In response to Deven's feedback, did not threaten on writing a review - I brought up Yelp saying I found it highly unlikely that they would have high reviews because for them to think we misplaced these speakers is ridiculous. It isn't a small item like jewellery, it is a speaker that is pretty hard to miss. I wasn't yelling, Susan was yelling at me and wouldn't even hear me out. I did no such thing as yell. She was the only person that was yelling on the other end of the phone. The company stated they didn't steal our speaker and yet, the speaker and the charger magically walked off the same day the people came to work. If this speaker came back into our possession, we definitely would have mentioned it, but writing a review 30 days after because this happened right before the holidays and at first A was dealing with them directly and I stepped in because there was a lag on getting this taken care of and it's almost 3 months and the speaker and charger still hasn't reappear. The charger was plugged in the kitchen counter top wall, right where they were working and both items are gone. Not one, but both of them. I advised A, he shouldn't have left a pricey speaker there when they came to do work because him leaving both items for someone to walk away and be able to use it without any issues. He shouldn't have left anything of valuable. It was A's procrastination that he didn't act swiftly on this due to A's demanding job and download the video and show them that they have crooks working for them. If I handled this situation from the start, it wouldn't be the case because I would have done it ASAP. If they sat the crew individually and mention their pay would be deducted, I am pretty sure one of the guys would have snitched on one another. 100% this incident occurred, we worked on the rest of the place ourselves. We only had Exquisite Flooring come on to the property. Like we all know people who has gone to jail that swears up and down they didn't commit the crime and yet you can find their DNA? If these guys know there are no consequences for their actions, why wouldn't they think they can get away with anything under the sun? Paying half of the original price should be offered and not the promotion price, because either way Exquisite Flooring came out winning, because their employees now own a better quality speaker with a charger that will fully works without any battery issue. They got paid for their work and so did the crew who walked away with our property. The customers, which is us is now short of money of $381.05 and paid for thieves to come on to our property to do work. Doesn't seem fair at all and so for Deven to write, "We did not find it fair that you wanted half of the original price when you just stated it was on sale." All Susan does is yell when she speaks to customers, and she constantly interrupts and she was the only person that was angry. I only asked her how does that does seem fair for them to pay half of promo price and not original price of what we paid? She then blew up at me and she was the one threatening me saying, we don't have to pay for this at all and hung up on me. Deven saying "customer satisfaction is our number priority" is a joke and a lie.. Don't even use this as a tagline when you don't even know what it means. Also, they're not going to admit they have crooks on the payroll because as long as they keep denying, the company doesn't lose and their employees know this and they'll just keep stealing without any problems because Exquisite Flooring backs them up. read more

The previous contractor who installed the floating wood floors did a very poor job. After 1.5 years, the planks began to separate in many places creating gaps in the flooring throughout the apartment. There was also a leaking radiator that damaged a few planks. Deven came to look at the job, and was confident that he would be able to fix all areas without issue. And he was right! Within a week, two guys came to install saddles between transitional areas, hammer other planks back in place then nailed/glued them down so separation will not occur again, and to replace the water damaged planks. We hired Exquisite Flooring for a pretty large project - ripping out all our existing, old hardwood, leveling the entire apartment (on the 4th floor of an old brownstone), and putting in new subfloor and hardwood. Deven was the salesperson, and visited our apartment twice over the course of a few months. I enjoyed his visits, and trust grew from his inspection, ideas, and pricing. It was middle of the road pricing - I got some other quotes cheaper and some more expensive. But his I was most comfortable with and I am VERY glad I found them and went with them. Berto was the lead carpenter, and he had a team of three helpers with him. Berto did a phenomenal job with everything. It was quite a large job and they were perfectionists. I saw him redo things a few times until it was perfect. The job took longer time than anticipated and they did not try to upcharge me. I am so happy with the work done by Exquisite Flooring! Deven was on time for the free estimate and very patient in explaining the process and different options to my sister and I. He was also the most reasonable estimate we had gotten and we felt we could trust his work. We decided to go with a water based job and natural stain. 