Day-of Coordination: Elena stood out not only on the wedding day but also in the months leading up to it. She was incredibly helpful during the planning process--offering thoughtful insight into creating a seamless timeline and even helping with ideas for decor and place settings tailored to our outdoor, beachy (and occasionally windy!) wedding. She thought of every detail, from preparing us in advance to get those dreamy photos (like the first kiss and cake cutting) to ensuring everything ran on schedule without a hitch. On the day, Elena was a true lifesaver. From the rehearsal to the ceremony and reception, I never once had to worry about where I needed to be or what was next. She kept everything moving smoothly, pointing me in the right direction while allowing me to fully enjoy the company of our guests and the magic of the day. And she always made sure we were taken care of (never without a drink in hand!). Her leadership and attention to detail made it all so effortless for us. Florals: Melissa tackled all of our floral arrangements, and I couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Working within my limited budget, she brought my vision to life with stunning florals that perfectly matched our style and the seaside setting. Melissa truly understood the look I was going for, and her creativity and expertise made every arrangement stand out beautifully. I booked her early and we initially just did a couple meetings to discuss our vision and needs regarding coordination, vendor contracts and florals since we did not need a full-planning service, only partial. She was always upfront and gave me honest opinions especially when it came to where to splurge and save, and what could look good and what wouldn't. The last 2 months is where she really shined, helping us follow up with vendors on details, setting deadlines for me to book rentals, reviewing contracts and constantly doing sanity checks when I needed it. The day of, she came extremely prepared, everything flowed smoothly (except some technical issues on part of the venue) and she was great at going with the flow and just letting the vibe and natural mood of the day go, and fixing whatever problems I threw at her. We also had her as our florist and she truly out did herself- her prices were incredibly reasonable and she handled everything like a champ when her assistant got sick the day of the reception. She also took my back and forth floral design suggestions and changes very well, as I am quite particular on details in some areas and deferred to her expertise in others. From start to finish, everything was handled with such care, professionalism, and attention to detail--it made our day feel effortless and unforgettable. A huge thank you to Will for his clear, thoughtful communication from the very beginning. He took the time to walk us through every detail, answer all of our questions, and make us feel completely confident in the process. Petr was also incredibly helpful throughout the planning process--so kind, enthusiastic, and genuinely a joy to work with. We especially loved getting to meet both him and Will in person at their incredible food tasting, which made us even more excited (and confident!) about our choices. The food was truly out of this world and deserves a special shoutout. During cocktail hour, guests raved about the hummus and pita, bacon-wrapped dates, arancini balls, and mini beef Wellingtons--each bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For dinner, we chose a dual entrée of salmon and pork served with seasonal vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and it exceeded every expectation. Multiple guests told us it was some of the best salmon they've ever had. The vegetarian curry cauliflower steak was also absolutely delicious and such a standout dish. We heard over and over again that this was the best wedding food our guests had ever experienced--and as the bride and groom, we completely agree! All of their partnered vendors were excellent and we feel so lucky to have been connected with all of them through Abbey. Mishele's floral arrangements were nothing short of stunning--every piece was beautifully designed and elevated the entire atmosphere of our event. We received so many compliments on the flowers! Renato and everyone at SugarBear Sweet Provisions absolutely blew us away with the cake and cupcakes--they were not only gorgeous but also incredibly delicious. Our guests are still talking about them! Tareq was a joy to work with, and he even brought out his drone to use to capture footage of our special day! We cannot wait to see his wedding video, he is so talented. DJ Brain was incredible!!! His communication was excellent, and he brought so much positive energy to our event, set up our mic stands seamlessly, and got everyone onto the dance floor! My mom said she looked around at one point, and didn't see a single person of the 114 guests sitting down at the tables during the reception. Chuck was truly a standout throughout the entire day. His coordination was flawless, ensuring everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. We had so many small décor items, and he set up every single detail perfectly--it honestly exceeded anything we could have imagined. At one point, he even found double-sided sticky tape to make sure our candles stood up straight on every table. He went above and beyond in every way--bringing us plates of appetizers during cocktail hour and even surprising us with passionfruit mojitos throughout the night without us having to ask. That level of attentiveness meant so much to us. And finally, the Abbey service staff were exceptional--professional, attentive, and incredibly kind. They made sure our guests were well taken care of and contributed so much to the overall experience. We are beyond grateful to this entire team for making our event so special. From the start Will, who signed us up, was most helpful and really knew his information. We clicked instantly and it was such a pleasure to talk with him and meet him in person. We signed up for the tasting before signing with Abbey Catering and that was such a great experience. We got to meet Will in person and there was so much food to try and luckily bring home. After meeting Will we really had a great feeling and signed up within that week. The food was incredible at the tasting, and it was hard choosing which entrée and hours d'oeuvres to choose from