Family friendly stay close to all the attractions. I booked the Creekstone Inn, due to its proximity to various things up in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for my family this past weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews and a lower rating. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The Creekstone is located at the tail end of the strip going towards Gatlinburg but it's not on the mainstrip part of it is one street away and the other building is across the creek and down a little more. Which means it's in a great location for both places without all the noise of the street. When traveling with kids that's a very nice thing. When I checked in the person at the front desk was super helpful and nice. My husband and son were coming later and my 7 month old daughter and I were checking in early. He explained that we were in the second building the one across the creek and down a little and how to get there. So we checked in grabbed our keys and headed out. Found the other building super easy and started to unload. This was where we had the only problem the whole stay. We got to the room, she was cranky due to nap time and I couldn't open the door. The light turned green but the door wouldn't budge. Luckily, I had seen some housekeeping personnel on the first floor, so I went down for help. The person, who I assumed to be the manager came up with me and it was a simple issue. The handles on some of the doors were opposite. The handle needed to be lifted up instead of pushed down. Quirky yes, but not bad. The room was clean and spacious with a separate area for when my son came. It was nice we weren't on top of each other. Each room had a balcony facing the creek and you can watch the ducks and geese and little critters from your balcony. My son was super happy to spot what we thought to be a little muskrat hanging out down below. Breakfast is offered daily from 7-10. They have a variety of things from hot to cold items, such as eggs sausages and waffles along with cereal, yogurt and fruit. Plus other things too. Between all of us we probably sampled the mass majority of it. It was all good. It was hot and fresh and honestly a lot better than I expected. For me this place was an unexpected gem. Everyone who I met with, or asked for help from was super kind and helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms are clean and quiet. Yes, if you are in the second building you have to drive for the breakfast that's included, but, that second building is gold. It's quiet with no street noise, just the creek if you opened the door. We enjoyed our stay here. We opted for this location for the weekend that I did the Dollywood Half Marathon. There were two adults and one toddler in our group. We didn't realize that there were two different buildings, one on each side of the river. At first I was a bit annoyed but the building we were in (the one on the opposite side of the water) was right next to a good sized playground. My kiddo loved it. The room was incredibly spacious. It was shockingly well insulated as far as noises went. I think we were on the 3rd floor. There were so many ducks outside of our balcony. My daughter had a blast feeding them. There were plenty of people that were also fishing in the water. I would not recommend their breakfast. It was super basic, watery eggs, bland. Not at all like the food they had pictured. That didn't bother us too much as we enjoyed eating out or cooking in the room. This was the perfect location for doing all the fun museums and Dollywood. read more

But they don't say there are two buildings and you have to drive to get breakfast in another building, had to park across the street because the lot was full. and the parking garage isnt in building we stayed in. the breakfast is advertised as buffet and it's cafeteria style with only three items. Make your own pancakes, yogurt and some fruit. Misleading advertisement. Disappointing, just be honest with us. We come to pigeon forge three to four times a year try to stay in different spots. For a 2 star, this place is awesome!! Delicious free breakfast, clean rooms right on the river! We stayed on the far creekside with the 2 king beds with a balcony over the river. Aside from the noisy geese, it was awesome. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It's a perfect location for Dollywood, the Smoky Mountains and that crazy parkway we had no idea about! I def recommend!! For the price it can't be beat. read more

Right off the top, if you are a family of 4 looking for a reasonably-priced place to stay near the national park or Dollywood, I think this is a very solid choice. I would call this above average. we found it conveniently located, not only to those two places, but as far as access to food and entertainment. We stayed in a "Deluxe Room with River View" in what I think is the old building, on the 3rd floor. There was an elevator which worked fine and luggage carts which we appreciated. The parking was a little bit tight but we always found a space, even late at night. Remember that this one is located across the creek from what I guess is the main building, but we had no problems navigating to the lobby for breakfast (which was just OK) by taking a five minute walk . It was clean, spacious, and had most everything we would need. It would've been nice to have a small table on the outside patio, and a small table inside the room, but we were fine without those. The front desk check was easy, and the people were extremely nice and accommodating. I absolutely loved being by the creek, and though we didn't get a chance to take advantage of it, I love that you can use the hotel's inner tubes for free to have fun on the creek. All in all, not glamorous, but very serviceable for our needs and we would stay again. read more

