The only "challenge" with this venue is the next-door neighbors, who clearly have issues living in proximity to a commercial resort. This was made evident by the posted signs viewable from the rear balconies whereby the neighbors indicated something about the need for guests to keep noise down and be respectful because people live here, etc. Well ... these same neighbors were plainly resentful of the fact that normal party music was played at the wedding reception (music that properly ended at 10:30 pm) and were intent on underscoring the point by BLARING loud outdoor radio music until 2:30 AM and then starting up again at 5:30 AM so as to disturb the guests' ability to sleep. Needless to say, my wife and I were happy to leave this establishment bright and early the next morning. I get it, and it should come to no one's surprise, there are a few "Hatfield and McCoy"-types up in 'dem 'der hills. However, I do believe the resort has some obligation to deal with this problem in a meaningful way, for the benefit of all prospective guests.

This site has a drainage issues and it needs to be fixed before someone else has to suffer through staying here. Do not stay on site 82. Update. The pool is nothing like pictured. It looks to be like 20 years old with no maintenance ever. The lazy river has about 5 tubes available to use and it's 95 degrees in there. The gym was closed due to air conditioning issues There is no dog wash anymore even though it shows it on the map. We tried to ask for more stone on our site and they ignored our request. They never even sent maintenance by. Do not stay at this sun outdoors. This is the worse campground I have stayed at in a long time.

Plenty of water pressure. On to the negative- I've not seen any one of authority come through and enforce rules. No security. We're dog owners and our pups stay on a leash and remain quiet. If you don't mind dogs barking everywhere then this is your place. The gravel sites need to be cleaned up. I think I have found our fire ring over in the weeds. A lot of trash all over our site. The pool area was nice, but this is too big of a campground for one pool area. Very crowded and plenty of adults at the pool using vulgar language around our kiddos. There could also be more benches in the play area for us parents who actually supervise our children. In conclusion, we like our spot. It is very trashy. Buts of garbage everywhere. The fire-pit ring is thrown off in the weeds. A lot could be done to make this place nicer. Straighten up the gravel sites. Spray down the weeds growing though the gravel. Fill in the mud holes from people's driving though the grass. This will be our one and only trip to this campground. Updated** Another example- Our last day, there were some adults at the pool. The conversation told us, these people aren't even staying here. They live up the interstate and come just to swim all day. If we had some kind of staff to check on things, this place would be much nicer and better for the paying campers. Buddy Bear is no "Buddy" to smaller-sized travel trailers…read more I recently stayed 3 nights (Dec 27 - Dec 30) at Buddy Bear RV Campground and was very disappointed with what transpired. I booked my stay from their webpage and received a confirmation email on December 15th for Site #4 which is the one I reserved. Site #4 is a premium site according to the website and it costs a bit more than a regular site. My fiancée and I wanted to stay along the river and at the time that was the only site available along the river. The day I arrived for my stay, Dec 27th, I received an email at 12:37 PM, So around check-in time, stating I was moved to site #21 which is a regular site and not along the river. It is also not large enough for a travel trailer and the towing vehicle to park in. I asked the manager lady why I was moved to a different site and was met with the following responses: "We try to put smaller campers in the smaller sites and save the bigger ones for potential larger campers to rent out." "It's a very common thing, we've been doing this for 30 years and you guys are new campers you'll see." "Park your vehicle over behind the dumpsters if it won't fit at your new smaller site." "The river is still close by as it's just across the street." "You should lock in the site if you want it that bad but it will cost extra." (There isn't an option on the website to Lock-In a site) Someone was already residing in site #4 upon my arrival, I can only conclude they extended their stay and the managers or owners didn't want to move them and figured it would be easier to move me. When we asked for a refund of the difference between the premium site and the regular site I was informed there were no refunds. I also asked to be moved to a different site along the river as there were 5 available at the time of my arrival. The site's 5/7/9/10/11 were all available still and along the river. I was informed that they were all booked up for the holidays and there was nowhere else to put me. Once we kept asking for the refund difference, ONLY THEN, did a premium site magically become available for use. Site #18 is not by the river but at least a large spot for my travel camper and tow vehicle. They had to inform the tenant on site #17 to move his extra vehicles from the site so I could use it. To be clear, they were going to put me in a smaller site, and not give me a refund of the difference before telling someone else to move their extra vehicles from a site they weren't paying for. At the end of the day, I stayed in a "premium site" although it wasn't near the river like I wanted. But we are at least even financially. The morning I was packing up my travel trailer to depart, DEC 30, I took another lap around and wouldn't you know, Premium Site #9 along the river was never booked or used from the moment I showed up until the moment I left. This means they lied about being "completely booked up for the Holidays" We will never be staying here again. My Mother and her Husband won't be, my fiancée and her family won't be either, nor will some of my Army buddies when we take group trips in our campers. From now on we will be staying at Ripplin Waters, it's $57.50 a night there or $60 during holidays so also more budget-friendly! They have over 150 sites with more than 40 along the river. Best of all THEY WON'T MOVE YOU TO ANOTHER SITE OR DISCRIMINATE BASED ON THE SIZE OF YOUR CAMPER.

