Got a quote we shook hands and his crew was at my property at 7:30am for a work start at 8am. I consider his quote to be fair. The equipment alone a huge bucket truck to reach at least 50' high and a shredder that handled 6 - 8 " limbs probably could handle even larger ones that I had. This crew knew what they were doing. They cut huge limbs off my side.....now it looks clean...I get more sun and so far not the mess it would have created. They cleaned up the site didn't leave a twig! Situation: There was a 3 1/2 to 4-story pine tree in the backyard, sitting on a downward slope towards the house. If it were to fall, then my house would be an inhabitable shack. There was also a tree out front with a hole at the split, clearly diseased and ready to go. Responsiveness: Duane responded within the hour of my Yelp inquiry and was able to come out the. very. next. day!! In-person estimate: Duane took the time to examine both trees, walk the yard perimeter, and even looked at a leaning redwood that was not in scope but leaning towards a power line. He was extremely patient as I asked a million questions since this is my first time taking down a tree that size. Price: Duane was competitive and transparent about his pricing. I had 4 others come out if that helps to put things in perspective. License: When I asked for proof of insurance, he provided them quickly so I can make an informed decision. When they woke up, they were smoking cigarettes and throwing the butts in our street. Left a v-mail at the main number about the butts and got no reply. 2 days later they knocked on our door asking to work on our trees and NO, we do the trees ourselves. No mention of the v-mail concerns. Sad service. No respect for potential customers.