This place has lost its vibe. They replaced the furniture with huge pieces and the rooms feels cramped and claustrophobic. The last stay was our last and we have been staying elsewhere. I miss the kitschy feel that it had, older but neat and clean. Now, it feels more tacky and uncomfortable. I will miss it since we stayed here so many times over the years. read more

Overall we really liked this hotel. It is very much a mountain resort. The rooms were clean, and the staff was extremely friendly. There were a couple little issues with the room, such as the coffee maker not working, but I'm sure they would have replaced if we had asked. The breakfast was nice. The new of the river was fantastic. My son had a great time swimming and tubing in the river - just bring good water shoes. read more

Pleasant staff and fairly quick check in and out. The room was nothing like I expected , my fault. I looked at so many hotels I didn't pay attention to the room set up which we hated. The bed closest to the balcony doesn't get much of the air conditioning while those by the front door freeze. The water pressure is A LOT and the force splashes water everywhere from the sink that's in the middle of the room. The carpeted floor has dips and groves in the flooring underneath which is odd. The shower sprays SO HARD that even while in the shower and the curtain closed the water sprayed all over the door and floor. Barely any room in the bathroom to turn around in. Definitely not a room to share with others when you need to privately change clothes unless you want to stand in the tub. Exhaust fan in bathroom- really is pointless. Doesn't do squat. And the fear of the toilet over flowing with every flush was stressful. SO MUCH WATER per flush. WOW. ALSO if you're there for just a couple days and don't need housekeeping they places notice on your door saying they will inspect your room if housekeeping can't come in after 24 hours. Never experienced that before. We didn't use the safe so no opinion on that. We enjoyed the balcony and watching the ducks and geese. Went floating a little bit, WEAR swim shoes and be careful it's super slippery. Go down the little rapid forward facing or there's a risk you'll flip. We went down them twice and it was an exhausting activity. The curtains need replacing. One by the balcony doesn't block out the bright morning sun and the one by the door had small holes in it, it also needed to be bigger to properly cover the window. Breakfast: eggs were cooked ok with zero seasoning,sausage was good and had a little Peppery heat to it, potatoes were ok. Some were not done while others were soft. Biscuits - OH LORD- hard as a rock on the outside and really doughy in the center (HOW DOES ONE MANAGE THAT)?) gravy was thin and MEH. Of our 2 days we only got breakfast once so no idea if there are different items on other days. I think they had pancakes, I did see watery looking grits and oatmeal. But didn't look to see what else they had. elevator #1 always smelled amazing. Don't know what they put in there, but was really clean and smelled good. Housekeeping ladies were so nice and helpful even though there was a language barrier. The parking is so weird. Not full spaces and the lines were so weirdly places between the columns. My oversized conversion van had to take up an entire section between columns as I have a wheelchair lift on the right side and couldn't fit next to another car. We parked on very bottom for better parking. There are some brave pigeons outside if you're patient. Overall the place is pretty decent for the price and very clean. There are just some areas needing improvement. The beds were comfortable, when we sat on them there was a huge air bubble because of the plastic enclosed mattress. Lol read more