since everything was so good. Chuck, our wedding coordinator, was beyond great and so helpful. He was such an asset to have on our side and really made the day go smooth. He was also so friendly and great to work with. We really felt like we made friends with our Abbey team There were absolutely no hiccups whatsoever and I was so calm the whole day. David, our catering lead, was another amazing team member. He was right there to offer us food first and make sure we had enough of our share. The rest of the catering team always made us a priority too and I was very hungry after the ceremony in between pictures so that was so great. We ordered the following for tray passed hors d'oeuvres: petite beef wellington, wild mushroom arancini, bruschetta, and bacon wrapped stuffed dates. We opted for the dual entrée of the boneless short ribs, and the panko-herb crusted chicken with vegetables and the truffle smashed potatoes. All were so good and I wish I could eat them all again Our guests could not stop raving about the food. They even made dietary restriction meals for several of our guests, and they said it was one of the best vegan/vegetarian meals they have ever had. We really were impressed with the food and so glad we went with Abbey as that was important for us to have really good tasting food. We opted for the whole package with their vendors for flowers, DJ, photographer, and cake. Best decision ever!!! We had Emerald and Ivy for the florist and my goodness Mishele, and the Abbey team put together exactly what I pictured in my mind! Such beautiful flowers and we rented bud vases and candles from her. DJ Abel from the Wedding Entertainment Collective was beyond amazing! He played our songs and knew the vibes we were going for. The dance floor was a hit, and our guests were dancing the whole night. Everyone was telling us the DJ was so good! Misha, our photographer, was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures are so beautiful! The cake and mini cupcakes from Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions were out of this world! I'm so glad we saved our wedding cake because we ate it the next day. Our guests loved the mini cupcakes too and we even had enough to give out at treats and take home. We really are so grateful we decided to go with Abbey catering. They really went above and beyond. The whole team, Will, Chuck, David, and the caterers were 10 out of 10 Thank you so much and to the Abbey vendors for making our day even more special!

She made everything so easy from the moment we hired her through our wedding day. She is kind, easy to talk to, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we met her. They say something goes wrong at every wedding however at our wedding everything went perfectly and that was all due to Gina making sure everything was in its place. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day because Gina was there to do all of the background work and she executed it all beautifully. With the planning process, she is super communicative and keeps you on schedule to make sure everything is booked ahead of time. She has great relationships with vendors and she recommended the best vendors to us (DJ, videographer, florist, etc). Every vendor we worked with repeated the same genuine sentiment "Oh, Gina's the best!!!" or some variation thereof...and it wasn't hyperbole. We aren't from the San Diego area so we knew we needed a planner that was local to help us and Gina was the perfect planner. For those wondering the process, you have an intro call with Gina to go over your vision for your wedding. We discussed vaguely what we were envisioning for our wedding. I can't express this strongly enough...TOUR YOUR VENUES. We met her on the tour of the 5 or so recommendations and ultimately decided on the La Valencia hotel that day. (The best venue ever!!!) Following venue selection we had a handful of emails and calls discussing vendors and people she has worked with. She will give you a number of recommendations but it is up to you to ultimately decide. She is available and quick to respond if you have any questions and will make sure you have everything you need to make sure your wedding day goes perfect. On the wedding day she helped our vision come to life and made it look even better than we could have imagined. Everything was beautiful and everything went according to schedule. We had no stress on our wedding day because we knew Gina was taking care of every single detail to ensure our day was everything we wanted and more. A full two months before the wedding she was working out our wedding timeline with us via google doc. Her template made the whole crazy event seem manageable and organized, and allowed us to solidify the schedule of our wedding day quite precisely. Throughout the time leading up to our wedding, she helped us plan seating arrangements, procession order, and worked with our caterers (ArtQuest Catering) to organize their role within the schedule. Over a week before the wedding she sent us a to-the minute timeline of the day, and worked with us as we tweaked it right up until the day before. Despite being, as I mentioned, our day-of-coordinator, Ashley literally ran our rehearsal session the day before the wedding. She was on site before we arrived, took us through every step of the ceremony schedule, made sure everyone knew what they were responsible for, coached us our walking speed, asked pertinent questions, etc. On the day of the wedding, she seemed to be everywhere at once, managing what was a pretty complicated, orchestral event. We were not the easiest clients- our wedding was packed with a ton of tiny specific events, like surprise serenades, and a very short window for sunset photos, and a rock performance that included the bride and groom. Ashley was there through it all making sure we knew where we were headed next, that we were on time, and properly hydrated. Seriously, we were super stressed planning for this wedding, but on the day it happened everything went so smoothly and that was in large part to the care and precision and professionalism that Ashley brought to her work coordinating the day. Best decision ever, was to hired Ashley Mayo and her team ! I email her about 50 times (not kidding LOL), and every time she was nicer, polite and her responses were always on time!. She made the planning process a lot easier because she is without a doubt a Subject matter expert when