This is a good hotel, it's located in downtown Dover, so it's very close to everything in town…read more There are lots of restaurants and shopping near the hotel. The Hotel Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The hotel decor needs some updating, but overall this was a great stay for the price.

The ice machines don't work The pool doesn't work-not open covered in green slime Elevators are broken And not all rooms have a refrigerator and when asked if one could be brought to our room....wouldn't you know it. The answer was no. When we were checking in we were told "you might want to park your car near your room so you can watch it...we are by the freeway so, you know". I mean. Oh dear god. And the reason I had to stay in this "hotel" ... is due to my, what I like to call, noisy sleeping habits...my son calls it.."mom you better stop snoring or I'm going to smoother you" issues...I had to get a room last minute so my son could sleep to be rested for his lacrosse tournament...blah, blah, blah....and I'm in this room of horrors waiting for Jason Voorhees to knock on my door... He got the better end of the deal while sleeping in a clean, updated, safe room at the Fairfield Inn. What I do for my kids....but I digress..... So, do not stay here...do not volunteer as tribute....do not take one for the team....learn from my mistake. That is all.

It's a free museum, and I wouldn't say to drive hours out of your way to come, but it was fun for about an hour after doing something else nearby. They have a lot of different musical devices to see, but they had one they played for an example which was cool to hear. We talked to two guides since it was empty, and both were clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the products, which made it a much better experience rather than just reading the signs. There are also 2 levels of museum including a whole section on Nipper the dog merchandise over time. They also had a big display vintage ad. So overall this won't take too long to look through, but it was a neat little find, was free, and had people there to answer all my questions. Worth the stop and giving a donation to.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and we were taken on an amazing personal tour. The museum is two stories, with bathrooms in the basement. We spent about 45-60 minutes being shown around and learning about vinyls, record players, and the history of music recording. Some of the large decorated players they have upstairs are beautiful and definitely worth seeing. Admission is free with a donation box at the end. A parking lot is shared with the church next door.
