Overpriced, incompetent, they disassembled my bed, and left the hardware strewn all over the floor, used two trucks when one would have worked, there are several items that I no longer have because they didn't bother to load them, had the wrong destination zip code which added 160 miles to the estimate. I was told that it would take 6 hours to load the truck. It took half that time-something else that was most likely effected the estimate. If it hadn't been for my son in law doing the bulk of the unloading, I would have had to purchase a second storage unit. read more

My sister and I needed to move the contents of a 2 bed/2 bath apartment literally from one to another a few units down in the same complex. Other companies we looked at either had terrible reviews or were far too expensive for how short a distance we were moving. We got a reasonable quote from them, and were very pleased with the experience-two movers came with a truck, asked what needed to be moved, and got right to work. Took just over a couple of hours, and they were professional all the way. Will definitely consider this company again if we need to move in the future! read more

I try to give people the benefit of doubt, but I moved in December and used this company. I packed almost everything myself and they made one trip to my new house in Van Buren. They came back for a second load but would not deliver it that day because it was after dark and I live on a dirt road. They delivered the rest of my stuff the next morning, which was, of course, my bed, clothes, towels, etc. I was charged almost $900 for a move from Fort Smith to Van Buren. I do not have a lot of furniture. My aunt, who moved from Bloomer to Van Buren with an apartment full of stuff cost less than half of what I was charged. I do not recommend them at all. read more

Great moving experience. Knowledgeable crew and worked extremely hard through the day.

I called a week in advance and had a move scheduled. Then I called the morning of to confirm the move and received a confirmation call back saying they would be to my location at noon with a call ahead. At 1pm I called to find out an ETA and was told they did not have me on the schedule. They thought I was someone else when I called in the am. In my am message I gave them my name, phone number and the neighborhood name the move was scheduled from. I do not believe the claim that they did not have a record of my scheduled move. Needless to say, I was SOL and there was no one else open to call. They were unapologetic but still wanted my business the following week. Not reliable and unable to recommend them based on their poor customer service. I moved to Fort Smith a few years ago with my company and this was a local move picking up some furniture given to me by a VIP coworker. It reflects poorly on me that I selected an unreliable moving company. read more

Worst moving experience ever!! We have been professionally moved all over the US at least 7 times and never had a nightmare like this! We have a 3-4 bedroom house and have always been moved with a semi, but this time Harris moving used 2 box trucks and crammed all our stuff to get it to fit. In doing so, there is not one piece of furniture that doesn't have scratches, rub marks, missing pieces of wood etc. because they were so crammed together and rubbed on each other for the 7 hour drive. Allen's response is to fix it with a wood touch up pen. He handles his own insurance (vs. an actual insurance company which is normally what is used by professional movers), so don't plan on getting anything covered by insurance because Allen will reject your claim. Even if you find enough to meet your deductible (ours was $500) he'll find a way to get it below that and then just delete your claim. Fortunately I packed everything I could in boxes and NONE of that was broken, just the furniture and bigger pieces that he had access to. He has the WORST customer service and treats his employees horribly! The treadmill repairman who inspected our treadmill (that was ROLLED down a steep grassy, rough hill) said he couldn't believe people like this stayed in business. Yeah, I can't either. Hopefully this warning will help others before their possessions are ruined with no option for repair or replacement. read more

Worst experience moving with these people. They literally complained about moving our stuff, which, correct me if I'm wrong, is their JOB! They wanted to make sure there were no stairs in the house we are moving into, I'm assuming because that would have been too difficult for them. They broke our entertainment center and wouldn't do anything about it because it wasn't made of only solid wood. They were very short tempered with us and rude. Will never use this company again and will make sure to tell everyone I know about our horrible experience. Look elsewhere for help moving! read more

Hired A Harris to move from Poteau to Fort Smith. They damaged some of my furniture, and after repeated attempts to have them do ANYTHING about it, they simply stopped taking my calls or returning them. The calculations of the hours spent moving were also questionable but they did recalculate and get closer to what the actual time was. Would not recommend them at all. read more

Hired A Harris to load, move, and unload a 3 bedroom household. The 3 man crew showed up exactly on time, and walked through for instructions on what was to be moved and what was not. They were extremely polite, careful, and incredibly efficient. A move I expected to take all day was done in 4 hours. Although they were paid by the hour, they worked very hard and efficiently. The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use them again, and recommend to all my friends. read more
