Also charged me 715 dollars to send my drive shaft to Carolina drive line to mount, balance, and replace bearings in driveshaft when i directly called Carolina drive line and they said it was between 350 and 450 but he didn't have the paperwork in front of him.

The others wanted me to call them rather than being proactive. I provided the vin and the quote was 60% less than the dealer. I spoke with Caleb, and we added more things to do. During the maintenance, he sent photos of his work. I live pretty close to him. He was able to take my car in the night before and he delivered the vehicle back to me completed. It is difficult to find an honest mechanic who isn't trying to scalp you. It is also difficult to find a mechanic that has fair pricing. I recommend Fix All Auto, LLC. Back around 2019 I took a Honda manual 5 speed transmission in for repair. All Trans found the…read moreproblem to be a worn out input shaft bearing, and the transmission was repaired for a reasonable price. Several thousand miles later, I discovered that the transmission had been leaking fluid, so I replaced the axle seals (relative simple procedure) hoping that would stop the leak. Early last week the car refused to shift into reverse, and I found that the fluid was once again low. Refilling the fluid made no difference, so I pulled the transmission - and this time, disassembled it myself. I found the problem to be that a plastic "oil gutter" had fallen to the bottom of the transmission, and fouled the shift forks. During assembly, the "oil gutter" is supposed to be bonded in place. preventing it from later coming loose. Also, it appears that the fluid had been leaking past the input shaft seal; Honda's shop manual instructs the installer to wrap tape around the input shaft spline *before* pushing the input shaft through the seal, to avoid damaging the seal lip. I am pretty sure that this precaution was not taken by All Trans. To summarize, back in 2019 I removed a manual transmission and took it to All Trans for expert repair. I have since discovered that two assembly errors caused me to have to pull the transmission again (ugh!), and fix it myself this time.
