I visited my doctor in early December when I became so uncomfortable because of the pain. I could not push open a heavy door or lift anything even just somewhat heavy. I couldn't reach behind me and the pain woke me as I slept. My doctor recommended PT and I met with a therapist in January, where I was given several exercises and directions to attempt to ease my pain. I found some relief but not enough. I was still taking Tylenol and Aleve in an effort to function and to sleep. In May, a gentleman where I volunteered told me acupuncture helped him greatly. Still skeptical , I mentioned this to a relative and she encouraged me to give it a try since her husband went to Frank Grill and found this treatment to be remarkably helpful. So I went , less than enthusiastically, but I found both Angela and Frank Grill, two very kind people, assured me that this could indeed work. The "happy ending" is this. Why would she do this? Again, money. She was pushing her own personal brand of vitamin D that exceeds 100,000 IU. She wanted me to take 200,000 IU a day, just to up my serum levels. This is pointless as the body can only absorb a limited amount a day, and you only need a regular maintenance dose of 800 IUD per day. When I asked her why anyone would need 200x the regular dosage, she said the latest research shows that the body needs many times the regular dose. When I questioned that by researching the original source. I found that it was published by the vitaminD council, and Mercola. Both of these sources are proponents of controversial alternative medicine, aka quacks who have no business being doctors. All they want is money, and that's all Dr. Arina Chapman wants from you.
