There isn't a defined waiting area separate from the class space (it flows together). Because of this, during meditation or savasana people will be entering for the next class. With doors opening/closing, people talking and general noise that personally takes me out of the zone. They also catch noise from somewhere adjacent that sounds like a piano music class. However, I can sympathize that that's out of their control. I also had a class where the instructor had everyone go around the room stating any injuries/physical limitations. Many people find yoga due to physical limitations and it was very awkward. I believe those conversations should stay between instructor and student since everyone is on a different journey and doesn't always want everyone to know. They have a wonderful location and it's never terribly hard to find free parking in Tremont. I've also met some nice people and appreciate the non-competitive atmosphere. I have heard great things about their massage and other services and I would look forward to visiting one of those!

Very personalized, small classes. Almost all classes end with yoga nidra which I love. Bhumi is very experienced and knowledgeable, and makes sure you are in alignment and will not injure yourself. Most classes are open to all levels of experience. Classes are held outdoor on the huge yoga deck in good weather, and the view from the newly-built spacious indoor studio is breathtaking, with a view of the pond, woods, and birds. The drive there is beautiful; a country setting.

I've long been interested in trying out a yoga class and the beginner's workshop was the perfect way to start out. Most times I was too afraid to book a class elsewhere because all the hardcore yogis would be flowing through moves and I'd be huffing and puffing on my mat unable to figure out what was going on. That was so not the case here. Our yoga instructor, Erica (and owner of the biz), was friendly, welcoming, and helpful the entire class. We were led through a series of moves all leading up to being able to put together a sun salutation A. With Vinyasa each move "flows" through to the next and builds off of some basic poses. Per the YogaFlow website, Vinyasa yoga is a strong, athletic style of yoga that links movement to your breath. The focus on breathing was more relaxing than I had anticipated. I left class feeling both energized and calm. It was wonderful. The beginner's workshop lasted the full two hours but it felt like no time at all. Very much looking forward to my next class. Some notes: -Bring your own mat, water, and a towel. -They provide yoga props (blankets, blocks). -To get to the studio enter the building at 5320 Hoag Drive (park behind the building), enter Dr. Michael Seng's office and turn right, then head up the stairs to the loft. -Try not to eat before class (you probably wouldn't feel so great if you do). -Don't wear super loose baggy clothes, they will get in the way. -Various level classes are available throughout the week, check the website for details.

There was no kindness or compassion or even neutral nonchalance - she just had a strong negative attitude and clearly didn't want to be there. "Community acupuncture" is supposed to be 25 minutes. It was really only five minutes of peacefully sitting with the needles in, if you don't include having to listen to the acupuncturist chatting with everyone about their weekend, being reprimanded for daring to say something when the needles fall out, and being asked if you're ready to have them out with five minutes of time still left. I felt no reduction in pain or other différence after the session. Would not recommend, as it was a waste of time, money and mental peace.
