Dr Tahernia is a godsend. I had my neck surgery done a year ago last September. I can't explain how this man is a miracle worker. He gave me back my mobility, and I'm now living a pain free life. Thank you thank you ! If you need a orthopedic surgeon I recommend this man. He sits with you , explains everything, and is always available. His office staff is courteous, and always gets back to you.

First of all, I'm a retired firefighter paramedic. I worked in a very busy urban city with many…read moremore hospitals and trauma centers then we have here in the desert. I am used to being seen quickly and getting an appointment with a doctor in a reasonable amount of time. I understand it is different here. I have used their emergency room once and was severely misdiagnosed. It turns out I actually had to have back surgery when they kept telling me I was basically making a big deal out of "nothing "and i'm sure they thought I was seeking pain meds. Imagine my surprise when I went to a doctor in the Los Angeles area and he told me what idiots they were in the emergency room. I was scheduled for back surgery right away. As you can see, I still haven't gotten over it lol .So never go to their emergency room. That being said ,the orthopedic center is completely different. I had no problem getting an appointment after my PMD sent a request for an orthopedic to see my knee. I was seen on time and everything was very professional. Dr.Diltz was great. I felt like a fool coming in for what I thought wasn't a big deal, but it turns out it could be. He never talked down to me, never made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about like some doctors do. I have a follow up with him to review my MRI and I am looking forward to it. It's nice to have a Doctor Who listens to you and has some compassion. The only reason I dropped a star was NOT for the doctor. It was just the wait time. I had to wait about a month and a half to get an appointment with the doctor. I'm definitely not used to that, but like I said it's different here in the desert. I highly recommend Dr.Diltz. Also, their MRI staff in their orthopedic center is fabulous. So professional! saw me on time. They were great. Absolutely recommend

I have been seeing him since 2024 for an auto injury, and my experience has been marked by medical record inaccuracies, extreme unprofessionalism, and a severe breach of patient privacy.1. Medical Record Inaccuracies & Medical GaslightingDuring my treatment, Dr. Otarodi insisted he had given me an injection to help my pain. He never administered this shot. When I returned to discuss a shoulder manipulation or surgery, he told me I was not healthy enough to "go under" anesthesia. When I asked about manipulation, he contradicted himself by saying it would work but I would still need to be "under," failing to explain what he meant. When I mentioned that a second-opinion doctor agreed with the manipulation plan, Dr. Otarodi became highly upset. He aggressively insisted he had given me the shot. When I asked him to look at my chart to see his mistake, he became so angry that he walked out of the room.2. Retaliation & HIPAA Privacy ViolationsBecause I lost complete trust in Dr. Otarodi, I asked for my medical records to file a formal complaint and spoke with the office manager to find a new doctor. While I was speaking with the office manager behind closed doors, Dr. Otarodi stormed into the room. He began shouting about my private medical history loudly enough for the office staff and patients in the public waiting area to hear. This is a blatant violation of federal HIPAA privacy laws.3. Attempted Trespass & ConclusionWhen I asked Dr. Otarodi to leave so I could finish transferring my care, he retaliated by ordering the office manager to call the police and have me trespassed from the property. Recognizing his erratic behavior, the office manager repeatedly asked Dr. Otarodi to leave the room instead. He refused to leave until I threatened to call the police myself to report his HIPAA violation.Ultimately, the office manager was very helpful, recognized the issue, and successfully transferred me to a new provider. It was clear during this interaction that the staff themselves are uncomfortable working with this doctor. If you are seeking an accurate medical record, privacy, and professional care, I strongly advise finding a different physician.

On 10/09/2025, I underwent a bursectomy performed through Desert Orthopedic Center at Eisenhower Medical Center. I was discharged after surgery without a splint on my elbow. Within a few weeks, at a follow-up appointment, the physician observed that the surgical wound had reopened. I have photographic documentation of the open wound. I was then informed that I would require a second surgery to close it properly. On 11/10/2025, I underwent a second procedure to repair the wound. This time, I was sent home with a splint. I then endured another full month of recovery, additional medical appointments, additional time off, and additional physical and emotional stress. Despite the fact that this second surgery was necessitated by the failure of the original surgical outcome, I was billed for the second procedure. It is unreasonable and unacceptable to charge a patient a second time for corrective surgery when the initial procedure did not heal properly. In addition to the financial burden, I experienced prolonged pain, inconvenience, extended recovery, and disruption to my life. I am formally requesting a full billing review and appropriate financial resolution for the second surgery and related follow-up care. Patients should not bear the financial consequences of complications that stem from their medical care. I urge both Desert Orthopedic Center and Eisenhower Health to review their post-operative discharge protocols and billing practices to ensure accountability and prevent similar experiences for other patients.

Many doctors don't bother to view their patients as individuals, but rather as routine causes of illness or ailments that are seen day in and day out. Not so with Dr Fayssoux. He walked in with an air of genuine interest in meeting me; and introduced himself as "Reggie". He is conversational as if wanting to assess my personality and understand how I communicate . He has no air of superiority or impatience. He listened intently and didn't simply look at my MRI-he studied it -as if weighing options and not just going after a standard quick fix. He took as much time as I needed; answered all my questions with genuine helpful information and won my confidence within that hour. More importantly his surgery on me went well; when there seemed to be a glitch post op he wasted no time in getting to the root of the cause: treated it and resolved it to perfection. He is kind; and skilled and just an all around nice guy with a professional gift . You will be in excellent hands if you choose him.

So here I am, 5 months later and finally seeing an orthopedic doctor about it. The office staff was extremely nice. However, when Dr. Pooyan came in the treatment room, with a couple students, the floor was his. Not much space in there for me, the patient. He would ask me a question, then interrupt me. A couple times I seriously only got 4 words in. He simply wore me down. He asked if they had X-rays of my hand, which I had hoped he looked at already. But no. He glanced at the X-ray there. Glanced is not an exaggeration. I felt as if I was being cross examined. In the end, he said I probably have arthritis and the trigger isn't bad enough. I was then dismissed. He heard what he wanted and that was it, mind you what he wanted wasn't what I said, or tried to say. Example : He asked if I had shots in my fingers for it and I said yes. Two fingers, two shots. Yet, from then on, he stated I had two shots per finger. There simply wasn't room for or time for me. He simply didn't listen and I finally gave up. I wanted to leave. Obviously, I left with questions. I have no clue how to help it. My copay is high, and I absolutely feel ripped off. Even if he thought he could help, I don't think I'd return. Guess I'm of to Mexico, because it hurts so bad that it wakes me up at night. I've taped two fingers together for over a month now and I feel pathetic.