We were there for 5 nights and even though it rained a lot of the time, the view was incredible, especially the sunrises ! I would caution anyone with toddlers or young children. If they wander off, they could fall off the edge of the property and be hard to recover (the same applies to drunk adults) ! The drive up the mountain is scary (we live in Florida where the only hills we have are the dunes at the beach). We have a Honda CRV and it was a slow climb but we were fine. My sister and her husband have a very large Dodge Ram. They came up at night the first time and had to do some fancy maneuvering to make it to the cabin. All in all, we had a great time !! PS. If you get a chance, go to a restaurant called Graze Burgers in Sevierville. It has much more than just burgers and they have a full bar ! The food and service were wonderful !

Check in was super easy, although finding the office and then the cabin was a bit confusing, but once we figured it out, it was easy to get to and from. The road leading to the cabins is very narrow, so navigating at night was a little difficult, but we made it ok. We stayed at the Cabin "Lover's Leap" It was the end of the road, so it was very relaxing and quiet. I do think they should put up a no outlet sign though, because twice we had people coming down the road, once walking down to see where they could walk and the second time had been around 9 pm when we were trying to relax, and people were outside beeping their horn. I opened the door to see what they needed, but they just yelled they were turning around. So that kind of ruined the privacy of it a little bit. I agree with another reviewer that it could've used a little updating. The shower head didn't give off much pressure and looked kind of dated. The toilet seat was unhinged on the one side. The bed was a little noisy, and could've used replacement. Otherwise the place was a great cabin! We enjoyed our time there, and all nature had to offer. I had a horrible sunburn on my legs, so I was bummed that I didn't get to enjoy the hot tub, but hubby did for a bit. We were concerned because we couldn't get the jets to turn off, but after an hour or two we realized it must've been going through a cleaning cycle. They provided you with soap, towels, and all the little comforts of home. The owner was amazingly friendly over the phone. I probably could've talked with her all day! I highly recommend this cottage as your little getaway. The thunderstorms were a bit scary, but otherwise it was nice and relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of heaven!

Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly frustrating. There was little to no clear signage explaining where to check in or how the process worked. We waited at the "Riding Stables" counter, and when we finally spoke to an employee, we were simply told to stand by the stop sign at the stable. We waited there for nearly an hour before learning we were supposed to have purchased tickets first. No one at the counter mentioned that, even though we specifically told them we were there to ride and didn't know what to do. When I went back to buy tickets, I was told both riders had to be present, so I had to run back for my daughter, only to lose our place in line (we were next up). We were then told rides were assigned based on ticket purchase time, meaning we'd have to start all over again. Since we had a flight to catch, we had no choice but to leave without riding. We could've used that lost time for a nice breakfast and one last hike. To make matters worse, when I explained what had happened, the employee dismissed our concerns and said she was "just in charge of pictures and that we would probably still make our flight" even after starting the whole wait process over. Better signage, clearer instructions, and staff who take ownership of customer issues would have prevented this entire experience. The lady at the main ticket counter wasn't helpful either. Very disappointing.
