Right away I got good vibes just by speaking to the owner over the phone. He ask me what size unit I had and where it was going. Then gave me a flat moving rate that I approved of. On moving day I had some issues getting my apartment so I was 15min late to the unit. They were nice enough to patiently wait until I arrived. Moving started at 1pm with the help of another guy they went straight to work. They moved my stuff from the storage to the truck in like a hour. Which I was surprised because the company who moved me to my storage had three people and took way more time then that. I was so pleased because everything was finally going right. When they got to the apartment they immediately got to unloading everything. They even chatted with me a lot as we discussed my new apartment and how I could had gotten a better rate elsewhere. (if only I knew them sooner) They were really friendly which is what southern hospitality is all about. What I expected to be a scary situation turned out to be a win overall. I've waited 3+ weeks and after a lot of back…read moreand forth, we are done dealing with this moving company and i can finally post an honest review. we paid for a 3 man 6 hour move. two guys and a prepubescent child arrived. the third "guy" must have been the owner's kid or something because there's no way he would have been hired to move anything. he was so frail and tiny - i wanted to help HIM when he was lifting things. to charge us a whole "man" for this child is shady business practice number 1. i was worried about him damaging our property. I will say that Seth and Ben were nice enough, even though they did all of the work, but calling the third guy a man is a crime. he felt sick during the move and we needed to give him two cans of soda for him to feel better. despite being quoted for 6 hours, we were billed for over 7 hours because they said the clock starts and ends when the crew gets back to their office. this should be included into estimate so the consumer knows in advance how much it will cost. what if they stopped somewhere on the way? there's no way for us to know- shady business practice number 2. so the expected happened and of course some of our things were damaged- a little scuff here and there can be expected, sure. However, TWO of our beds were DAMAGED so much that for one of them they had to take the piece back to be repaired in their warehouse and the second piece that was damaged - the guy had to come to our house to repair (VERY poorly i might add!!!!). these were brand new, very expensive beds. I advise anyone to think three or four times before hiring this business. you will be paying for service you won't receive ( they sent two men and a baby to move our house) and you will have to hound them to get repairs done for the damage they caused. they also charged me $25 for a box for our large tv- then took the box back with them...what? didn't i pay for that?

The place caught on fire and everyone had to move out. I was in a panic as I looked for a safe and affordable place. Angie here at SRoA was so kind and helpful. She took time with me and was patient as I opened the door to every unit available to see which one I wanted. She returns every call and stops in her golf cart to say hi and make sure I feel safe and everything is ok. I am so happy I moved my stuff here.

First, when they moved our washing machine, they knocked the sink off of the wall and spilt the blue liquid detergent all over the carpet, so my husband had to rent a carpet machine to clean up the mess and make repairs. Second, I had to ask multiple times for them to wrap the computer screen on my peloton. It was loaded into the truck still unwrapped, but they finally did it as I stood there and watched. But the biggest mess up was them failing to wrap a new expensive leather chair that I told them when we walked through the house to wrap and that it was expensive...to please be careful. Well, they didn't wrap it, and I didn't monitor every move. (And my husband was occupied with renting a carpet cleaner and fixing the sink being knocked off the wall!) I was devastated to find my chair with BLACK SHARPIE on it that transferred over from a box sitting on it!!! Of course no ownership was taken. The response from Cornelius was that they had pads, but they couldn't leave them with us. What?!? We had plastic wrap leftover that wasn't used! Nor did he ask me if I had other blankets!!! Of course other items were damaged and broken like both of my kids' desks and a chunk taken out of my son's nightstand due to poor packing and not wrapping. I posted another chair too. But the leather chair!!!!! BAD BAD service!!!
