We did a Cinco De Mayo theme party for a bunch of friends and I wanted to make little giveaway treat bags full of Mexican Candy. I was referred by some friends to check out this place and it did not disappoint. This little shop in National City has a good variety of candy and other treats. They also sold piñata's and other party supplies. I only bought candy so I can't speak to everything else. I was able to find these big bags of assorted Mexican candy that were individually wrapped in smaller bags of 15. I believe the intent is that you stuff these bags into the piñata's, but they worked perfect as a stand along giveaway at our party. One thing I found here that I will keep in mind for our next party, they had a bunch of custom theme centerpieces. Definitely worth checking out if you are planning a party. read more

Great selection of piñatas $22-35. My kid loved it. I would like to see more evil characters since I think it's weird to beat up a character that they love, princesses or Elmo, lol. I think more monsters would be good. I bought a generic piñata and printed a face of a monster (Putin) and attached to the red star Santa piñata, lol. Best piñata shop! I contacted Jesus by phone and requested a custom piñata for my daughters Birthday. I wanted something they didn't normally carry- a watermelon with a cute face. I ordered two weeks in advance and sent a picture from the internet to copy. And what a deal! An excellent price! And a perfect match to the photo. This is my absolute favorite place for party supplies. Candy is very reasonably priced. They have a very large variety. Pinatas are are also amazingly priced. They actually do last through many hits. A few times the stick has broken before the piñata does... Have an extra tick or bat on had. Just in case. They're made sturdy, and pricing is also very reasonable. You can also special order a piñata. I'd give them a couple of weeks notice for a custom piñata. I've seen a few, and they look incredible!! Definitely give Monarka a try. They do have a smaller store, opposite side of Highland Ave. Mostly piñatas and decor. Both stores should be able to assist you with everything you need. If you want to find a great selection of party supplies I highly recommend this place. I've been to the store several times and they provide the whole package: from jumpers, tables, chairs, table ware and not to mention a great variety in price and selection of piñatas, and if they don't have it they can get it for you within 15 days. Did I mention the huge selection of candys too. Now I drop in just for a bag of my favorite so I don't have to over pay buying one at a time elsewhere. read more

You don't simply just want any generic one, and you hope that it's good enough for the occasion. All the while, you want it to be of nice quality with adequate capacity for treats inside. I claim that in order to find such a place, one must venture down to Chula Vista at the very least. Pros: - Cheap - Good quality - Good variety Cons: - Cash only - Limited parking Neither pro nor con: - Out of the way from many other visible businesses in the area. It is a far drive from my home, but this place was definitely worth the drive! I really wanted a grand piñata for my nephew's birthday party and this place was highly recommended by coworkers. Upon entering, you will be in awe in the amount of quality piñatas on the ceiling. On the ground, there are tons of Mexican candies and other party supplies. They have two locations so if you don't find what you are looking for in this location, they will all the other location for it. Alternatively, give them at least a two weeks notice to make a custom piñata. Luckily, I found the Spider-Man piñata my nephew wanted. It was as tall as my nephew haha. . . The piñata itself is sturdy so don't worry about transport or trying to stuff the piñata in your car. The better part is the price! read more

I was able to purchase two Paw patrol character piñatas. Super affordable and cute chase and Marshall. I went to two different dulcerias and they did not have them. Really recommend them for piñatas, they also have variety of candy and lots of specials on their piñata candies. read more
