Lovely people work there and some of the hardest working crew. the price was amazing for the quality of the carpet. it was soft and plush just like i wanted. Hope i don't have to install again for at least 10 years but if i do i will be using them in the future.

Needless to say, I was quite hesitant. I wish I had known that there was absolutely no need to be! Chevaughn was extremely accommodating. His calm demeanor put me at ease. As an overnight shift worker (I sleep during the day) I also very much appreciated that he was prompt in person, via email, and via text. His method of communicating is very clear. Being able to see an official detailed invoice and pay for the services through an app straight from my cell phone was wonderfully convenient. When it came down to the actual job, he clearly explained what he was going to do to be sure I understood and agreed with it. I appreciated the fact that he cleaned as he worked, paying attention to detail. He even voluntarily repaired a few things he noticed but I hadn't requested. I loved the job so much I've already forwarded his contact info to a few friends including a real estate agent (should any of his clients need a contractor for their properties). If I have anymore projects (I'm still contemplating putting up plantation shutters in the future) I will contact him in a heartbeat...... he surpassed my expectations!

When you walk in, be prepared to be ignored. It's like you're invisible. There is large blond woman who is going bald who sits at the front desk, just walk past her because she will never acknowledge you. She will stay on the phone and have personal conversations while you wait. How about make some eye contact or mouth "I'll be with you in a sec". I placed my tile order and went to pay for it and lo and behold the cashier left me standing at the window for a good 10 minutes while she fiddled with trinkets on her desk. Then she slowly wheeled her way over in her chair and took my payment. No greeting, nothing. I get it that this company has a lot of hard to find products but sheesh the employees are a huge turn off. I think I will look elsewhere before I go back there.

The first company told us that the floors were too old & worn and that the only way we could refresh them was to rip out the original floors and replace them with modern panels. We mentioned how sad we were to lose our original floorboards to a friend and they suggested we reach out to Adam at Wood Vitalize. I'm glad we did! Adam came to the house and, immediately after saying hello, got down on his hands and knees to give them a close look. He helped us to pick an option that would protect the floors and give them some new life, without sanding off the character they'd gotten over the last 90 years. He also helped ensure the rose inlay in the original floors wouldn't get destroyed with his process (other flooring companies had told it was unsaveable). Wood Vitalize's quote for the work was reasonable and they even replaced a few floorboards that had gone rotten underneath the radiator without charge (thanks again!). They were able to do all the floors in our 3/2 townhouse in one day (arrived on time, stayed late until it was done). I'm very pleased with their work and owe our friend who referred them a big thank you! So I'm passing it forward. If you've got floors with history and you want to keep them don't let someone talk you into ripping them out until you talk to Adam!

It was very old carpeting so a lot of the cushioning/padding that was underneath was stuck to the floor as well so they made sure all of that was scraped up without damaging the wooden flooring below. I just had to do some mild cleaning the following day to remove dark spots and they gave advice how to get that up. They did a excellent job! They cleaned up everything and took the carpet and scraps downstairs to the recycle area.

I learned later, with other craftsmen, that with correct tools and consideration of my desired outcome, it was not necessary to butcher my floors on their edges. This flooring company tore my floor up. I did try to go cheap so I went with them. I did not know that when we negotiated price, I negotiated away the sealant ti protect floors and allowance to butcher my floors. I was told back/forth 2/3 coats on floor. With/without sealant? Angel said 2 coats sealant. Soon dirt is well in the grains of wood. I know because I can see where a rectifying area was made with the sealant compared to everything that sticks with floor. I have question is it the @Bona #Bona product. My first rodeo. Fixing will cost me an entire 675 sq new floor. It aches my heart. I don't have that kind of money and I wanted a nice outcome. If I had been informed more, I would have work harder to have paid more instead to spend so much more now fix in a few years after I save to do it. Why are workers not honest?!!!! Please inform the consumer the cost of cutting price. I have regrets that will cost me now to redo and seal my floors, and more, if I want to resume my useable sq ftg because you ate it away to close the gaps you butchered. Please do not do this to another customer again. Just be honest even if you don't get the job. I am so hurt.