3 others showed up to do the work but they were just as diligent as Deven in explaining along the way what was being done. The entire job was done in 2 days and everyone loves it. Our floors are at least 80 years old and had been covered in carpet for at least 40 years. Susan and Devendra were professional and a pleasure to work with some booking through job completion. They refinished the floors of my one bedroom in Jackson Heights, which took two days. I had red oak flooring that had staining that was a bit red for my taste. Also, my existing floors were nice hardwood floors, but had seen better days and had visible wear and tear and had become black from some kind of damage. The refinishing team stripped the wood down to its natural colors, put on 5 samples for me to pick from, and then re-stained in my pick of special walnut. Incredible work. Floors look new. Tips: evaluate whether your electrical panel can handle a 220 volt, 50 amp plug. In my job, they were unable to do it without tripping the circuit breakers and had to go to a 110 machine. While the team does their best to keep the place clean, the nature of the refinishing beast is that dust gets everywhere after the job is done. The team at Exquisite Flooring really did an incredible job. The Yelp and Google reviews were uniformly superb, but the actual service and finished product didn't disappoint. Susan and Deven were extremely responsive and thorough. Deven gave a knowledgeable and clear opinion on the work that needed to be done - we had some areas of 2 1/4 inch floorboards breaking the pattern of our quite old and worn maple floor. Other companies had suggested replacing significant areas of the floor, but Deven was clear that his team could cut boards to fit and weave them in so we couldn't see the join. The entire project was completed on time (2 days for a Manhattan 2 bed), on budget (almost the cheapest of the 4 quotes we got) and with regular updates by text and email. I am hesitant to write negative reviews as I like to support small businesses. Reading the reviews, we decided to take a chance. My husband was able to schedule an appointment with Deven (the owner), quickly. Deven assured us that we would have GREY, WATER stain on our hard wood floors that had to be sanded. He also stated that he would be able to match the color of the basement vinly flooring and the second floor wood on the stairs. He quoted us a fare price, so we went with booking the job. The original receipt stated we would be receiving water based, grey stain and matching colors of the rooms on the stairs. It went down hill from there. We arrived the morning of the job to pick out our stains. None of the colors on the floor were grey. The two workers stated that they could not achieve the color we wanted because the picture we showed Deven was of synthetic wood. They also could not match the stair colors. Both of the contractors seemed frustrated and one chuckled and smiled as I selected a natural stain instead of the attempts of grey. The receipt I signed made no mention of water or oil stain, nor the color. The day after when my husband went to check the floors, Deven was there and he stated that they went with oil (Deven thought we switched our minds). The two workers never told us that and did it without our wishes. When my husband called the office, the women who picked up the phone stated "there was some confusion with your wife". There was no confusion, it was an error and poor communication with the Exquisite Flooring team. While they rebuffed and stained the floors, it delayed the job and other things we needed to do. Nails were also left on the floors that were promised to be covered. Once again, the team had to come back to fill the nail marks. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone for their lack of professionalism including communication and poor service. read more

I originally had work done by exquisite flooring a year ago. Their reviews were great and Home Advisor had them contact me after I filled out a request form online. I had my upper floor refinished, the runner from the stairs removed and the stairs refinished, and finally hardwood put in two rooms on the ground floor. They did a really good job refinishing the floors in my upper bedrooms and the stairs. I contacted Deven after the floors dried upstairs because his men left staples in my stairs, stained the floor molding in the upstairs rooms, and removed one of the doors from the hinges but didn't put the door back. Deven assured me his men would come back. They never did. I posted a review online. Within the last few months, my floor in one of the back rooms has started to shift upward, creating a huge bump in the flooring. There is no leak and this has only happened in the one room. So now in addition to having to repaint the molding upstairs, I also have to hire a flooring expert to come fix the floor. I would definitely not recommend them. I don't understand how a company that only does flooring can be so sloppy. read more
