Early in our wedding talks he offered his various services which weren't just limited to music/DJ. Although we had not hired him for planning, he still made an effort to help us by helping us with questions we should be asking vendors and our venue which we greatly appreciate! We like to throw parties and folks had complimented our musical selection which Joel was instrumental in curating and adding some fun songs for games we did throughout our reception! One big item I want to send Joel and team big props was for our guest and table photos. We hired Joel for our daughter's quinceanera this August. We got DJ services and a Photo Booth. He was very personable and was willing to work with us on payments. Everyone loved the Photo Booth and we got physical copies as well as digital. We also got compliments on the music which I was very easily able to collaborate with Joel on. He showed up at the time he stated he would be there and worked seamlessly with our photographer. I would've gave 5 stars, but we had asked for our daughter's name on the dance floor and unfortunately that didn't happen. However, he didn't charge us for something he didn't do, which I appreciate. If I could, I would give Joel and Next Selection Entertainment 10 stars! When I booked Joel, it was 3-weeks before my wedding day after being ghosted by another DJ & MC company. During my initial consultation call, Joel was professional, positive, and empathetic towards the situation I was in and was ready to jump in to help. He walked me through his services and most importantly reassured and communicated realistic expectations, timeline and next steps. I was confident in him and his abilities after our 45-minute call and booked him on the spot! Specifically I booked: DJ, MC, fog machine, ground sparklers and photobooth services for the night. Leading up to the wedding day, Joel and I communicated through text and calls to ensure we had our preferred song lists, timing and wedding schedule ready and rehearsed. Joel even went the extra mile in making scheduling suggestions and recommendations for our photobooth to ensure the photo style matched our venue and decor!! Not to mention, he was super responsive to all my questions -- even texts later in the evening to make sure our wedding was well prepped and ran smoothly!! Fast forward to the wedding day, Joel was the positive energy I needed to get me through the day! He was the hype man during our first dance practice, gave my husband and I a few pep talks before making our grand entrance and kept the jams flowing all night!!! I was assisting a wedding when I met Joel while he was DJ-ing. I liked the songs he would play for the couple, his vibe and knew right away that if I had a wedding, I would choose him.