The reason I give Creekstone Inn such a bad star is, when we got to the hotel on 10/12/2025 our check in was at 4 pm. They said we might be able to check in early for 50 dollars extra if the room was ready. This was around 2:15 pm I didn't see any problem asking. So I gave my number for a text , anyways I went back around 3:45 to see if we could get in early even though they hadn't text me just to see. Our room was supposed to be ready at 4 pm anyways. We'll our room wasn't ready at nor was it ready at 4, 5 p.m rolled around finally got into our room.( which according to the manager was inspected. ) I had gotten heated by this time. There was so much confusion hotels.com and Creekstone Inn we have a room we dont have a room, I booked our room in March 2025. The manager was not helpful at all and very rude. After a heated moment we finally got into our ( inspected room) so we were told there was water standing in the bathroom floor. So I called the the front desk for someone to come clean it up and see so we wouldnt get blamed. He came and said looks like someone flooded the floor and didn't tell them. He laid some towels down in the floor where the water was and said he would bring a fan up the next day and dry it up. Needless to say that made it everything worse since we were already tired and hungry. I called back down to the front desk and ask of the maintenance were coming back that night cause the water was still in the floor and we need to use the bathroom and take showers. I was told we couldn't get another room they were all booked up or compt for that night we got nothing for all the trouble they caused. To be honest, I came here for the breakfast after reading the positive reviews of it. And we were really disappointed in it. But starting from the beginning, when we arrived it took us a minute to find the office (signage could be improved pointing across the street from the actual hotel). Once we got to the office, check-in went fine and our room was nice. Parking was ample, so no problems there. The hotel room has a nice layout for a family, with a bathroom in the middle of two connected bedrooms, and we appreciated that the sink was on the outside of the bathroom so anyone could use it. Our beds were comfy and we had a small porch overlooking the river. The next day, we went to breakfast on the early side to beat the rush and get to Dollywood when it opened. As I mentioned above, the breakfast was a let-down. They have a few sugary cereals, 1 working pancake machine that needed constant maintenance, a small bowl of fruit (good), oatmeal (no peanut butter available for it), and a few hot options (biscuits & gravy, sausage, eggs, and potatoes). I would have loved to have had some healthy options, like yogurt, egg whites, bagels, more toppings for the oatmeal, and in general just more as it was a huge crowd by the time we left. We sat outside during breakfast to get away from the cramped dining room. Apart from breakfast, our experience with the staff was hit-or-miss. Some were super friendly and others were downright unfriendly. In the end, this hotel had some big plusses and some big minuses. With the huge amount of hotels in Pigeon Forge, I think I'd stay elsewhere on my next visit. read more

A hidden little gem off the beaten path. We had a balcony on the river and it was neat watching the ducks. We got the jacuzzi suite, very relaxing and very hot water. This room was perfect for our one night in downtown pigeon forge. We stayed in a beautiful cabin the other nights, but I would recommend this place for one night if you're doing a late dinner show. It's nice to be able to walk home to your hotel. The room itself was nice for two friends. The sink split our beds up so we had a little privacy. The amenities are very outdated and the room smells a little like wet clothing that's sat in the washer for too long but we were looking for a quick place to stop and this fit the bill. The breakfast buffet in the morning was pretty solid too. I docked 1 stars for the amenities/smell and another star for 1 for the cost. This room is not worth more than $200 a night in the fall. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful and the sound of the creek is so relaxing. We appreciated the comfy rocking chairs on the balcony. While we felt it could use some minor updates, there was nothing major to point out overall. The room was very clean, the carpet appeared to be newer or very well maintained. The bed was actually one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a hotel, and the sheets were very soft. We didn't eat the breakfast provided, so I can't comment on that, but you do have to cross the street to the main office for breakfast. I can say the dining area looked very clean and organized. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a more quiet and relaxed setting. read more

Pros - Plenty of hot water and good water pressure - More space to use the bathroom - Very very clean looking, new paint/carpet/sheets/furniture - Empty outlets on both sides of the bed - The breakfast is delicious! Sausage, eggs, and potatoes are always available. - New AC unit! - Fridge & Microwave in all rooms and very clean - New balcony chairs Cons - Very very poor WiFi - Our room had several gnats flying around which was obnoxious - Hair was left in the shower drain - Very slow elevator. My husband has bad knees and during the busy times of the day it is virtually impossible to get the elevator. We waited 10+ full minutes and decided to take the stairs. If you need the elevator, make sure you get a lower level because it will take a lifetime to get to you on the upper levels. Overall a very good experience for the price. read more

I loved this place!!! Just got back home. We stayed there for 8 days (May11-18)with my hubby and had a great time. The guy at the front desk was very nice. We got a nice room with a great view of the creek. This hotel is close to a lot of attractions. They also have tubes available to use on the creek. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to use them because we would leave really early and come back late. The breakfast was good. All the staff were nice and friendly. Only book at this hotel if you smoke. We went hoping to get a few days away to relax by the river before having a baby and could not spend any time outside without inhaling 20 cigarettes from people around us. The balconies are only semi-private, with open lattice, so everyone's everything floats around. It's disgusting. The rooms are fine but nothing that you'd want to spend much time in. This place is worthless without being able to sit on the balcony. I would strongly recommend AGAINST this hotel for anyone with kids, pregnant, respiratory issues and/or doesn't enjoy second hand smoke. Also, the WiFi never worked. We came like I said to rest before having another baby and my husband was planning to get ahead on some doctoral work, but ended up having to use his own phone to get internet to his laptop. Less than ideal, especially when they advertise having free WiFi. Also, the breakfast is the same thing every morning - powdered eggs, sausage, a biscuit, and an apple. Pretty far cry from a previous continental breakfast. Overall, if you don't smoke, don't stay here. read more

