What a great find! Great doc. Great personality, very interactive and effective…read more I had been suffering from severe lower back pain for many decades but had never seen anyone about it. Maybe it would get better by itself and just go away. Or maybe it wouldn't. Then suddenly I had a flare-up that was unbearable. Like screaming agony. Apparently tried bending the wrong way doing home improvement (I really should stop that) and pulled something. It was time. I found Dr. Kelly thanks to Mister Google and the few reviews I found were very encouraging. Different people seem to get different results from chiropractors, but there is minimal risk involved so I called and was able to get in quickly. Even though she has a very busy practice. The first session will last about an hour where she gets to know your situation, takes your history and puts you through some mobility tests. She then had me lie down and performed the spinal adjustment (or whatever they call it. Relief was immediate. Pain went away, mobility much better. Then gave me some homework in the form of exercises and some online reading. She scheduled a follow-up appointment a couple days later. Similar, shorter half hour, Recommended same exercises and another spinal adjustment. I wrote up my initial thoughts the day after my second session; about a month passed and so far no recurrence of the horrific pain. An occasional glitch or some discomfort if I strain or over work, but even that is getting better over time. Still need to be careful but outlook is vastly improved and still improving. The visits to Dr. Kelly made all the difference Dealing with this will be long-term issue, of course, especially that it has already done on so long. I will need to continue the back exercises. So give it a try. All you have to lose is your pain. Note on payment: Insurance policies vary on how much, if any, they will cover. For Medicare, it will pay a small part, just for the spinal manipulation. You will need to pay for each visit that day, they take credit cards, they will take your insurance information and submit the claim. They do not accept assignment. You will then receive a check directly from Medicare about three weeks later and your supplemental insurance, if they determine any part is covered. Now for the bad news. I waited a little too long to post this review. August 2018, Dr. Kelly has sold her practice and moved on to Florida. Just before the next Chicago winter sets in. How convenient. Basking in the warm glow of the Florida sun while the rest of us are throwing out our backs shoveling show. The office location remains open under the auspices of a new doctor and a new name. Stay tuned.

PE has been hit and miss for me, and I've always felt it was a bit of a waste of time (I could be doing these exercises at home and saving my $45 copay and commute time--although I agree it's critical do to PT). This time, after injuring my shoulder swimming, I decided to try a different route and visited Dr Kelly--a sports Chiropracter. She works part time in Chicago, part time in Western Springs, and I found her through the Running Institute's home page. Wow. Night and day. Dr Kelly spent a full hour with me, going through a full history of stuff I hadn't even thought about, like posture at work, or playtime with my kids...besides the obvious swimming stroke stuff. She then did a full range of motion and strength tests on both arms. Instead of the typical doc answer "oh, it's probably the IT band (or whatever general guess)," she got very specific and narrowed down the exact nerve that was probably sprained. She then gave me 2-3 basic exercises to kick start recovery, as well as strict guidelines for posture, ultrasound and an icing/ Transverse friction therapy regime. More than anything, I highly recommend her for the amount of time and honest dedication she puts into diagnosing and finding a solution. Far, far better than I've gotten from other docs. For the first time, I feel fully confident a doctor's got my back and I don't have to spend hours online confirming the diagnosis and therapy for myself. Check her out!

Very kind and caring people who are always willing to assist you with anything you need especially if you have never been to a chiropractor before like me. We had a brief consultation and he worked on my neck with some crazy techniques that helped. Not just your average chiro who only does a quick adjustment. He wrapped my neck with this tape that is supposed to act as some sort of muscle tighteners. Then, he gave me the electromagnetic apparatus to take home so that I could wear it all night. He also gave me a few exercises to work on today and tonight. Dr. Kupcho was really laid back and seemed to have an action plan to get me back in the swing of things later on this week. He also didn't criticize me for running, which some chiros have done in the past. Great guy, nice methods and I'll be back in the morning for round two. Oh, and didn't up sell me on anything which is always great. Can't wait to get my neck back to normal!

