This review reflects my personal experience regarding work performed at my property and my interactions with A+ Fence and its staff between November 18, 2025 and March 9, 2026. The statements contained in this review are accurate and truthful. I have retained documentation supporting the events described below, including text messages, emails, photographs, and video recordings. A+ Fence initially appeared to be a suitable contractor; however, the overall experience involved multiple issues that left me dissatisfied with both the outcome and the process. I selected A+ Fence after researching several companies. Their pricing was mid-range, and they confirmed they could complete my requested scope of work. Unfortunately, issues arose during multiple stages. One issue involved landscaping adjacent to the fence line. I have a large juniper bush near the installation area and requested it be trimmed slightly to allow space for the fence. In my view, the trimming went far beyond what was necessary. Branches well above fence height were cut, leaving the bush sparse. Because juniper branches do not regrow, this requires a new landscaping solution. I retained before-and-after photos. I requested compensation and was offered $300. Additional issues involved the gate installation. I specifically requested a locking mechanism, but it was not installed initially. After the crew left, I contacted the company via email. A follow-up appointment was scheduled, but no one arrived and I was not notified. I later learned the crew had gone to another project, leaving my project incomplete longer than expected. When rescheduled, the crew arrived about three hours late. It was dark and around 30°F in Denver. The latch was installed, but the gate was spray-painted in conditions unsuitable for painting, resulting in an uneven, blotchy finish. An employee gave me spray paint and suggested I complete touch-ups myself, which I declined. I documented the paint condition with photos. I contacted the owner, who returned and repainted certain areas. Afterward, the gate intermittently failed to latch due to misalignment with the post. I recorded video evidence and shared it with the owner. He returned and made adjustments, but the issue soon returned. On January 1, 2026, the owner inspected the gate again. At that moment it latched properly, so he declined further investigation. I explained the intermittent nature and prior adjustments. He stated he believed nothing was wrong and suggested I may have interfered with the gate. I disagreed and requested the root cause be addressed. During this visit, the owner became visibly upset, said he was tired of dealing with me, called me a "spoiled millennial," and told me to "fuck off." When I said I intended to leave a review, he said he would sue me. This interaction was captured on my home security camera. Because of this, I documented the ongoing issue. Throughout January and early February 2026, I recorded 14 videos and took photos showing the misalignment. On January 30, I submitted a warranty repair request via email with documentation. I received no response. On February 6, I followed up by phone and left two voicemails. After no response, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding both the owner's conduct and the lack of response. During the BBB process, the owner did not apologize and again referenced possible legal action if I shared my experience. I ultimately voided the two-year warranty and hired another company to fix the issue, as I no longer had confidence in A+ Fence. I requested $500 to offset repair costs. A+ Fence paid the $500, and the BBB complaint was closed as resolved. Based on my experience, I was dissatisfied with the workmanship, communication, and professionalism. Missed appointments, delays, workmanship concerns, and the final interactions made the process unnecessarily stressful. If making the decision again, I would choose a different company, even at a higher cost. read more

I have been waiting 2+ weeks for an estimate from this company. The estimator said we'd have it the day he came out to see the job. I have sent three emails to the owner and have gotten nothing. The appointment to do the estimate was rescheduled and the estimator was late. I cannot rate their work because I can't even get them to give me an estimate. Unprofessional. Poor communication. Ridiculous. No way to run a business. Update--we finally got our estimate, only after posting negative reviews on Google and Yelp. The estimate was virtually unintelligible and missed half of the work requested. Despite missing a lot of the work we wanted done, the cost was twice as much as a competitor who actually provided a thorough and accurate estimate same day. Needless to say, we are done wasting our time with A+ Fencing. Horrible experience. Would not recommend. read more

From start to finish they were a highly professional and responsive company. We had three companies that gave us estimates and although they were not the cheapest (the difference was marginal), they were the best in every way and gave us by far the best quality. They communicated often and well, and got the job (demo of old fence and replacement of over 200 feet of fencing plus a gate) completed in one day. They were respectful of our property and patient with us as we also had another project happening that they had to work around. We were blown away and will highly recommend. read more

Wish I could recommend this company - while communication with Jackson (owner's son) is great, the materials and work are mediocre at best. I paid over $3800 for 59 ft of vinyl fencing - 4 trips later it is still not worth the price. The owner was surly and rude when he came over to deny the damage they did to my sprinkler head, despite me clearly marking them prior (he did repair it begrudgingly), they changed the directions of my gates without notifying/consulting me thus leaving the decorative hardware facing the backyard rather than the street (despite it clearly stating on THEIR invoice "gates - same direction, no change"), one gate was put on crooked, and left multiple gaps in the fencing panels. I had them fix what was most noticeable and am not satisfied with the finished product but am not willing to have them redo it all; I was told by the installer that the gaps in the vinyl panels was "normal". Spend your money elsewhere, the owner is not pleasant to deal with nor does the job look like the quality, finished product I had hoped for. read more

The company contracts they will use #1 lumber, but on install numerous boards were not. Contacted the owner and he promised to replace them. Had a problem getting a response on when they would be replaced. After contacting BBB and posting here, the owner immediately got back with me and scheduled to come back. He personally came to inspect the fence. I was asking for 12 boards to be replaced. He said he would replace 75, and apologized for the bad batch. He also took time to inspect the fence placement based on my concerns. Turns out the original fence was incorrectly situated, and the new fence was in the right spot. The responsiveness to get it right was great. Communication as to scheduling and response time needs improvement. read more

Nothing but great experiences with James and his team. When I email I receive a response within a day, each time. James built my fence and I referred him to an employee who also used his servoces. I have also referred James to several of my neighbors, so in total, I think 4 or 5 homes on my street alone have fences built by this team. I also used James for landscaping and sprinklers, and will be using him again in the next month or two to complete the fencing for a dog run. Honestly, one of the nicest and most down to earth people (especially a contractor) with whom I have had the pleasure to work with. He may take some time to get out and get the estimate or work done, but understand he does a lot of the work himself and has a very small team serving all over the Denver metro. read more

It's shocking to me that the (ONE) reviewer says how responsive A+ Fencing was, we had quite the opposite experience! They completely no showed our appointment! We needed to get our gate fixed on our fence. My boyfriend called James and set up an appointment to get an estimate. We have a dog that is a runner, so we needed to be home when getting the quote. My boyfriend called James twice, because we also decided to get a quote on power washing and staining if that service was offered as well. (so he had his number in his phone...twice) He had also originally tried to email him, but the email bounced. A+ must be doing VERY VERY well, if they can no show an appointment with no phone call to advise or reschedule. Based on this unprofessionalism, I would never do business with A+ Fencing. We did get our gate fixed this week by a great company who actually showed up when they said they would...imagine that! read more

I can't speak to the fencing quality of this company but the quality of driving by either the owner or one of his employees driving in a company vehicle. He was aggressive, made several illegal lane changes, and nearly got my vehicle. I would use this company with caution. read more