Wonderful location, close to many attractions and fun family activities. Loved the riverside balcony with comfortable rocking chairs. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony listening to the rushing water. Biggest disappointment. Bathroom was so tiny I almost had to get in the tub to close the door. Worst housekeeping of anywhere I've stayed in Pigeon Forge. They didn't leave washcloths or toilet tissue, didn't wipe anything down, left a full trash can , but didn't hesitate to take their tip. Staff at the front desk was not friendly, and bothered by the fact we had to go get our washcloths and toilet tissue that should have been left by housekeeping. No apologies. At first we stayed a few nights in Nashville the hotel was not good; cold water, not clean, bad customer service and breakfast was far from good. 4 people in a room they gave two towels and got a annoyed when I asked for more. The Creekstone Inn was great. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony. The shower was good pressure and hot water. The air conditioning worked well no matter where you slept. This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever visited. When we arrived, our floor was damp and our WiFi wouldn't work... i picked up the phone to call the front desk to discover the phone didn't work. As i was taking my iPhone out of my pocket to call the front desk, i opened the door to the balcony. Then i noticed the door was completely rotted. It wouldn't close. The door was warped. I could've easily broken the door down. At first, The front desk made excuses for all of these issues. They told me maintenance was gone but they could take a look at all of these issues the next day. Eventually i trolled by saying, 'I feel very unsafe staying in a room with an unsecured door and no phone. Someone could easily break into this room to harm my family and if my cell phone reception goes out, there isn't even a landline to call the police.' Management was very kind and provided us another room. The door was secure. The WiFi functioned. The phone was in order. But the floor was still damp. After a few minutes, we noticed my two year old son's hands, feet and knees were black from the dirty carpet. We made him wear sweatpants and socks the rest of the time at Creekstone Inn. You see a tiny creek and then you're staring right into a RV resort. Also on the second night I came back after a long day out and found this bug right in the middle of my bed. First the service is great, check in is fast and covid-19 precautions have been taken. Mark checked us in and was fabulous. Even called after we had time to get situated in the room to see if we needed anything and to make sure everything was fine. Nestled romantically next to the river which is beautiful natural scenery. The room was immaculate, newly renovated and clean. Includes coffee pot, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, microwave, mini-fridge, safe, as well as 2 flat screen TV's. The only reason I didn't give Creekstone 5 stars is the elevator is very slow, really needs updated and/or a second elevator added. Parking is on sight in an underneath parking garage that is very very tight. Overall for the location, cleanliness, and friendly service this place is cost effective. read more

Located one block in from the main road. Close to all attractions. The price was very affordable. The room was quaintly decorated and very clean. However, maid service consisted of clean towels, replenishing toilet paper & tissues, and emptying the garbage. One or two days without cleaning the room may be fine, and I didn't mind making the bed, but six days without cleaning it is not. read more

The hotel is a tad further in off the main road but still easy to find. Front desk staff is very nice and professional, check in and out was smooth. Rooms seem updated and this place is CLEAN. Beds are soft and pillows are kinda big but hey to each their own. Bathroom is small but sink area is huge. Balcony is nice and the creek and ducks sound relaxing while we kept the door open. The warm breakfast was very filling too, they had really good biscuits. Location is great , close to Smoky Mountains. Would definitely stay here again when at Pigeon. read more

