Super easy and fun! You must do it. I booked a full karaoke system without a DJ at the last minute, and Mark responded promptly and made the process easy. In less than 24 hours, it was delivered it to our event site and set it all up. The song list was sweet and the system was easy to use. The sound system was also nice to have for playing our own music when people were still too sober to sing. Mark and his team are awesome. Maleko (?) was DJ for my son's birthday party. We had a wide age range of children and adults. Everyone had something to sing there was such a huge selection of music to choose from. They even had an American Idol package that was really cool. Mark was very professional and accommodating. I enjoyed speaking with him to set up a karaoke package for my son's birthday. On a more personal note. Our DJ came 15 minutes early to set up and it started pouring down rain. I was stressed and trying to get all of my patio furniture under the overhang. I couldn't get the pop up tent to work because of the water weight that had already accumulated on top. He stopped what he was doing and ran (literally) to help me. Not part of their service. lol. very sweet guy and respectful. I had a New Year's Eve party last year and rented the A Karaoke DJ Rental equipment and it was a blast!! Mark arrived earlier in the day at the time I had requested to get the equipment set up. He also provided at least 3 books with all of the songs for guests to pick their songs. He showed me how everything worked and it was all very straight forward. This karaoke equipment is legit. It sounds awesome and there were thousands of songs to choose from. There really is a little bit of everything when it comes to song choice, and he even brought print out sheets of the new songs recently added. Excellent organization. If you've been thinking about trying to get a Karaoke setup for a party, you need to seriously consider these guys. I needed a Karaoke setup for a relatively small, modest party of 15 (with no DJ). I was even considering doing my own setup with a Wii, but thank goodness I used AKDJ: - AKDJ were prompt in their communications with me - Everything was clearly communicated in terms of rates, equipment, what to expect, etc. - Song list was unbelievably comprehensive. - Set-up/teardown was handled by their staff and relatively quick. - Equipment made my guest sound like pros (well, maybe that was due to the beer...) Did I mention that they have an extremely comprehensive song list? For the modest amount that they charge, these AKDJ saved me from not only having to deal with setting up my own equipment (which would not have come close to their pro stuff), but they offered a database of songs that I could not have matched (country, blues, 80's, 90's, kids songs, soul, synthpop, top40); and we sang them all! I rented a karaoke system from Mark for my wife's birthday party. Mark was very responsive and showed exactly on time. He set up the system in no time and even tested the system before he left. The song list was up to date and our guests loved being able to sing karaoke without having to all fit into a tiny room (pretty much impossible if you have kids). For those trying to connect the system to a big screen TV, I would recommend telling Mark beforehand so he can bring the correct adapters. I would definitely use Mark's services again. read more

I had called or researched a handful of A/V and karaoke providers in the Bay area, and none had a better, more comprehensive song catalog than AKDJ. Call me crazy, but I prefer my karaoke equipment to HAVE Air Supply, Journey, Heart, etc.; not 100 Travis Tritt songs (no offense to Travis Tritt) as the rest of the companies had. I wanted karaoke at my wedding and a friend recommended A Karaoke DJ after I got a crazy quote from another vendor. Mark is professional and good with communication. I rented the basic package, which was delivered and picked up right on time. Great catalog of music, including some Spanish. For other languages, you can send them up to 5 YouTube links ahead of time and they'll load the songs into the system. We were also able to connect their equipment to a projector. (Mark sent us a photo of the back of the machine so we could make sure we had the right adaptors. Don't throw out your VGA cables, y'all). Price was reasonable too. Rented the karaoke system this past weekend for my daughters 18th birthday and it was a hit. The kids had so much fun and it was really easy to use. The guys that came and set it were excellent they set it up in about 20 minutes showed us how to use it and made show it was working.
