer, and dance down Main Street in Disneyland! My children continued to get sick with stomach viruses after attending classes here. Once they were well, I would send them back only to have them get sick again after classes. They don't clean the floors. The kids put their hands on the floor, then have random snacks after class. Super gross. Recital fees and costume fees are non refundable. If you prepay those fees in full (we opted out of payment plans ugh), then withdraw your children before the recitals, they do not give a refund or the costume you paid for. They said they would have to see what was left over...I paid for costumes, but whatever. We really don't want to barf anymore, and that's worth a few hundred bucks to me at this point in life. read more

Absolutely terrible. This dance studio is ran by a women named LINDA. Please consider taking your children elsewhere. Personally I wouldn't trust that my children are being treated nicely by her. My niece went here for dance class, and this lady was extremely mean to her. I wanted to get my daughter signed up for some classes, but I wouldn't ever put my daughter in a situation where she will be mistreated. I will keep sharing my niece's experience to fellow moms in the many mom groups I attend, it's important for parents to be informed. n Never underestimate word of mouth, Specially in this town! She will degrade, and shatter your child's confidence. Definition of dragon lady. Not to mention this studio is outdated, and dirty! If your thinking of joining this studio.. Do your child a favor a steer clear of this spot. I think as parents we want to find the safest spot for them. This isn't it!! Run! She replies to all these reviews defending herself of her poor and narcissistic character. Here is a thought.. Perhaps be an actual good person.. Maybe then you wouldn't have any 1 star reviews. I'm sorry to inform you but I had my daughter in this school for the first year and was disappointed. So me and my wife decided to give it one more shot. Wow what a mistake, were watching this Recital and the kids are cute of course but I paid these teachers a lot of money and they had all year to prepare. This is a joke, the teachers aren't Disciplined in there coaching. No excuses I've coached youth football for fourteen years, ages 5 to 18 high school. I won't spend another dollar on this school. My daughter has been dancing here for over ten years and not only is this a wonderful place for her to take dance classes but also place to build a extended family. Everyone is warm and welcoming and the focus is not only on the technical aspects of dance but also on the development of the dancers as well rounded people. There are so many lovely productions, recitals and community involved events for the kids to participate in; recitals, spring productions, performing at nursing homes and the only high desert Nutcracker. People learn fast and slow and A Dancers Pointe makes sure nobody is doing something to hard for them or could get them hurt. We love the teachers and the opportunities they have been given to perform in recitals, parades, tree lighting events and Holiday cheer to the Senior Citizen Homes.
