We had vines growing all over our wires. They removed all the vines and piled them on our trailer so that we could get rid of them. It was a small job for them, but they did it and there are no vines in the trees near the wires. John Doyle and I are very pleased with the work. read more

I had a tree fall down after the storm last week. I called Hand-Shake Tree service at 8:30 AM and by noon my tree was all trimmed up and removed. They even cut some of the branches around it that looked a little bit questionable. I appreciated their prompt and their professional Service. read more

AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!. A Handshake Tree company was working in the yard next to mine. Thery were instructed after a meeting with representative of home owner not to cut down shade trees overhanging my yard. They disregarded the orders and did so anyway!! They then proceeded to cut down a branch that landed on my roof. It was not properly secured. Finally a brand new expensive circular saw with laser was taken from my yard. I have no proof it was the employees of A Hand Shake Tree but there was no one else in the vicinity of the saw. I did not hire this company and they stiil managed to cause many problems! I highly DO NOT recommend this company!!!!! read more

Over the past several years Handshake Tree Service has pruned two very large locust trees in our front yard, and we've always been quite happy with the results. In fact, a neighbor drove by the other day and stopped to ask me the name of the company that trimmed our trees because he wanted to have them do similar work in his yard. We tried a couple of other tree companies at different times, thinking we'd save money, but we went back to Handshake because their expertise is tough to match. They're responsive, professional and efficient. While they're not the cheapest, their prices are more than fair for the quality of work that they do. We'll stick to this company in the future. read more

Removed a crab apple tree and an old stump for us. The whole process from getting a bid to completing the job only took 4 days. It was reasonably priced and John was friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend him highly and will use them again in the future. read more

After receiving three estimates, I chose A Handshake Tree Service because they offered more service at a better price, and because John and Anthony were both so knowledgable. I was completely clueless when I started the process of finding a tree service. I needed the work completed quickly and correctly to appease my home owners insurance. They did the work two days after I called them. They trimmed several small trees, three very large trees overhanging my room, removed two trees, ground four stumps, and provided excellent clean-up. The whole crew was courteous and friendly. John and Anthony both took time to answer all my questions throughout the entire process. I also liked that they were insured and certified. I will be using them again and referring them to friends and family. read more

I called to schedule a visit for an estimate. Linda (office manager) called back 2 weeks later saying someone would be out on a Wednesday. Nobody showed and no call. A week later someone named Dan called and said he could come over in 30 minutes. I liked Dan. He gave me a competitive quote. He said he'd do the work the following week. I asked for the quote in writing along with a copy of their insurance certificate. Nothing happened. A week later I received an apology call from Dan and a promise he'd be out the following Thursday. Again, nothing happened - no quote, no insurance, no show and no calls back. I called their main number and the lady who answered didn't know whether someone named "Dan" even worked there... I'd suggest looking elsewhere unless you have a ton of patience. It's been 6 weeks since I first called them and I'm not even on the schedule. I don't like working this hard to give my money away. read more