it comes to weddings. I met with her about 2-3 times, explained by vision of my dream wedding and she was super responsible providing timeline, suggestions, contacting vendors, coordinating set up with the venue a few weeks before the wedding, in other words making sure everything run perfect for the day off. BEST PART... I did not worry at all the Day Off the wedding! She had it all covered, I was able to enjoy our wedding, decoration was set perfectly, all vendors were on time, she was even able to provide the final envelopes with payments to vendors so I didn't even have to worry about that. Ashley brought her assistance and they both made our day incredibly beautiful. Adore Wedding design team were polite and nice to our guest and I just want to THANK Ashley and her assistance for her services. My now…read morehusband, John, and I were definitely on a budget and thought, since we have friends that could DJ, cater, and a wedding party of 9 bridesmaids who were so eager to help, how hard could pulling a wedding of 150 guest be. After John and I picked a date and a venue that fit our style and budget, we began the real planning. As any bride would know, I quickly became overwhelmed. Don't get me wrong; I have been planning for years on my Pinterest Board. I knew I wanted something different, something not so traditional, and something that not only we would remember forever, but our guests would have a blast at. So, I pinned and pinned away on my Pinterest Board. I could not stop pinning. I think I may have been trying to avoid actually setting up vendors and planning for decorations, because I honestly did not know where to start. A wedding coordinator was looking more and more appealing to me. For years I followed, K&G events and Grace on social media, admiring the exceptional details and unbelievable set ups, I would call "eye candy". Two of my bridesmaids used K&G Events for their weddings and had nothing but positive things to say about their professionalism and style. John and I live in Las Vegas, but were planning a wedding in my hometown of San Diego. I also work as a night shift RN which I thought might make it difficult to coordinate phone meetings with K&G Events, but they accommodated us so easily. They were always at our reach and were efficient in responding to any random questions and thoughts John and I had throughout our planning. After our first sit down meeting with K& G Events, I already felt a major weight lifted from my shoulders. Grace and Cindy were so amazing. They are genuine people. They never made us feel like our budget was too small. They truly have a passion for what they do, and you could see it in every aspect of their work. It was not hard for John and I to trust them with what would be the Best Day of our Lives. Our wedding ran seamlessly. Not to mention, the night before the wedding, I had a tearful, overwhelming breakdown. I had to call Grace and Cindy to make some last minute changes, and they quickly could sense my anxiety. Grace has such a genuine big heart. She comforted me, eased my mind, reassured me of how amazing and big the next following day would be, and told me that I needed rest overall and that everything was taken care of and there was no need to worry. Grace and Cindy are so personable; they make you feel like they have known you for so much longer, in the way they comfort you and the way you are able to truly trust them Grace and Cindy were incredibly organized. They took care of so many details with vendors and relaying information from the vendors to our venue officials. They gave us options, and really let us find our own connection with the right Officiant who would end up marrying us. Grace and Cindy, made our "Boho Island Chic Wedding" come to life, from the amazing embellishments as centerpieces, to the beautiful dessert table, all the amazing lettering, the giveaway table, the cute framed quotes, and my two most favorite pieces of 'eye candy': our 'Boho Island' Sweetheart table and very Boho teepee and pillows photo-op that was set up outside during cocktail hour. To say the least, K&G made our dreams come true. Our guest were truly amazed, taking pictures of all the details just as much as they were taking pictures of themselves having a great time. It was definitely a wedding our family and friends could never forget. Robert took the time to chat with us and help us navigate the world of wedding planning in San Diego. Even prior to booking them, he spent time chatting with us and genuinely gave us ideas and support to go on our way with our vendor search and decision making. We did our tasting at the Abbey downtown and got to taste our meal at this venue. They asked a lot of questions so that they could just our meal just right. The Abbey was responsible for the catering and bar service at our event. A few months prior to our event, we were assigned our event captain Petr Trebin! HE IS FABULOUS! We loved his enthusiasm, attention to detail and style and focus on ensuring that everyone was well taken care of! Our event was seamless and everything went incredibly smooth. Upon entering our reception, the Martini Tree brought the wow factor! The hanging drinks caught the eye of our guests and warmly welcomed them into the reception. Many of our guests raved over the food and went out of their way to stress how delicious everything tasted. We chose a handful of delicious tray passed appetizers including the bacon wrapped figs, cream cheese wontons and soyrizo quesadillas and for dinner, chose the Abbey Signature Salad (mixed greens with walnuts) and Dual Entree plate with short rib, panko crusted chicken, truffle mashed potatoes and vegetables. Through out our event, Petr was a ninja- behind the scenes ensuring that everything was going as planned. He worked hand in hand with our coordinator and ensured we were well fed and that we had food readily at our disposal (SO IMPORTANT on your wedding day). He plated us all of our apps in a beautiful display. We actually felt full from how much we ate, which we hear is so rare from couples on their wedding day and were grateful for how attentive Petr was. In addition, our guests shared that the bartenders were rockstars! The drinks were pouring and it made for an epic dance party on the dance floor. The Abbey came highly recommended by our venue coordinator and we understand why. We had a great experience with them and are glad they were a part of our big day!