He takes the time to spend with each patient individually and has a great bedside manner. The neck and back adjustments are excellent and very helpful, and I like that he gives exercises and stretches to do at home, and always asks if I am still doing them. I like the spinal traction machine, I always look forward to doing that. The electrical stimulation feels nice as well. The office is located in the shops just west of Brainard on 55th St. It's a nice little cozy office. I cannot say enough great things about Delos Therapy…read more I had been living with knee pain for a few years when I decided to go to a chiropractor for help. He told me I had tendinitis and referred me to his PT. After multiple sessions and no progress I stopped and just told myself I just shouldn't run or jump ever again. I had knee pain when I slept at night, after I wore heels and pretty much just always felt pain in my knee no matter what i was doing...sitting or walking. After months of low impact exercise, my friend convinced me to try Shred 415 and I fell in love with the workout. Since running is involved, I knew I had to get my knee pain under control if I wanted to make Shred a part of my daily life, which i definitely wanted. I noticed a therapy office within Shred 415 and decided I would see if they could help me with my knee. That was the best decision I ever made. After just a few sessions I began to see major changes with my knee and after 10 sessions I had little to no knee pain on a daily basis. I was able to run without pain and now go to Shred 4 times a week. I am running 4+ times a week! I never thought this day would come. Thank you so much Delos Therapy! You have changed my life!

After feeling no improvement and turning to medical testing, I have since been diagnosed with nerve myotonia -- I literally have an incurable disease of the nervous system. Measurable nerve hyperexcitability. This was not even suspected in TWP's nerve assessment. As far as treatment, I'd recommend you do your homework on the use of an integrator before you behgin treatment here. they do not employ manual manipulation, none. Perhaps a dozen visits, the only thing touched by hand was my shoes, which I was instructed not to remove. They're also very stringent on multiple visits per week, which would've been fine had I felt any changes. I was told if I couldn't make up the number of visits per week because I could only make it two days a week because of work and childcare, I would have to be treated 3 days a week for more weeks if not months longer. The PT is unsupervised and uncoached. I did an excercise entirely wrong one day to see if anyone noticed. No one did. You monitor yourself. Really felt exploited in the end :(

Chiropractic care and office visits with Dr. Vic and Veronica have been an integral part of my path…read moreof improved wellness and health for about seven months. I decided to add Chiropractic care regularly into my life after a friend (Kristin) suggested that I go in for an initial assessment because of neck and back issues as well as an overall sense of stress, fatigue and low energy. Dr. Vic adjusts my spine using a gentler technique, teaches (based on experience and research) and motivates me to continue the path. Each visit reminds me to keep seeking wellness and health. I am less stressed over all. I am more motivated and focused. I do not doubt that if I put into action his other recommendations I would experience even more wellness. Old habits and behaviors can be changed, and mine are slowly transforming by continuing to stay the course with Dr. Vic and to not give up if I don't do it perfectly. My old habits included not paying attention to what my body needed (such as rest, adjustments, healthier food). I am encouraged by Dr. Vic and Veronica to be more attentive to self-care, to prioritize my health. Because of regular chiropractic care and encouragement, my daily behaviors are shifting (slowly, but shifting) to include better choices in food and self-care, which in turn enhance my chiropractic care. They work together. I want my wellness journey to prioritize holistic approaches to care, and chiropractic has proven to be an important component of the journey. I have also had ear pain (with fluid) and wrist pain come up. Dr. Vic did quick adjustments and recommended easy home care solutions for them. Both worked and are now part of my more holistic medicine cabinet (olive oil and garlic for the ear and exercise for the wrist and fingers). I love that we review my progress over time and discuss the changes occurring. I also like that Dr. Vic and Veronica research, read, write and live out what they teach and offer. I love watching them interact with young families and older clients too. As a registered nurse with a passion for compassionate patient care, I appreciate their authentic and genuine kindness and care of their clients of all ages. I consider them to be part of my wellness family!
