She thrived under the protection of Sue, who as an owner and care giver has more compassion than many nurses I have met.

Matthew and the rest of the Westchester took care of my mom with compassion, care, tolerance and second to none quality. Our family is forever grateful and they are extended family. There are so many wonderful people to mention but I can't recall every single name and there is no slight to names not mentioned. Ms Kendall was like my mom's sister and provided an unparalleled attention to my mother's needs. She operated in numerous capacities and even took over the activity center and was instrumental with intake and along with Matthew guided us every step of the way. Karla and Vangie came along later but were very responsive with any medicine or administrative concerns or needs. Enrique resolved any maintenance issues that needed attention and always did it with a smile. And Heather assisted my mom tremendously through day to day needs and was stern when my mom was being stubborn. There are so many other names but I am very thankful to still be in touch with my Westchester Villa family.

There is 24/7 nursing support and all staff on site, whether direct care or not, are all trained in dementia care. The environment is clean, attractive and comfortable. There are 4 floors and are arranged by residents' needs and cognitive level. My mom seems very content to be amongst her peers, chit chatting, doing activities, going on outings and dining together. I'm so grateful for Silverado and all the staff. It has turned out to be the perfect place for my mom. She is safe, engaged, fits right in amongst her peers and has the support of staff who understand what she is going through. I'm actually not sure what we would have done had it not been for Silverado, and being right here, so close to home.

I felt seen and supported the moment I walked in. The two main reasons that I chose Silverado for my mom are 1) the staff and 2) the Nexus program, which is geared toward high-functioning residents. In addition to providing excellent care for my mom, the Nexus staff also makes time to support me. Everything about the decision to move my mom was difficult, but the one thing I never doubt is that she is getting the best possible care and support. A massive shout-out to Peter, Campbell, Jessica, Eli, Clara, Lourdes, Teresa, Nancy, Noc, Jazmin, Ana, Lana, Laurie, Elizabeth, Doreen, Jean, and all of the staff. And, of course, Honey, the resident bulldog.