Air conditioner is old and only one of ours has a shield on it to keep air blowing out towards the room. The rest of us have water bottles on the curtains to keep air from blowing up that way, again nothing here is consistent. Parking garage has always had spaces but its a weird garage and backing out of spots isnt easy. Its just two levels but so far so good. They also are one of the few places that still ask for your make model and car license plate. Breakfast is in room 217, and its just a couple tables and some really bad muffins, instant grits packages and couple beverages. One of the worst Ive seen you can though use the coupons for the free pancakes aross the street. Rooms are very old and a decent size but bathroom is painfully tiny, you can barely go in and shut the door behind you. Furniture is older but the dresser in my room is long but only has 2 drawers and its all I have. Some of our other rooms have a standing regular dresser with several drawers, again nothing is consistent here. There is no closet but a hanging bar that may or may not have hangers. If you won't use them mive them or you will hit them every time you walk by as they are right at sink. Sink is outside bathroom by the between bed and living room. Tvs are flat screens in some rooms some still have old style but they have a lot of good channels to choose from. Refrigerator is a good size hotel one and microwave is ok though we havent used it. Patio is nice has a table and couple chairs, all of our rooms have different pieces some were on patio some were in rooms and we had to put out when we arrived. Patio overlooks creek but also overlooks a very crowded rv park and those folks are always out in the water. All campsites have a firepit right at the water and it can get a bit smokey. Patios have metal screens between the rooms which is great when you don't know your neighbors but when you do it would be nice to be able to have them available to open like a cruise ship will do. Only one of our rooms has an alligator lock on it, others just have a regular lock, more safety precautions would be nice. Weve all had issues with the room key cards but they say they are new and they have had lots of issues. Little sitting area is nice but really for safety should be up front with the beds in the back, don't feel as safe with my bed up front by a door that has no extra safety measures. Bed itself sleeps ok but is small, I would say a full though i think it says queen, if it is its the smallest queen I've ever seen. We would never stay here again, nothing is endearing or exciting enough to get us back for a 2nd stay. Smoky mountain resorts owns this as well as other properties and I can't see where they are putting their money. read more

The best part of this hotel is being able to wake up and head out to the balcony! I loved watching the ducks and geese play below our window! The parking here is a tad strange, but there was always plenty for everyone. I subtracted a star because our room did look like it could have been cleaned better. There were food crumbs all over the floor from the past person staying there. Check in was easy and the staff was super nice. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. We enjoyed our stay here. Our son and daughter in law stayed with us. With the bathroom dividing the 2 beds it made seem a little more private. The hot breakfast was very good. It was better than most. The hotel is right on the Little Pigeon river so we got to see some wild life. The room was clean and maid service came in everyday and made beds and replenished towels, toilet paper and took out trash. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also your only 10 mins from Gatlinburg and just one block from the main street in Pegion Forge. We would definitely come back again and recommend it to everyone. read more

Some of our other rooms have a standing regular dresser with several drawers, again nothing is consistent here. There is no closet but a hanging bar that may or may not have hangers. If you won't use them mive them or you will hit them every time you walk by as they are right at sink. Sink is outside bathroom by the between bed and living room. Tvs are flat screens in some rooms some still have old style but they have a lot of good channels to choose from. Refrigerator is a good size hotel one and microwave is ok though we havent used it. Patio is nice has a table and couple chairs, all of our rooms have different pieces some were on patio some were in rooms and we had to put out when we arrived. Patio overlooks creek but also overlooks a very crowded rv park and those folks are always out in the water. All campsites have a firepit right at the water and it can get a bit smokey. Patios have metal screens between the rooms which is great when you don't know your neighbors but when you do it would be nice to be able to have them available to open like a cruise ship will do. Only one of our rooms has an alligator lock on it, others just have a regular lock, more safety precautions would be nice. Weve all had issues with the room key cards but they say they are new and they have had lots of issues. Little sitting area is nice but really for safety should be up front with the beds in the back, don't feel as safe with my bed up front by a door that has no extra safety measures. Bed itself sleeps ok but is small, I would say a full though i think it says queen, if it is its the smallest queen I've ever seen. We would never stay here again, nothing is endearing or exciting enough to get us back for a 2nd stay. We spent the weekend , and this is my personal thoughts on the property.Parking is an issue , if you have a large vehicle you don't want the under building lot,very odd tight spots.The room we had was lowest floor,2 queen.It would be a good set up for family traveling together as it had a "master" bed with TV an door to the large balcony-and that had its own door could be closed for privacyThe bathroom is tiny, but in fairly good conditon.All carpet except bath- good condition just not a fan , hard surfaces are cleaner.The balcony was huge with four chairs and a solid partition wall so no neighbor issues.The river is lovely , but the campground across it is not the best view,not a deal breaker , just be aware its not really private.Breakfast is fairly tasty,with a decent selection....on a scale of 1 to 10....general property conditions-8,cleanliness-8,location -9,value for money spent-7.all in all I would stay again. read more
