Was looking for a 200A panel upgrade from an old 150A Pushmatic panel. I quoted with a few other electricians. Tony from ALK was the first out to quote. First things I immediately learned from Tony was that I was limited to 150A based on the wires coming in from outside and could get them replaced but will cost a good bit more due to the need for digging (my lines are underground). Other electricians I quoted didn't even look at the incoming lines and had no concern push a full 200A service my incoming wires couldn't support. Tony was very nice during the visit (wore a mask too), costing was excellent and was able to line up the work in about a week after the visit and did a terrific job (so happy to done with that old buzzing panel). Tony was prompt with his response through yelp. He arrived when he said he would. I thought I had a bad circuit breaker, but he did some detective work to figure out why the circuit was tripping. After some careful investigative work, he determined it was coming from a bad wire hooked up to a plug outside, at the back of the house. I also had a loose electrical box in the kitchen that sparked when plugging something in. He quickly changed it out. I like that he took his time and explained what he was doing. Amazing service. Tony came out to our house to install a 220V outlet for an electric dryer as the previous owners had a gas one. We had several consults with other electricians who quoted astronomical fees and one who flat out told me it couldn't be done. Tony took one look, gave me a price and next thing I knew he was able to install and run a 220V line from our basement to our second floor laundry room without any evidence he was even there.
