I worked with Angel for my wedding. I had to postpone multiple times due to covid. She was great to work with. We had a 3 hour initial in person meeting. I'm not the best at describing my vision, I just know what I like and don't like in my head. In those three hours, she patiently and thoroughly showed me images online of flowers in season for our wedding as well as different bouquet styles. After our meeting, we had a challenging year of postponing our wedding 2 times. Each time I reached out to Angel, she was always understanding. On the day of our wedding (finally a year later) I had forgotten what selections I had made. Angel knocked on my bridal suite and OMG!! They were gorgeous. Funerals are difficult. In addition to the emotional turmoil, there are so many things you need to do, some of them at the last minute and in places that are not in your hometown. When a co-worker and friend passed away recently, we wanted to pay tribute to his many decades of service in our company and our industry. What would be more fitting than a semi-truck? I contacted the funeral home and asked them for suggestions. I called the company they referred two times and left a message. Due to the time constraints, I worried when I hadn't received a call back, so I did an online search for florists in the area who do floral sculptures. I didn't find any, but somehow I came across "A Floral Affair." http://www.afloralaffair.com/ I left a message and Angel called me within 30 minutes. I discussed my ideas with her and she jumped in with both feet. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that it was me on the other end of the phone, since she seemed to be completely in tune with my ideas. Within 48 hours she constructed a beautiful flower sculpture that looked exactly the way I envisioned. Her price was reasonable and the service was awesome! The communication was decent but my bridal bouquet was no at all what I ordered and not even 1/2 the size that we had discussed. Several time angel and I spoke about my bouquet, we discussed it was a wrap in bouquet, what color ribbon I wanted my bouquet to be wrapped in and when it arrived it was not a wrap in bouquet, it was a standard hand held and it was not elegantly wrapped like I was lead to believe it would be. When I reached out and asked, her response was "well sorry but we didn't discuss that but I'll talk to my partner and see what we can do for a refund of some kind" after my wedding I reached out again and was told they wouldn't be doing anything because "we didn't discuss it being a wrap in". Bold face lies, I invested the majority of my wedding fund into florals and the cake and they were both screwed up. I would not recommend a floral affair, stay far away! They completely over charged me, mislead me to thinking we were in the same page and refused to accommodate for their mistakes. Worst. Decision Ever, to go with them. read more

A Floral Affair created the bouquets, center piece flowers, and accent flowers for my wedding this past September at Ainsworth House and Gardens. Angel was efficient, fun and easy to work with. My husband and I, along with our wedding coordinator, met with her at her home to go over our vision. I basically told her our color scheme and admitted that although I love flowers, I wasn't entirely sure which ones I wanted for our wedding. She considered our colors, our overall vibe, and the time of year to develop a "floral storyboard", which was so helpful in envisioning what the final product would be like. I honestly don't even know where to start with my review of Angel and her services. We turned to her after our original wedding florist had significant performance issues. With just five weeks to go to our wedding, we called Angel based on great online reviews. She immediately set up a phone consult with us, and that one hour with her was the most informative and productive planning hour that we had with any vendor! Her ability to quickly understand our vision, use her website technology to visually show what she was recommending, and provide a great sense of comfort and professionalism were instrumental in the success of our wedding day. As we neared that day, the temperatures increased to significantly above average and we needed to make a few adjustments to the venue site plan. Angel was super accommodating on that as well and her final plan really maximized the visual impact of the venue. The first few interactions with angel was great, until we met her in person. Maybe because we are an alternative couple, i don't know. After meeting in person her attitude toward us seemed abrasive. She did deliver on time and the flowers looked nice, although Upon delivery she was very rude and some of the flowers were wilted or had been eaten by bugs. Not to mention, we were under the impression that our two $200 center piece arrangements were going to be a lot larger,as she explained. With planning a destination wedding, I was most worried about finding a florist. I knew I wouldn't be able to meet with her to discuss my design ideas or go to her shop. After reading some reviews and talking to Kelly Jo about our budget, I decided to take a leap of faith. We had one phone call and I shared with her my Pinterest board and an email with some pictures and specifics I had in mind. She gave me suggestions as well. Florals were very important to me as they're the main detail that sets the tone for the décor, color palette, etc and the bouquet is in almost every photo!! She was in no way set back by the idea of having to bring all of the flowers and props up a gondola to get to the top of the mountain for our ceremony. She even made suggestions of how to reuse the pieces from the ceremony at the reception to stay within budget. She really just wants the best for her clients! I last minute made a decision to send my mom flowers to her work the day before her birthday. The business was closed so I found their email and messaged her at 7:40 pm telling her all the details I could, hoping I would get my order in on time since I had school in the morning and wouldn't be able to call before 11am. Angel was so accommodating to all of our last minutes changes and was so good with suggesting types of flowers and colors to use! Not having any background knowledge on flowers, her recommendations and advice was wonderful to have! Angel was antagonistic/rude. I was calling from out of town. She asked for recipients' phone number. I told her I could give her my number in case they didn't want their number given out. She said fine but if they are not there, she will charge for another delivery. As I could not get a receipt, I asked her for confirmation that flowers were delivered. Her response, "confirmation is a thank-you card from recipients." I insisted that she let me know, since the recipients were in mourning and may not have time.
