My husband and I went down to Wholesale Candy World on a Friday afternoon. It was tough to find time to go, as it is in a warehouse district nowhere near my daily route, and it is not open on nights or weekends. We were searching for some retro candy for an upcoming event. The warehouse isn't huge, but it is big for a candy store. It is really for buying cases of bulk candy. It is not a cutely displayed vintage candy store, but it also does not claim to be. It was a really good place to get the bulk of the candy we needed for the event. Everything was sold in large amounts. We picked up some items such as jawbreakers, candy cigarettes, Big League Chew, and Now and Laters. I did wish some times came in more of a variety pack and that others came in slightly smaller portions. We did decide to buy some of the items elsewhere because we simply didn't want that much of one flavor of a certain type of candy. I think it is a great place to buy candy in bulk, though I do think the variety could be a bit better. All in all, it was a useful trip for us to prepare for our event. read more

A quick search on Yelp in search of a candy warehouse that offers a wide variety of bulk candy for the candy buffet I was planning for a party. Many of the places looked pretty small and only offered certain types of candy. Based on the great reviews of this place, I decided to check it out!!! Needless to say I was not disappointed with the wide variety of candies available! There was no one else there and I was able to take my time looking through all of the aisles. Nice place and convenient but in my opinion it's not the most affordable. These items came up to $60. I ended up going to Tijuana and got 3x time the amount of candy and two big boxes of chips, two big bags of chicharrones for about $130. We have sentri and made a day out of it when we to Tijuana so it was worth it for us. But if you don't want to make the trip and don't care about spending money then this is the place. read more

After getting back home, opened the box much to my surprise the rocky road that is normally thick soft marshmallow was flat (refer to the photo) the box I purchased was not damaged, nor was the bar. The chocolate that covered the bar was not damaged. I've purchase years ago from this location with perfect quality. As my son brought to my attention several packages were melted of different products. But my 3Musketeer bar didn't show same issue. Don't know why, put disappointed. We came here to shop for our wedding candy. My friends are getting married in November and I'm right behind them, so we decided to shop to see what goodies we can find. The ladies who work there are super friendly and helpful. They gave some really good pointers as to when to order our candy for our candy bars and to look online to pre-order them. Aside from Mexican candy, they have all your favorite American candy bars. But, really, if you're not a business owner (or candy whore), I doubt you're going to buy candy in this quantity. But, if you are, you are awesome!! And, probably an unknown diabetic. If you have special projects, they also carry a ton of bulk items. From Jordan almonds, gummy bears, 1-color M&Ms, and if you remember them, Sixlets (which put M&Ms to shame). Unfortunately, they don't carry and European chocolates, which are superior to ANY chocolate you will find in America. My favorite candy bar used to be Kit Kat. After having some of the many Kinder brand chocolates, it's hard for me to eat any other chocolate. I can't wait until this place starts carrying Happy Hippos, Kinder Bueno, or my favorite, Kinder Maxi Kings (this is a refrigerated chocolate, because it uses fresh milk. The taste is unbelievable). While I have only been there once, then service was spectacular. They answered all questions I had and were eager to do so. This place is open to the public, so don't be afraid to drop by and just check out what they have.
