My mother lives alone with her dog, smokes and has memory loss. She loves her current caregiver who does a great job and understands my mother's needs. She's very patient with her which is a good thing. Right at Home raised their hourly rates by 50% without providing notice. When visiting the office I was told the notification came out and may have gone to spam. I looked while I was there and found it did go into the spam file which I saved. They were able to assist. What I like about them is the caregiver assigned and the quality of service my mother receives. What I don't like is that they won't provide a contact number for the caregiver for me to contact directly. I also don't like the additional charges such as $80 per quarter for senior oversight as well as $0.75/mile charge for errands.

They send out people on a temporary basis which is not good in my situation. They said they were going to hire someone specifically for my brother, it took about 8 weeks for them to send someone out meanwhile, I am exhausted! They send the woman out and the first day I thought she's great! Over a couple of days she's falling asleep and absolutely, could not wait to put him to bed, she determined he was tired, that's my families job, not hers. I could go on and on. Finally, I was told they would no longer help me. I absolutely could not believe it, I am continuing to struggle finding help. I would not recommend this company.

My close neighbor and friend was over quite a bit during the final week, and she is an talented RN who doesn't put up with any B.S. After Mom passed, she told me, "Jane, that was the worst hospice I've ever seen." I think that sums it up.
